DETROIT— Detroit Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew has been fined $25,000 by the NFL for abusive conduct toward an official in Sunday's game at New Orleans. The league also says receiver Nate Burleson was fined $7,500 for grabbing a Saints player by the face mask, and returner Stefan Logan was fined $7,500 for flipping the football to an opponent.

How about this one. Woodson fined for "almost helmet to helmet contact"

Packers | Charles Woodson fined $15,000

Green Bay Packers CB Charles Woodson was fined $15,000 for his roughing penalty in the Week 13 game against the New York Giants. The NFL said Woodson was fined because he "struck the opposing quarterback in the head area." It was not a helmet-to-helmet hit.

I applaud the spirit in which this thread was started.

Having said that, I hate when the league suspends players for off-field transgressions.

Whatever happened to Jerome Simpson getting caught with all the marijuana in the state of Kentucky? How is it he's playing out the season and Davis and Williams are suspended 4 games?

Were Davis and Williams PEDs suspensions??

Eagles

Trent Cole fined 15k for hitting JP Losman too low. CB Hanson was fined 15k for hitting JP Losman too high.

"The NFLPA is not happy about it," defensive end Jason Babin said. "Nobody [on defense] is."
in reference too all the fining by the NFL latelyNew England’s Jerod Mayo was fined $25,000. Mayo struck Indianapolis quarterback Dan Orlovsky “in the head and neck area,” but wasn’t penalized.

Rams rookie wide receiver Austin Pettis has been suspended four games without pay for violating NFL rules on performance-enhancing substances, according to CBSSports.com Rapid Reporter Ron Clements. This will keep him out of the Rams' two remaining 2011 regular-season games against the Steelers and 49ers, as well as the first two games of 2012.

I was pretty high on Pettis coming into this season but he hasn't shown much yet and now the suspenion. I think I can safely not protect him in my top 40 players in zealots.
