First thing. This is completely separate from the "Man On Death Bed Regrets Not Spending More Time Arguing On Facebook".
Tim Ferriss today reminded me of the quote and I wrote something on my Facebook and Instagram for it.

Good words today from @timferriss as he reminded me of a quote from @annelamott
“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.” — Anne Lamott
She’s one of my favorite writers and has a gift for delivering clear and attractive communication. But that’s not really the point for this.
The point is I think she’s 100% correct. We all need to unplug at least a little bit. Now very likely that just means a good nights sleep. Or maybe it means more time. I would suggest you experiment and taste and see what works for you. Newsflash for you younger guys as well: this only gets worse as you age.
One thing I see more and more clearly each day is the value of “seasons.“ It may be at the rhythm of a week. Or the literal seasons of a year, I truly do think intentional rest is hugely important. We all know this. But I think we mostly give you lip service as we still over value the “hard worker“ or the “grinder“
Like anything, it’s on a spectrum. We all know people who “rest“ for the majority of their time and get very little done. I’m not talking about that. I’m talking about intentionally resting and resetting. Play around with it and see what works best for you.
Much love for you guys. Have a great Friday.
