What are your other sources of saves? How far are you behind in saves? What is your standing in the other categories? I think Accardo is real.

I could use some help. I am about 10 behind middle of the road in saves. I have about 5. I am good in the other categories, offensively speaking. When it comes to pitching, that is the reason I am 7 out of 14.

Accardo looks to be the Jays closer for the forseeable future.

How many teams in this league? 10 saves is not a big number to get you into the fight. Have you looked in all the nooks and crannies for potentially free closers? I'm always apprehensive to accept a trade that's been offered to me; I always feel better about doing the offering, but you do need saves. Keep in mind that Kelly Johnson could be a stud in runs all year, though.
I'd rather have Kelly Johnson to be honest.
Jays are in a tailspin. Hearing reports that the team will be dismantled. It's conceivable that Accardo is good all year and saves 30 games. It's possible he isn't even closing any longer in July.
If it were me, I'd be looking to move Rowand for a decent reliever. I'm not that fond of him to begin with and he seems like a better sell high candidate. Johnson has been getting on base all year, which bodes well.

When you say dismantled, does that mean Vernon Wells is gone too? 
No. Toronto had to dramatically overpay for Wells to stay, so they can no longer move him. If anyone would take Glaus's contract, I'm sure he'd be gone. Less than 20,000 fans in the stands already for a 16-22 team. Ryan is out for the year, pretty sure they'll be out of contention by all-star break. Wouldn't surprise me if this team goes into rebuild mode pronto...keeping maybe Wells, Rios, Halladay and Overbay?When you say dismantled, does that mean Vernon Wells is gone too?

After Rios wasn't in the lineup a few days ago and Gibbons was extremely evasive as to why, 'they' speculated that perhaps a deal was imminent. Probably nothing other than Gibbons being frustrated with the season, but you never know.No. Toronto had to dramatically overpay for Wells to stay, so they can no longer move him. UPDATE::: I did miss out on another one but that was only because our league is so slow to process trades. I accepted yesterday about an hour after I posted and he is on the roster now. ALSO: Just swung a deal to get Nathan from the twins for Rowand. Traded with a die hard phillies fan who is pretty much all over it. So that should help my save situation giving up Johnson and Rowand.Still have Pence, Byrnes, Holliday in the OF and hopefully Giambi and Howard come back healthy.

Thats what I was thinking. And selling to a phillies fan, the guy probably liked what he saw about rowand. He hasn't excepted yet...but he says he likes the deal
