Yeah, I've wanted a thread ignore for a long time. Doesn't seem like something that would be tough to implement.I've been wishing there was a thread ignore function for a long time. And it would be great if ignored content was truly invisible, with no option to view it at all. Also would be great if you could "like" certain posters and have the ability to sort threads so that their content was on top. Your FFA, your way.
Maybe when it becomes the red board.

Since he has his own thread, you can avoid 90% of his posts by just not opening his thread. Once you isolate all of those posts, he becomes a pretty normal poster in other threads and is more easily tolerated IMO.

A thread ignore feature would be great.
Another great feature would be a sort of faux ban. The way it works is, instead of outright banning people, they continue their ability to post, but the catch is that their posts are not visible to anyone else. Would be perfect for the "look at me" people who will wonder why no one ever responds to their posts.

He can be a little harsh but he does deliver honest criticism and advice to better your current situation. Gotten under my skin a few times but he's usually right when he does pick an argument.

I never put him on ignore, but I think he's the only one I ever reported. He posted he wished one of the ACC-threaders had died in a terrible storm that had gone through the area.
