Using Twitter to gain insight (1 Viewer)

ugh, i've had it.. just turned off kffl, nfltransactions, rapidreports (CBS), CBSsportsNFLI was getting the same information at least 3 times
There is a stage of weeding out redundant feeds, or those that seem to just indiscriminately repost things from a site as opposed to pick news based on urgency and relevance.

i think thats a good move to start, also be liberal with the unfollows.

Is there anyone to follow that is worth turning on device updates for? I am going to the Bucs game Sunday and the net on my phone usually goes out in the stadium so the only way I can find out what is going on around the NFL is if I turn on device updates so I get them via text. I can't remember which tweeters were solid last year during games. Bloom?

Sigmund - I don't think you have to retweet Peter King or Adam Schefter, I'd say the odds are most people following you are also following them.

Sometimes you just see something and want to second it, I try to keep that to a minimum, but obviously the labor situation is on my (and others) mind this morning.

Well I've done a fair amount of work with Twitter to customize it for what my needs and tolerances are.

I love it now and I think it's absolutely given me an edge in my league this year.

for most situation i've found that the combination of following Sigmund Bloom, Schefter, and Peter King has given me all the information I need to know.

As for text alerts - I'm also enjoying the alerts from a website called scoresline.com - they have a fantasy football beta text service that is sending me texts anytime one of my players scores - I dig that quite a bit as well (since I only have 2 teams).

Also I can say I fully recommend the Fantasy Sports Channel on XM - 147 XM, Sirius 211 if you have the best of XM Package.

I'd say twitter, scoresline, and XM are contributing to me having one of my more enjoyable fantasy seasons to date (but not necessarily most successful unfortunately)

@texansbuzztap is the best site I've found for Texans tweets. All news and articles, no useless return tweets or the like.
