The US Postal Service is running a program called Operation Santa where you can help low income families buy presents for their kids based on their actual letters to Santa.  Seems pretty simple to do... look through the letters online and bring a gift to the post office and they do the rest.

I thought it was a pretty awesome idea and figured I would share. Figured at least a few FBG'ers would be interested.

How do you know the letters are from low income families?  Also, it says all letters have been adopted... Slow year for Santa?
