Why not just get a suite? I've never done it in Vegas, but we have our 12-man draft in a hotel suite in Austin every year.
Caesar's needed 10 rooms for me to get a group rate on my bday. Other places may give you better deals though.
I'm in Vegas as I type. I recommend this Red Rocks Resort. It's about 20 minutes from the strip up near the mountains. I booked the "Dinner and a Movie" special. $209 + $25 per day for "resort fees". Included is access to the Spa including steam rooms, saunas, gym and an unbelievable pool area. Also included is 2 buffets per person per day and movie tickets to the in house Imax both nights. The rooms are the nicest I've seen in some time. Huge flat screen, large granite/tile bathtub with a flat screen, views of the mountains free wi/fi. The rooms are very modern and hip...great decor. So for under $300 total you get treated pretty well. Highly recommended. I'll be coming back here.
Red Rocks is my favorite non-strip resort. Great locals joint. I will make out to the M Resort (about 10-15 minutes south of the strip) later this year.
I made the reservation through my host and she offered it to me.where did you find this?i just made a reservation at Mandalay (at The Hotel) for April and they gave me $450 in casino chips without me asking--there are lots of deals out there

The M is nice and the cocktail waitresses consistently have the BIGGEST RACKS I HAVE SEEN IN VEGAS! Each and every one of them. No one is smaller than a D and many seem bigger.Plus 5 dollar craps and BJ.... thumbs down for no Blue Moon and some cheap Hefe.
Basically if you lose enough $, the casino sets you up with an employee who takes care of your trip--hotel, dinner, club cabana etc.
Place looks sweet! I've driven by it before on the way to see Red Rock Canyon. May have to check it out as I am headed to Vegas in July over the 4th. Can anyone comment on the gaming action? Looks upscale...table limits comparable to the strip I assume.
Normal Vegas gambling. You can find any limit you need. The floor isn't huge but it's adequate for the traffic it receives.

Maybe so, but the service, rooms, meals, transportation the whole trip was the suck! I used to go to Vegas at least twice a year, maybe I need a break.
The place was hopping when I was there. Hotel was booked to capacity every night. Drove down the strip on Friday afternoon and it was jam packed.
Me too, granted it was in October. Most of the time, any vacation - gambling involved or not, is what you make of it.
Got another offer from the Mirage, 3 nights free between June1 and Sept and some free chips. Looks like I'll be heading back out there soon!Just got back, finished down $700, I've had much worse trips, so I'm happy about that. Zumanity....eh, nothing special, wouldn't go again, the fishbowl scene was hot, but other than that it wasn't memorable.Ate at Gallaghers in NY NY, it was ok. They had Root:1 cab which is the best bottle of cab you can get under $100, so that was good
Just got back today from Mandalay and there were a lot of kids enjoying the Wave pool - there's a kiddie section with smaller waves.Topless pool reopens next week
You haven't been able to do that on your standard trip to the Strip (i.e. just walking up and not searching out deals) in at least five years.

I love the Venetian. It is the best hotel in Vegas that I've stayed at. If you have the chance, you should do it. The wife will LOVE you for it.

Agreed. The $100 tourney (or is it 120?) at 7 PM each night is great. I've played it a couple times. Won it once. Finished just out of the money the other time. Very soft 4-8 hold-em games too.

I know they are basically the same property, but the Palazzo seems to have newer suites. I couldn't pass it up--strip view, sunken living room 3 HD tv's (including one in the bathroom) for around $600.00 for 2 nights.

I couldn't pass it up--strip view, sunken living room 3 HD tv's (including one in the bathroom) for around $600.00 for 2 nights. Pricely I know, but I was looking for something special just to end our vacation with a bang. We are flying into Vegas on the 5th--2 nights at the Luxor, then driving to San Diego--5 nights at the Lowes Coronado Resort (zoo, beach, Seaworld, etc..) and then driving back and ending with this stay for a couple nights. I think the family should be happy. If they are not, I am finding a new one.

Just got back from Vegas last night and had a terrific time as usual. Trade show was at the Mandalay. Put in the requisite multiple visits to the Burger Bar, met the chef, that was cool. Highlight of the trip was the last day when yours truly went on a 39 minute roll at the craps table in the middle of the afternoon. That evening we went to meet a co-worker's brother out at the new M resort. I have to say, that place was very, very sharp. It was about 12-15 minutes from the Mandalay, but I was impressed with the amenities and I have to say, had terrific service on the casino floor from every one of the dealers, waitresses, pit bosses, etc. After gambling with the robots they have at the Mandalay, it was almost like a reminder of what service should be in Vegas.

gonna try the $20 trick and hope for the best. I am tend to be pretty open minded. (my point was that the Palazzo was pretty "wow" when all was said and done).
