Looking forward to a quick stop June 5-7, staying at the linq and will probably stick to Mlife and MGM places since they give me the free players club upgrade. That said, I’m hoping craps stay cheap during the week otherwise I’ll gladly move downtown to play.

Revvvvv your engines gents. The offers are coming for July. They look pretty good.
My caesars offers werent very good. Mlife was the usual two free nights at mandalay/park/nyny or three free at the luxor.

So looks like luxor it is again!

Harris is right next door they seem to always have a $5 game during the day unless there's an event at the convention center.

Booked at Circus Circus.....rooms Downtown where the draft is supposed to be held are $ 500 - 600 per night....but I'm thinking they may switch locations  ..Circus looks like they are cheapest on strip....and I'm predicting  Draft will have to be on strip since turnout in Nashville was so big.....
I heard they were doing it outside the new stadium.  From a guy with Vegas ties.  Maybe not?

Casino Royale always has $5. I like Harrahs though because they have a ton of $5 table games. Because, I’m not playing $15 Ultimate Hold Em somewhere when it’s really 15 + 15 + 15 and then potentially more on the flop.

Like most of the games in the casino, the "minimums" are very misleading.  Like 3 card poker for example, when that game is $15, it's really $50 a hand if you're playing for the bonuses.  $10 is my limit and any game especially craps.  If a craps game is $10, you really shouldn't play unless you have $200-$300 to put in action or you're never make money on the game.  When the MGM opened in DC, the lowest tables were $50, most were $100.  I just laughed watching people standing in line at the craps tables with a $100 bill ready to play.   I use to play bigger years ago when I started making real money but there were too many days of me driving from the casino after dropping 5 stacks on a Tuesday.  Screw that, $5-$10 games is fun enough for me.

Yeah this is where I’m at. It’s supposed to be entertainment. I find myself going to Vegas now and spending more money on dinners and spa and stuff than gambling. Amazes me the amount of money people will gamble away.

Just a heads up.  If any FBG might be interested in going to Vegas on Sat Jun1st for checkout Mon  Jun 3rd--PM me.  As of now I have an extra 2 bedroom suite at the Wyndham Grand Desert that I'm letting go for super cheap--like $275 total.   I booked it for a business acquaintance that cancelled due to some unforeseen circumstances. I've also texted my friends about it- so let me know quickly if you are interested.

Nice offer.  I am celebrating my 50th that weekend and that would have worked out well.  Ended up booking something else. At our age, coordinating schedules for 5 couples with kids was herding cats.

Heading to Las Vegas tomorrow for a work conference. Unfortunately it's at the Westin Lake Las Vegas and I just recently found out that they don't have a casino there. WTF would you have a conference in Las Vegas that is off the strip AND no casino. Boring....and it's not even close to the strip. The closest casino is 10 miles/20 minutes away (Sunset Station). Normally I like going to Vegas for work. I have a feeling that's not going to be the case this time.  :kicksrock:

Oof.  That's a bad beat before you even get there!

Lake las vegas is awesome. We have stayed there twice. It is beautiful. There are some decent bars and it is just a nice little atmosphere. I didnt find the drive to sunset to be too big of a deal, but I mostly went for sports betting.

So just booked two nights at the Wynn in August.

WARNING: SLOTS APP NERD TALK BELOW  (that can fairly easily get you two nights for 9.99) MOVE ALONG IF YOU HATE ME FOR THIS.

Got the nights through the slots app. I ended up paying 9.99 after busting to get the 10x multiplier on the daily bonuses. Any of you guys considering doing this, don't waste your time trying to do this for free. Just pay the 9.99. It is not a guarantee, but it is by far the most economical way to get an insane amount of coins and speed the process way up. Obviously the scratchers as previously mentioned are pretty important. Some of them are very hard to get and you can waste a lot of coins chasing them.

The bonuses are awarded as follows, small one every 15 minutes. Middle tier every three hours, big one every 12 hours. The 10x multiplier takes whatever amount you draw or spin and multiplies it by 10.

The amounts you win on theses bonuses actually count towards scratchers. So if you are smart about when you claim the bonuses you can make getting the scratchers a ton easier. So if you are able to collect the mid tier or top tier already, it pays to wait 25 minutes to be able to claim it during a scratcher game. Pretty easy to come out of that three day stretch with several hundred million in coins and then you are pretty darn close to guaranteed to get the number of gems needed for 2 nights with that stack.

The best was during one of the contests the scratchers were like win one free game, win one million on one spin, win 10 million in coins, and play 500 spins at monkey power. I got the high bonus and spun 850k which game me 8.5 million. Then I did the middle one and got like 90k which turned to 900k. Set it to 500 spins on monkey power and let it do its thing. Pretty quickly got what was needed to get the scratcher and scratched them all off. Stack just ballooned real quick there. I hadnt played the monkey power game yet which then I quickly learned that this is a great game for getting the platinum scratcher.

The platinum scratcher is really hard to get. Monkey power has a big side bonus game that takes a lot of spins to get. You can cash at 40 fish, 60 fish, 100 fish, or 140 fish. I learned to play and not collect until it is about 136 fish and then I would wait until the platinum scratcher game to get the final fish because then the whole amount of the bonus counts toward the platinum scratcher. One of the times I got all the way to the top and got like 60 million in coins. I would say during the first few days when you have bought the 10x multiplier do not chase the platinum scratcher. You would be better off waiting until your coin stack is a couple hundred million and then you can play wynn jackpots for 100k a spin which then makes it pretty easy to hit the platinum combined with the boost from the monkey power game.

It sounds complicated, but now that I know the games and the ins and outs, I will have my wife log in on her ipad and set it up to get two more free nights for another stay. Might even consider just spending the 9.99 back to back times to make it so i barely have to pay any attention or actively do much at all.

I don't recommend trying for more than two free nights on one account unless you really enjoy playing fake slots on a device. As you get higher and higher in levels you really don't accumulate gems very quickly.

I would even think spending 100 bucks on the 100 times multiplier for 3 days is probably well worth it if you want to pretty much get a couple nights for a drastically reduced rate and get them quickly. You would get like 2.5 million in coins every 15 minutes plus 8 million every 3 hours and another 50 million every 12 as well as hit every scratcher with almost no spins. You would easily get 1-2 billion in coins with minimal effort. Kind of depends on your desired level of effort. I obviously cant guarantee that spending 100 would net you 2 free nights, but it seems so unlikely to me it wouldnt.
I think I ready Wynn just increased their resort fees to $45/night.  You'll have to pay that, correct?

Heads up to anybody that might be in Vegas next week.  I have several extra tickets to see Shin Lim at the Mirage on Saturday June 1st.  The tix I have are center section orchestra section.   They are going for $200-300 each--and I have them at $125.  PM me if interested.

Leaving for WSOP in an hour.  :club: :spade:  :diamond:     11 days. At least 2 WSOP events. And many OM8 and HORSE events on the off days at Aria and Orleans.

Still think Vdara is tough to beat for the combination of location/quality/cost.  Too many people are scared off by the fact there isn't a casino on property, but you're inside the Aria casino faster than you can get from the elevators to the tables at half the hotels on the strip.

Heading in for a couple days next month.. I've been told Encore at Wynn, Cosmo, or Venetian are good choices now. Thoughts?
I'll agree with Bob S. above. But, I'm a Venetian guy. If given the choice, I'll stay there every time.

The Cosmo is nice, especially if you can get a suite overlooking the Bellagio Fountains. It's very awesome. But I hate the casino there.

I'm not a big fan of the Wynn. I stayed there once and just didn't dig it.

I'm a big Cosmo fan for a few reasons.

1. They have their own players card (not Caesar's) and give very good offers.

2. Video poker at chandelier bar is my favorite spot to play.

3. Awesome hotel/art/restaurants.

4. Pool right on top of the strip.

Flying in tonight for a quick weekend fix.

Staying at Vdara for the third time in late October.  Love the proximity to everything and how quiet it is.

$20 trick worked like a charm at the Cosmo.

10 minute walk?  15?  I've good good things about Aria sports book but never been.

Maybe 10 from the Vdara elevators to the Aria sports book, but the book is on the far end of the casino.  Less than 5 from the elevators to a gaming table.  You walk through a small lobby in Vdara to a walkway where there's a cab line the two hotels basically share, across to the entrance of Aria. Really short walk through the doors to the casino floor.

Do you concur with the positive reviews of Aria's sports book?

What is the best sportsbook to purchase a table/row of chairs and watch all of the opening Sunday games in the NFL?   would like to keep it under 200 per seat.

Not sure on pricing, but Westgate and Venetian are 1 and 1A as far as quality of screens go.  Venetian has been my groups' go to on our annual trip for several years.  But, one of our group is the kind of guy that likes to get up at 5, get a cup of coffee, and go save us seats.  So we don't have to pay for seats.

How many guys? lagasse’s Stadium would be awesome if you could reserved a row of stadium seating.

I’ll second the Venetian sports book. It’s good.

Whats the recommended way to perform $20 trick
Look for the youngest, most outgoing, smiley desk clerk. Fold the bill up and place it in between your credit card and license. Hand them that sandwich while asking with a smile "are there any complimentary upgrades available?" If you don't get what you were hoping for just ask them. "Any way to get the resort fee waived?" "Can we get the room that has that stand alone tub?" "Can we push our check out time back a few hours?" etc.

I assume when you're in a line 100 deep at 4:30 on a Friday you just push it at whatever clerk they point you to?

If it's packed you do what you gotta do. You can always let whoever's behind you go ahead and wait for your guy/girl to free up.

Just my opinion, but I don't think Lagasse's is that great.

You have to guarantee to spend a ####load of money to hold a seat. The drinks are way overpriced and the food is just okay.

I agree on the food. Mediocre at best. The rib eye was the only good thing we had and we had it all. Still, fun spot to watch sunday football.

Is there a preferred tower in Venetian?

Is there a preferred tower in Venetian?
Nope. Just ask for a view. Some of the rooms have crummy views and some are great. The main elevators are right by the Grand Lux. The Pallazo rooms are identical, just decorated differently so if you ger a better rate there, go for it.

Shark move is to do online checkin. Then when you go to pickup your keys talk to the live person helping people at the kiosks. I asked about the tower I wanted and she upgraded me. I asked if it was ok for her to accept tips and she said yes. No lines.

I play nice guy/naive and it works every time for me. She would’ve helped for free but I gave her a $10 bill.
