It seems to me from watching the game yesterday that he really doesn't get many targets. His TD came off a blown assignment, and Smith kept throwing it to Delanie Walker for the majority of the game.

Hes a great blocker, this is a conservative run-first team that doesnt have to fling the rock as much as they have in the past. Hes a low-end TE1 right now. Delanie Walker is more of a hybrid H-Back type. Terrible blocker. When hes in the game hes running routes and is a tough guy to cover. hes a big time 3rd down weapon.
I only got to see it yesterday against the Giants, but he's a great blocker on a run first offense, and when Smith drops back to pass, Davis is in there to max pass protect.
That was the first SF game I watched this year but it seems to me that they wait for the defense to kind of forget about him, due to all his blocking, then they use him for a home rum shot. Delanie Walker is the targets guy and maybe the guy to own at this point. Espessially against a tough pass rush defense.
