Vernon Gholston listed as DL (1 Viewer)

Buffaloes

I noticed Gholston is listed as a DL in a league of mine. I wasn't thinking about rostering him as a LB, but I'm wondering if he gets a bump while listed as a DL in tackle heavy leagues?

Certainly improves his value. Whether it's enough to make a real difference is another story. Gholston isn't a lock to ever become an all-around LB, and the early reports would suggest it definitely won't happen this year. He may get 45-50 solo tackles this year, but I wouldn't bet on it.

He's probably a solid roster as a DL4 (assuming you start two) if you have room to see how he looks and progresses over the first month.

Thanks...btw, I apologize if this comes off as a WDID thread...I just a few people might run into this and thought it was a broad enough topic to be put in the main IDP forum.

Agreed. I think it's general enough to stay.

 his value is definitely as a DL, and Im surprised that any host site is listing him as anything other than a LB at this point in preseason. He will be listed as an OLB next year assuming there is no coaching/scheme change.

 One word here: PROJECT.He's got a long way to go and as it is Jets fans are ready to jump off the bridge on this guy...Personally I wasn't high on drafting him - But, that's a huge transition to all around OLB for what he did in college.I think the staff threw him into the fire this preseason and gave him a ton of looks - even in game 4 just to show him how far behind he is and what kind of effort he needs to put in - the team has a few players who made the transition to OLB so, hopefully they push him along.
