yeah the Jet defense is coming along pretty well. I think it comes down to Jenkins transition from 4-3 DT to playing NT in the 3-4. That will be the biggest key to the Jets success on D imo. As far as Gholston, I think he will sub in for B.Thomas on passing downs to get pressure on the QB early on. Im not sure how good he is going to be but I hope hes a monster

I think Gholston will turn out to be a very good pass rusher. By week 8, I'm sure he will be playing quite often. The Jets have done great scouting when it comes to D players the last few seasons, and having the chance to get this guy is really a nice pickup.Regardless of all the talk from guys like Mayock and the other various talking heads in the media, I'm looking for this to be a great D by years end. They picked up some needed depth at DB positions and will have plenty of LB's to rotate if needed. Jenkins become the guy to keep an eye on, if he can produce at the NT position this could be a very under rated defense this season. It's tough to project Gholston toa Merriman or Ware level just yet, but I think we should have a pretty good idea by how he plays in the preseason what we have in him.
