video clip

I want to see somebody go down that bad boy first. According to the comments, looks like it's for multiple riders at once on some sort of tube or raft.

Makes my stomach flutter just to watch that video.

Looks like you can kill two birds with one stone here.A fun slide going really fast and an enema at the same time.

I was thinking "Back straight, arms crossed," but the raft makes sense. My first thought (without a raft), "...what if one of the seams curled up in that scenario?

You'd be skinned alive.

Meh.

The Insano in Brazil, that this thing claims to break the record of, is a hands crossed back straight solo ride. If you and 3 friends do this, it becomes a better "log ride" but is dwarfed by many roller coasters... which is really what it is not a water slide. At least not in the traditional sense.

The insano, now that is terrifying.

One of the lines in the video said "You and three friends" and you can see the black thing on the side is a conveyor for moving the rafts up to the top.

After all of my years traveling worldwide, no way I'd ever ride something like this outside of the US, Canada, Europe and maybe Japan. Other than that, no chance.

Oh hell yes I will ride this. Is there a Wile E Coyote-style Acme instant ramp that could be deployed quickly at the end?

we need to get Dentist to go down and dump on it
too many stairs. I'll wait until they install an elevator.

But it would be awesome to unload a dump on that thing

Finally got the chance to ride this thing this morning.

It's so far beyond any other water slide/water park thrill ride I've experienced, I don't even know how to categorize it. The only thrill ride I've done that scared me more is the Top Thrill Dragster stunt coaster at Cedar Point.

If you've seen the Travel Channel special on the making of it, you've seen the mishaps and adjustments that had to be made.

The slide is down to three riders instead of four, and they try to limit the sled payload to 500-600 pounds.

At least they don't make you wait on the staircase up to the tower. Most of the rides are scheduled via sign-up sheet that fills right away in the morning. There's also a standby queue, but an hour after the park opened they were quoting two-hour waits to folks entering the line. So all the waiting processing is done on the ground, and the sleds are sent up to the tower on a conveyor so you don't have to carry it up the stairs with you.

Since it's a sled ride, it's not as much of a wedgie-inducer as those single-person water slides with trapdoor entries.

Highly recommended. But if you aren't at the park before it opens, don't plan on being able to ride it and experience much else in the park.
