Very cool Aaron Rodgers interview (1 Viewer)

Great interview, but what interested me the most wasn't him ripping Kornheiser but how he reacted when the hosts wanted to know who his top 5 QBs were. He had two tiers - Brady, the other guys, and then Peyton below them. He was VERY hesitant to put Peyton on the level of Brees/Romo/Philip Rivers, and pretty obviously doesn't think too high of him. He said it in a manner of, yeah, I guess he's good, I have to put him here because people will think I'm crazy otherwise.
wow..........how is Peyton not a top tier NFL QB? is rodgers a dipsh#t or what? maybe he should not do interviews.

wow, he was way mean to kornheiser. kinda comes across like an arrogant doosh.personally, i liked kornheiser better than miller. miller was wayyyyy too obscure for football fans, or anybody for that matter. miller was better as a comedian and kornheiser is better on PTI. neither was a fit on MNF.he's right on with jaws though. annoying know-it-all.
Those who don't know the context will think of him that way.Thats why he apologized for how it came out, not really for what he said. Its a spot he does with that guy often, they joke around with each other...its been mentioned in this post.Oh no, he was mean to TK...come on.He explained quite clearly why he ripped TK...On Peyton, he clearly thinks Brady is the best...and specifically said, no order to the rest. Not sure where someone got that he was so hesitant to put Manning on the level of the other three though.

Aaron Rodgers is rapidly becoming one of the most entertaining players in the NFL.First Rodgers ripped Tony Kornheiser, and then he went on Twitter to call out a Green Bay Packers teammate over the news that the USC will have to vacate all its wins from the 2004 college football season."Looking forward to getting my PAC-10 championship ring from the '04 season. Thanks @claymatthews52,'' Rodgers tweeted, per the Post Crescent.Packers linebacker Clay Matthews redshirted the 2004 season at USC, when Rodgers was in his final season at Cal. USC won the Pac-10 that year, while Cal came in second.
:lmao:

Those saying he's coming off as "cocky" or "arrogant", umm, he's an NFL QB. There's only 32 of those guys currently starting in the world. If you want to do that and be good at it, you better have some of that "arrogance". Considering how well he's done in his 1st 2 years as a starter, I'd also say he has every right to be cocky because he's got the production to back it up.
I see what you're saying, but I think his team needs to actually accomplish something before he can be excused for coming off as arrogant. When he wins a playoff game I'll appreciate his arrogance more. He might as well be saying "I'm an awesome fantasy football QB."

Rodgers regrets criticism

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP)—Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers(notes) says he regrets airing his complaints about ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” broadcast team in a recent radio interview.

Speaking with ESPN Milwaukee 540 AM this week, Rodgers sharply criticized former Monday night broadcaster Tony Kornheiser, saying he did “absolutely no research” and doubts that he knows “anything about sports.” He also threw a barb at current analyst Ron Jaworski, calling the ex-QB’s past opinions of Rodgers’ fundamentals perhaps the worst segment “in the history of TV.”

Rodgers now says the radio was an “inappropriate” outlet for his thoughts and that he didn’t mean to disrespect anybody—although he didn’t necessarily back away from the substance of his criticisms.
:)
Heck, I like it.Say what you mean, crank out the standard 'regret' statement to defuse any controversy, and everyone moves on.
It's the opposite of ballsy.
