Vick's Dynasty Worth (1 Viewer)

In my 4pt passing TD league, Mike Vick is the 7th leading scorer despite missing multiple games. If you take his total points and throw out the game he went out early in the first and his 50 pt game, Mike Vick is average almost 26 pts/game in the other 7 games. This is 3 pts/game better than the highest scorere (Aaron Rodgers) and includes the early games where he wasn't even the official starter. He's 30 years old and barring injury should be able to play for another couple of years at a high level. Potential injuries are one of his big issues obviously. Anyway, I was wondering who'd you take for him straight up in a dynasty league? I'm not sure there's anyone in the league I'd rather have right now.

Why not for Rodgers? Vick is only a few ppg better this year and that's on fewer games. Rodgers has consistently been at the top for 3 years and is more than 3 years younger than Vick. Regarding injury, while he's not yet Manning or Favre, he hasn't missed a start in the 3 years he's been a starter. As you pointed out, injuries are a concern with Vick. Vick's career will not likely be as long and speed will go a lot sooner than throwing ability. Rodgers could have twice as many elite years left.

I would take Rodgers over Vick in dynasty with no hesitation.
Most people would in Dynasty IMO, but I doubt that most Rodgers owner would part with him in a staright up trade. And probably not Rivers, Brady, or Peyton either. Possibly the Big Ben or Romo owners depending on their enthusiam for their QBs. Definitely Schaub if you want to go there. There is old expression, there a lot of running QBs but not many old running QBs. The guy won't slide so any injury may just be a matter of time.I would try some package deal with a younger QB with a lot of upside. Maybe the Bradford owner. Ryan doesn't have much upside IMO, but you might swing a starting WR or a servicable RB in some sort of trade, perhaps with a draft pick. The problem is, it will ultimately be league specific to individual owners, what they need and how they view Vick's value.,
