Video games...what ya playing? And what are you looking forward to? (5 Viewers)

Just had an awesome ghost mission.

Had to kidnap a guy. Base was crawling with bad guys.  I cut the power.  Killed only the minimum. Extracted the guy and left.

Was awesome.  Did not wipe out the whole camp.  I have to go back for other goodies but I'm concentrating on the main missions now
You seem to play a lot of games at once. How do you keep the controls straight? I have to do one at a time or else I get all kinds of confused. Heck, I still press wrong buttons in Horizon based on Far Cry Primal controls.

Lol.  I don't normally play this many at once.  But I'll screw them up from time to time

I haven't touched horizon since ghost recon came out. I'll get back to that soon.

:goodposting: I'm the same way, one at a time or it is a hot mess!

On the PS4 you can change button configs.  Sometimes if I'm playing two similar games where the buttons are different I'll match them.

Lmao..... As soon as I hit it I was like noooooo

Need to get 4.   I mean it's fun pawning people with just 2 but it's work

Speaking of Horizon, did my first two Cauldrons this week. They have taught me the value of resistance potions. First time, I just went in to the boss battle like any other battle and got mauled. When it reloaded, I made resistance potions for what I was fighting. Then I tore IT up. Made such a huge difference! I also did as someone has said earlier and am sporting like three different bows, all for different types of damage. Allows me to take out some high level machines. But I will still slink away from a lot of tough packs. I'm not looking to be the dead hero type.

I am only a few hours into Divinity Original Sin (after a complete restart) but I think I just had the "click" moment you get when a new game becomes clear to you.  For me it was understanding that the team has to work together and not as individuals when fighting.  Setting up combos via hybrids across your characters is very satisfying in combat.

As a long time console player I automatically went for the controller as I do on any game on the PC since I can't move characters with my left hand but luckily for some reason the controller was not near me and I wanted to just quickly check something in my inventory and realized that you don't move the characters in this game with the key board.

The character movement is all with the mouse (point and click like Path of Exile).  Once I saw that, the game became even easier to deal with since there is a lot of inventory manipulation and pointing which is always easier with a mouse than a controller.

I think I am going to be in this for the long haul!

Titanfall 2 has a decent SP campaign.  I was maybe 60% done.  There was a recent update that made my progress disappear. It's enough to make me want to return it honestly.  It's happened before and keeps happening yet EA keeps doing it.

That's it! Once you understand that, and start feeling powerful because of your abilities/arrows/spells/etc, combat is a real joy.

Nobody as of yet. I am still working on growing beans
I played Stardew a lot when it came out. There is just so much to do. Fantastic game but not for everybody.

Look into getting some quality of life mods like one that shows on your map where NPCs are.

I also used one that froze time in the mine because I hated only being able to go there for 5 minutes at a time.

Got it for the xbone, not sure if mods can be used like in Skyrim.

I'm taking a hard look at Divinity because of you guys. Thanks a lot, jerks. I already have too many games I haven't delved far enough in!
Just make sure you play past the first city.  The first city is slow with lots of talking and getting tons of quests.  But once you get out in the world it really picks up.

Great little game if you enjoy turn based fighting.  It is not a strength of mine but I want to give it a real go with this game.  The creativity in battles seems to be only limited by your imagination.

Opting to work through my back log rather than investing in new content.  I have so much unplayed stuff on PC and XBone that it just doesn't make sense to not play what I have (I bought this stuff for a reason, right?).

Going with Saints Row: Gat out of Hell.  Love this series, just so irreverent, and so far GooH is not disappointing.

Nearly complete with the Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition download.  Hoping to putz around with it tonight through Thursday and then restart with what I've learned on the weekend.  Tough though because there is a lot of great hockey that I also need to dedicate time too.  Life is hard.

That reminds me:

Old Time Hockey will be arriving on the PlayStation 4 and PC on March 28th, and will come to the Xbox One sometime in Q2 2017.

Doing something similar. I have a deep backlog on Steam. Loaded Metro 2033 and Darksiders.

I was able to get a Nintendo Switch without a preorder thanks to Amazon's local Prime Now service. I did it mainly because I'm a huge Zelda fan (I was about 13 when the original came out and I can remember staying up all night playing it during a sleepover). But I also have two kids, ages 12 and 7, so they're playing Zelda, too. I gotta say, it's a great game, one of those where a couple hours can go by in what seems like 10 minutes. The map is huge. I play only an hour or two a night, but I've just been wandering around, finding stuff. When I walk the kids to school in the morning, we talk about what we've found in the game (everyone's progress is saved under their own profile). My 7-year-old son was cracking me up this morning talking in detail about how to use flint to start a fire in the game. It's pretty cool.

JFC. Played the same mission 10 TIMES on Wildlands. Still couldn't beat it.  Finally got to the end and I couldn't get the guy I had to escort into a helicopter and had to go by truck.  Got within 1 click of the destination and I was blown up. FML

GONNA NEED HELP @belljr
:lmao:    I'm pissed that I had to replay an area we cleared out for a medal but we somehow didn't do the mission.  I think you already completed it or something so it doesn't sho up lol

@Scoresman  This freaking Stardew Valley game is the most relaxing and enjoyable game I have played in a long time. Its a HUGE time waster and I really am not sure if there is any sort of end to it. At this point all I can think about is getting home, seeing how my blueberries and corn look and trying to get down to another 5th level in the mines.

DAMN YOU STARDEW VALLEY!

IDK if they changed it, but in the beta you could never ''claim'' a base like in Far Cry.  You kill everybody and then they respawn in a few minutes.  Like a very short annoying time.

No it wasn't about the base being clear.

It was more we did an entire base clear to get goodies without somehow doing the main mission in that area :)

Then of course I had to do it all again

Horizon, is there anything you can do with a "Vantage" collection? I know you can trade Metal Flowers, Vessels, etc. But what about a complete set of Vantage views? Anything?

Dishonored 2 New Game+ is almost a must-play.

Awhile back, I finished with Corvo, and started a new game w/ Emily, but my interest quickly waned (I hated her move power - Corvo's blink is so much better). Then I read they added a neat NG+ in an update, and I tried it out last night. It's excellent - you get to keep all of your rune points, and you have access to both sets of powers. I started off with 39 runes, and gave Emily a fully upgraded Blink / Time stop, then started on her powers (Doppleganger, chain enemies). Yes, you are waaay overpowered, but isn't that what NG+ is all about?   This will suffice until I can start Mass Effect Tuesday.

Been traveling a lot so lots of time on planes recently and this game has been fantastic. Have spent probably 15 hours just walking around and really haven't been bored yet. Opened up almost all of the map and haven't really done any of the main story.

I very much enjoy single player open world games like Fallout and the Elder Scrolls series.  I haven't played that many hours yet, but I am really enjoying Dying Light.  When I get to the point where I won't be a hindrance,  I'm looking forward to playing online with my son.  I really enjoy the single player game play, and the story so far is faily interesting.  Any Bethesda game fans might want to give Dying Light a try.

As much as I love ghost recon it's starting to hit that point.  I just started focusing on the main missions and they are becoming ridiculous.
