Havent played Red Dead Redemption in over a year, just played it again, was stunned at how amazing the game still looks and plays. Its holds up far better now then GTA 4
Agreed. I finally powered through and finished it (including the two false endings) a few weeks ago. A very solid game - I felt like I got my money's worth.
False endings?

What are these two false endings you're referring to? I played through it once but didn't realize there were multiple endings...
"Ending" One: Kill Dutch. It seems as if the game is about to end at this point, but it actually keeps going and you find yourself on your farm shooting crows, herding cattle, and teaching your son how to hunt."Ending" Two: The shoot-out with the Marshalls/Army in which John gets gunned down. Again, it initially feels like this is the end of the game. But then we jump 10+ years into the future and now we're playing as John's son.Real ending: John's son tracks down the guy who killed his dad and kills him in a duel.

FWIW any FBG that does not own Borderlands REALLY needs to get it at this price. $7.50 for all the DLC is a steal. Such a fun game, and the cell graphics are a great change of pace.

So has anyone actually installed and signed up for Origin then?
Apparently I am. EA accounts will automatically be converted to Origin accounts. When LoLSec hacked EA the other day, I made sure to update my password and settings over there and I got a response that my EA Origin account was changed. I haven't downloaded game client like Steam yet, though. I hope they allow you to change your display name to whatever you want like Steam does.

Well, then I guess I have an Origin account, also.

:bag: I put it down after the first "ending", guess I have some more work to do.

Nothing terribly remarkable about today's deals on Steam. :sadbanana: Borderlands deal is gone.
Hamilton's Great Adventure looks interesting, but nothing I'd jump out of my chair for. Normally $10, it's $5 today. It's a top-down platform puzzler like the Lora Croft game was. I'll probably pass, but I put it in my wishlist for another day. I'd never heard of it until now, so at least they got the word out.Oh, and of course there's KOTOR for $2.50 if you haven't played that. I only played a little on XBox, so I thought about getting it. I remember liking it.

I got the Might & Magic V pack

It includes a few rts games i may never play but the Might and Magic Dark Messiah game has always intrigued me. I read a ton of reviews and I don't know if it's shtick or not, but apparently people love it and its one of the most underrated games of all time. Ill be playing it in about 10 minutes an dIll let you guys know.

Also picked up just the original Magicka along with a RL buddy. Interested in playing that. The DLC is so cheap and steam always has sales im not missing anything by not buying the whole package deal.

I'll be purchasing my first game since Black Ops this coming Tuesday.

A couple good friends of mine will be buying it too. Just trust me on this one. This will be the most ultimate co-op game the universe has ever known.

Slow goings for me on Steam today. Usually games DL fast, but maybe a lot of other people are buying. Point being, I paused the DL for M&M V pack and....Set my sights on Magicka. Two things.... Who hear plays, and I need an invite to the steam FBG group thingy, please?

You're already in the FBG group.

Sunnuva ---Cant run Magicka on my laptop.

Apparently Magicka doesn't like Intel cards and what is mine? Of course. Now I know this after I bought the whole package deal for $16.

It would be awesome if one of the older Soldier of Fortune games came up for super sale. Those were big fun.

Star Wars: Empire at War is on sale for the next 13 hours or so for $5.00. Reviews look decent enough for fans of Star Wars.

Today's Deals:

Magicka, Bioshock 2, Resident Evil 5, Battlefield BC2, Fable III and Football Manager 2011 among others.

I'm considering Football Manager even though I'm not a soccer guy because I've heard so many good things about it and I've always liked a good sports sim.

Anyone playing Red Faction: Armageddon? How is it?
Its not getting good reviews.
Yeah, average at best. I just have fond memories of the first RF. That was a fun game, and the first one that really let you blow stuff up in the environment.
I just starting playing RF:A after really enjoying the first one. It seems ok so far but it feels like a Halo rip-off and it lost a lot of the charm the first one had.

Fallout:Vegas $9.99 at Best Buy for all platforms this week (PC, 360, PS3). Considering it.

Torchlight on sale for $2.99 via Steam today only. Sooooooo worth it.

ETA wait, that was yesterday. It is only there for 4 more minutes.

Steam has Vegas for $14.99 right now. That might be easier, as I only save maybe $4 due to tax, but don't have to pick it up, AND it is attached to my Steam account. What to do, what to do. . .

Let me give you a hint:"Thank you for your purchase!""Steam unable to download this now. Try again later!" <_<

I'm so backlogged w/ games that, by the time I could get around to playing F:NV fully, I'll get it on Steam w/ all the DLC (2 more still to come out I hear), for a cheaper price.

I got it a couple weeks ago at $19.99. Going in this week to price adjust it. It's a steal at $10. The game's massive. You asked about attaching it to your Steam account. The PC version requires Steam, so it would have to be attached to your steam account. So, the Best Buy route is cheaper for game only. But if you aren't going today and want the DLC, I see Steam also has the DLC for about $2 each (I wish I could get that for the XBox version, damn Best Buy for not having the PC version in stock!), so getting them all on Steam for the game + DLC would be worth it.I'd really consider Homefront for $25, but my wife would kill me if I buy another game right now. We're trying to save up for a vacation next month. I should probably wait.

I am looking at Homefront, as well. :bag:
