But your kids will love you.
my son is 5. I already bought him disney infinity 2.0 and lego batman 3. I spoil him
The Mario games are great for my son's video game challenged friends since they just have to follow him around. Watching some of the play Mario Kart drives me crazy.

Trying to see if I can get Black friday deals on Microsoft store. They cant handle the traffic. Sigh. Should have known. This is an effing joke. You can't even get to the checkout right now. Are the servers running Win Millenium?
"Wow! Traffic's heavy right now.Give us half a minute to catch up, then refresh this page. Sorry about the delay."
#### it. Been at it for 40 minutes and I feel like I'm in 2002 trying to play Star Wars Galaxies on Launch Day.
Same issue here. And finally 20 minutes ago, it started showing that the XB1 was out of stock. Glad I wasted 2 hours trying.
Same HERE!!!!! WTF!!!!Get a new ####### site microsoft that doesn't cater to the auto scripts and screws regular people. Now I have to go out to a ### ####ed store today after travelling all day with 2 3 year olds.
I managed to get on this morning and get one. It's showing in stock again and the website is functioning fine now.

I very rarely have any sort of a video game backlog, but I sure do now. Currently playing The Evil Within -- and I'll definitely replay it a few times -- with GTA5 on deck and Mordor schedule to arrive from Amazon next week. Pretty sure I'm set for a while now.

Is anyone else having problems installing stuff from Steam today? I don't know if it's just my PC/network and I'm a computer dunce.

1. I downloaded Civ V without a problem overnight.

2. When I try to install it, it runs through the % install screen, then at 100% says Steam is "too busy to handle my request for Civ V (error code 53).

WTF.

ETA: it was McAfree messing with the install. I suck. Game on.

Evil Within ($19), Lego Movie game ($14), Gran Turismo ($7) all in cart at Best Buy.

Shadows of Mordor and Watchdogs are both $24
Mordor + Lego Lego for me. So much better than hitting up a store.

Now I just need the steam sale to include some of the Telltale Games stuff - I need Walking Dead Season 2 at a super steep discount. Sale ain't great so far.

Score!!!

This morning I was able to snag Shadows of Mordor and The Evil Within for PS4 at 25 bucks each on Amazon.

Slightly off-topic but I figured this might be the best place to ask - I'm looking at a new laptop for gaming. What would be the preferred arrangement - an i5 with 16Gb or an i7 with 8Gb? I'm going with the discrete video card so I think I'm covered there.

Amazing how those two got discounted so deeply so soon. The Evil Within isn't a perfect game and could have use some more polish, but I wouldn't have felt bad at all about paying full price for it. And everybody who's played Mordor seems to like it.

Yeah I love survival horror (Dead Space series being the best ever IMO) and loved the Batman games a bunch (combat in Mordor being pretty much that free flow concept). Seemed too good a deal to pass up.I will be set for the next year.

Dragon Age 3

Far Cry 4

Alien Isolation

Shadows of Mordor

The Evil Within

And my three sports games still going superbly strong (The Show 14, Madden 15, NBA 2K15).

Okay, I'm about a third the way through The Evil Within, and it's really hard to overstate how much this game draws on Resident Evil 4. Some of it is obvious, like the chainsaw-wielding mini-bosses, bear-traps scattered around in random spots, dynamite-throwing zombies, and even ladders that you can exploit by kicking guys off as they try to climb up. But some of the level design is instantly recognizable too.

That's not meant to be a pro or con necessarily. RE4 is 10 years old and TEW may feel like an old-school throwback or just outdated based on one's preferences. Also, this game clearly lacks RE4's polish and is seriously rough around the edges when it comes to various gameplay mechanics. And the protagonist isn't even qualified to carry Leon Kennedy's gym bag. Then again, the "burn bodies" and "find keys to unlock supply lockers" angles are pretty cool and innovative.

Most of the reviews that I've read peg this one as a love-it-or-hate-it title. That seems about right, given what a throwback this is. I'm loving this one, but it's still not a title I could recommend to everyone and I can't blame somebody for playing through the first couple of chapters and calling it quits.

Destiny is showing up as "Install" on my X1. I have the version for 360, so does this mean I can

DL it with no charge? No biggie either way, but I'd like to know beforehand. I have a couple other games I actually bought to DL first.

TIA

Just came to post. Was it digital?

Xbox

Q. When I buy/redeem the Destiny Digital Base Game, Expansion I or Expansion Pass for Xbox 360, how do I get the free Xbox One version?

When you buy/redeem the Destiny Digital Base Game, Expansion I or Expansion Pass for Xbox 360 on or before January 15th, 2015, you can download the Xbox One copy from the Xbox Store for free by doing the following:

Log into your Xbox One using the same Microsoft Account (Xbox Live Account) used to buy/redeem the Destiny Digital Base Game or Expansion Pass on Xbox 360.

Navigate to the digital contents location in the Xbox Store.

Add the item to your download queue and wait for the download to complete.

Expansion Pass content (which includes Expansions I and II) will only be available for full download once released.

Q. When I download the free Destiny Digital Base Game for Xbox One, will I still be able to play it on Xbox 360?

Yes. Your Microsoft Account (Xbox Live Account) will retain licenses for both consoles.

Q. When I buy the Destiny Limited Edition or Destiny Ghost Edition on Xbox 360, will I also be able to download the Xbox One version of the Expansion Pass that comes with it for free?

Yes, when you buy the Destiny Limited Edition or Destiny Ghost Edition on Xbox 360 and redeem the Expansion Pass by January 15, 2015, you will also be able to download it on Xbox One by doing the following:

A physical or digital Xbox One version of the Destiny game will be required to play this content on Xbox One, sold separately.

^^Thanks guys. Looks like its free. :excited: Is WWE 2K15 the same? Sorry on mobile here.

ETA: Destiny wasn't digital, we will see what happens.

Just got a ps4 and bought 2k15. How many people are playing here? Haven't opened yet. Should get a decent amount of time to play some tomorrow and Tuesday.

If I don't purchase ps plus right away for the ps4, will I still be able to go online to do basic things like sync trophies and get ps4 sw updates?

Oh yeah, you don't have to have it for that. Basically the PS+ gives you some free games every month and sale prices on other games.

Is it also needed for multiplayer online play for games?

On the PS4, yes.

And the Walking Dead and #2 just hit $8.50 on Steam. Best price ever for #2, BTW.

Yeah I'm finding ps4 not having tons of deals. When I bought mine I think I got a game. If I known the big bundle was coming I may have waited

Thoughts on Forza 5 GOTY edition and Fifa 15 for the X1? Both look gorgeous and I am debating between the 2 for my final DL.

I can't believe the difference between Advanced Warfare on the 360/X1 versions. The control sticks are light years better and it's so crisp and defined compared the 360. Loving my decision to jump next-gen.

If you think it looks good now, just think about how crazy it's going to be in another 2 years when the system hits stride.

A couple PS4 deals looked good this year but nothing to tip the scales for me to buy one. One huge minus is the PS4 doesn't allow, unless they changed it, external hard drives to play movies/tv shows. That is what I use my PS3 for mostly so "upgrading" to a PS4 is something I'm not in a hurry to do for that reason.

I'm good with my PS3 for now and probably for the most part of the next 3-4 years.

The lack of DLNA support for streaming and no support yet for watching movies from an external HD kept me from buying a PS4 as well.

But a few months ago I picked up a cheap WDTV Live box which does more than what a PS3 can do for playing and streaming media so I no longer needed that function from PS4 which allowed me to finally upgrade.

FWIW, Sony is almost certain to add this functionality to the PS4 with in the next couple of major sw revs.

Let me just preface my comments that I love my wife, but over the past 25 years one of the worst things about her is her ability to buy gifts for me. She believes Christmas is for giving presents you need (socks, ties, underwear) rather than what I want (video games, sports cards, movies).

So I was planning on buying Disney Infinity 2.0 for my 10 year old daughter as she has been playing 1.0 on the 360, when I came up with the idea--"Hey, why not buy the 2.0 on the Xbox One, so I have an excuse to buy it?" After much convincing, the wife says okay (you know since it is for our little one), So I go to Newegg where I have an account and buy the Assassin's Creed Xbox One bundle. But you see that creates a problem, because you have to spend over $500 to get the interest free/no payments for a year. So I have to still spend $160.00 more. What to do?? So she says in total disgust, "Do whatever you need to do." So I bought GTA5 for the PS4, Diablo 3--Ultimate Evil Collection for the PS4, Dead Rising 3 for the Xbox One, The Evil Within for the PS4 and a set of gaming headphones. It came to like $650.00 but talk about fun shopping.
