Video games...what ya playing? And what are you looking forward to? (2 Viewers)

I love the Evil Within! Thanks IK. I feel very nostalgic playing it as it reminds me a TON of RE4. Im in chapter 7. I have two small complaints

Everytime you die it takes at least 30 seconds to load. Thats annoying cuz of how often I die.

I really hate parts in video games where you have to run for your life. The bloody, long haired monster parts are annoying. They remind me of the parts in Dead Space when you had to fight that regenerator. Maybe just a pet peeve of mine though. I like exploring, fighting, etc
Glad you like it.

I cut my thumb making dinner.

My trainer/wife did a nice job bandaging me up.

I am going try to push through the pain to play tonight.

Handling the left joy stick might be as awkward as DeMarco Murray trying to catch a pass.

Your showing a lot of heart, a lot of courage. Fight through the pain Newly.

Gotta fight through it!

I think I'm around the same place as Todem in Shadow of Mordor. I got Ratbag promoted to Warchief, and I just finished killing the other Warchiefs. So far so good.

But now I'm struggling to figure out how to handle one of the remaining captains. The guy is level 14, which makes him higher-rated than some of the Warchiefs I just murdered. He's immune to combat, combat finishers, and ranged attacks. His only weaknesses are that he can be damaged by (note: not insta-killed by) stealth attacks, and he's afraid of caragors. Oh, and he has the regeneration ability, so I can't cat-and-mouse him with stealth.

How the hell am I supposed to take care of this guy unless I get incredibly lucky and there just so happens to be a caragor around when I find him? His combination of attributes would seem to make him unkillable.

Skip him until you can ride Caragors, then you can kill him easily.

I haven't played in months...but want to finally finish Red Dead and had a few hours yesterday. Ignored all side quests and took out Dutch. Now I'm back with my wife and kid, and I've done some events with the kid like herding cattle, hunting, etc. Kinda meh. I'm thinking either the Govt shows up and kills my family and I go Punisher on the entire old West, or this is the end of the game...kind of odd.

So should I keep playing or set it down?

Looking forward to Evil Within.
Keep playing.

OK, so I only had one more scene to finish, and then all hell broke loose. I think I'm at the end of the game now playing as Jack. Anything else to do besides go for 100%?

Pretty sure that's it. They set up the sequel quite well. Too bad there is no sequel...

I had one who was the same. But he was promoted to a War Chief (and was a huge nemesis) level 20 and his only weakness was stealth attacks (not kills) and fear of fire. So I was able to lure him near a grog barrel and detonated it, so he was running scared, started nailing him with shadow strikes (kept draining Uruks around him to reload my arrows as we were fighting in a huge wide open ravine inside of a stronghold), and beat the crap out of him and then finished him with a combat finish and beheaded the SOB.

IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure if it's the same guy I haven't played in a couple weeks. Think it's the first war chief. If it's the dude in the corner room I went to the outside of the wall in the bushes and summoned him. Only he came out and I knifed the #### out of him

I will check tonight and give his name. He was a SOB to kill.

I believe the weaknesses are randomly generated

So, that PS4 bundle I got was supposed to come with the camera, Last of Us and one other code to unlock another game. I get the email from Amazon, and they sent me 2 codes for copies of LoU AND 2 codes for the free game. Grabbed NBA2K15 and Little Big Planet 3 as well as LoU. Trying to decide what to do with my other code. . .

I know this may not be some of the games you play but Kingdom Rush (an iOS game) came out with their third installment a month or so ago. It was $4.99 but I just bought it for $2.99 on the app store. Good game with hours of frustration if tower defense games are your kind of thing.

I keep getting vendetta missions for guys who killed you. Rest assured that you're being avenged on a regular basis.

Also, I just got into the second area this evening and messed around with one of the stealth missions (the white ones with the little dagger icon). Holy hell it was a pain. I had to kill a bunch of torch-bearers in a compound without getting spotted once, and everybody seemed to have Spidey-sense for this mission.

Psa on mordor.

I kill my first warchief.

I choose on of the battles to interupt.

I sneak in blow up a fire taking many guys out. Put an arrow in the boss head. He has very little life. I get cocky. Figure I'll finish him off no problem. When 2 berserker out of nowhere kill me before I knew wtf was going on.

then 5 guys got promoted or upgraded ugh

don't toy with any boss. Even lowly level 5.

EAbell is my tag for anyone who is interested

Diablo update

Got my 3rd character to level 70. His paragon level is 56 and he is by far the strongest of the three I have built so far. I am comfortably playing in Torment 2, and thinking of maybe going up to T3.

I was going to push through for platinum but I am going to stick with this character for a while to see how far I can get in the Greater Rifts.

Prequel is coming I think. I HATED playing as Jack....sitting in that barn and not being able to at least go out shooting sucked hard. Loved that game.

And the more they attacks they survive the fewer weaknesses they have.

I've found the same thing. Sometimes it seems like I should have no problem taking out a particular captain, and then in combat I get swarmed by 25 guys who weren't there a moment ago. This is especially bad in the second area, where captains tend to hide out in cramped, high-density compounds. Of course if they didn't, where would the challenge be?

I managed to get all the warchiefs branded with not too much problem. A couple of irritating things though. First, If I want to give a command to a branded captain, I have to track him down and grab him, which initiates a fight with his followers and seems to get my mole killed. That's bull####. Also, when you fail a side mission, your only option is "abandon" which leaves you right where you are in the thick of things, with no option to go back to the start point. Seeing as how dashing to the start point resets everything anyway, I don't see why they throw that needless hassle in there.

Yep. The first-tier guys are ####### who can usually be OHKed by something or another. The higher-tier guys tend to be tougher. "Immune to combat" is the toughest by far IMO, although I did manage to take out one of those guys in close quarters with several bow headshots. "Immune to combat" coupled with "immune to ranged" is kind of bull####ty.

Immune to Finishers, stealth and ranged is a ##### as well add in the things that rage them like fire, pain, caragors, traitors, etc and it can be an utter disaster trying to kill them. I had on War Chief that had 5 captains. I turned all the captains, called out the War Chief and then ordered the captains to attack. This enraged the War Chief and he wiped out everyone including me.

This is kinda where I'm at with this game, and I've lost interest. Haven't played it in two weeks.

State of Decay has been pretty fun though. Great value for $5 during the steam xmas sale.

Guild Wars 2 is $20 today. This game worth it?
I'm a huge Guild Wars 1 player - been playing since its launch and still go back every month or so.

Word around the campfires is GW2 sucks big time. It may be graphically superior, but it's really scaled down gameplay and just isn't anywhere near as fun.

If you're giving that code away it would probably earn me a hummer from the wife. JUST LETTING YOU KNOW YOU COULD DO ME THAT SERVICE!

I'm playing Destiny on the PS4 quite a bit still. Username is K_A_N_I_L if anyone wants to add me. I do mostly PVE (don't really enjoy the pvp in this game) and do the raids once or twice a week.

So I picked another warchief someone the greedy or something. I need to set off the alarm. Next thing I know there is 50 guys chasing me and now 3 bosses and a warchief chasing me. I'm running around crazy trying to hide to lower the level of chase.

I kill one boss another runs away when I shot the lock off a caragor. Another took off when in the middle of battle I blew up a fire and he caught on fire. My " wanted level" us back down and the greedy guy says he is vulnerable to stealth kills. So I'm on top of a building, he gets within range and I hit square instant stealth kill :lmao:

I literally sprinted and climes around for like 10 minutes

Through two chapters of Evil Within. IK was spot on on his review. Enjoying it very much so far.

Installing GT5 for the kids, taking freaking forever.

Just got Far Cry 4 for the PS3 for Christmas. Never have played any of the Far Cry series, but the game looks pretty fun.
