I finished up my "commander" (hard) run through XCOM 2 a few days ago.  It was hard as hell at the start, but again I was pretty much rolling over everything by the 3/4 mark.  This is a great sequel to Enemy Unknown and definitely scratched an itch that had been there for a while.  That said, I'm a little burned out on it.  My two playthroughs took about 70 missions combined, and I don't think I'm up for a "legendary" attempt.

I just went back to this after Witcher 3. Tried a second run thru on Witcher but couldn't get in to that at all. So loaded up XCOM2. Just went Vet Ironman though. Need to remember how to play before going back to Commander. I love this game for some reason.

 
i think the new south park game is finally coming this month.....as well as assasins creed and i think i am going to get back in on call of duty...

Did they “release” Fortnite yet? Because the only way I could play was if I bought the Founders Pack. Which is $60.

It’s free for Battle Royale. Download and go to the Battle Royale option, not the whatever they actually call the main game part. I’ve been playing nonstop for 2 weeks and never spent a dime. 

Got two wins, three second place finishes, and a bunch of top fives.

Buddy was not but he enjoyed playing with you guys. Since I play so much, I know it sounds like Seal Team 6 but it's better for one person to just call the shots and positions.  It worked too, we had a group of newer players and won a game and got a 2nd place IIRC

It was not a criticism. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I’ll be on by 8 and will play some solo until everyone is in. 

 
My 8 year olds grandpa wants to get him a new Xbox One for Xmas.   We have a 360 now but I see there is a now an Xbox One S and an X

What's the major difference... just graphics?   Or is it going to be a case where in 2-3 years new games will only run on the X?  I want to get some good mileage out of this one 

TL ;Dr is it worth paying more for the Xbox One X over the S model?

We got very fortunate in that first win.  Won the initial fire fight and then got the benefit of the circle ( everyone had to come to us with the ocean at our back) and a supply drop ( which gave us the sniper rifle that let us engage everyone from distance)

Yeah I'm gonna hop on a bit earlier.  My duos partner and I were gonna keep grinding leaderboards because the ladder resets Tuesday but after missing just 2 days of playing we fell from top 500 to out of the top 5K.  It's insane how many people play this game.

Not at all. Better players will play with you is about it.  There may be LAN tournies in the future that will look for certain rated players, etc.  But if you're looking to have fun, there's no need to grind 8 hours a day like I did for a while there :coffee:

 
If the extra few dollars doesn't mean that grandpa can't buy groceries this month then buy the X.

New games will be optimized for it and older ones are being enhanced for it.

As I understand it there isn’t going to be much of a tangible benefit for anyone who isn’t a graphics junkie with a high end TV.  Even the guys on IGN’s Xbox podcast haven’t been able to make a case for it. Maybe down the line some games will do some cool stuff with it, but we haven’t seen it yet.

I like it much better than the first.  I've already pre-ordered it and I don't regret it this time.  Last time, I cancelled my pre-order after playing the beta/demo, I was so disappointed with it.

Similar. I was cleaning my glasses while being chauffeured to the next compound. Next thing I know TLEF is out of the car, covered in buckshot, near death. I guess I leaned on the mouse somehow. Or maybe I meant it.

HAHA!  Nick used to light his teammates on fire accidentally in L4D2 as well.  Was fun playing with him.  Always a good time.

Alright with this libelous bs. This was a totally different situation. The only explanation is I leaned on the mouse while   cleaning glasses. In L4D you guys deserved it. 

 
I played pubg for to many hours. Burnt out pretty hard at the moment. Maybe I'll come back if they ever add a non crate lmg(not as strong as the m249 of course)

There's only one map per mode in the beta.  I'd love to try out all the maps, but that's reserved for next month during release.

To anyone that might know:  This new Call of Duty WWII game coming out.  I see it has a zombie mode, but all I see is that it is co-op.  Would I be able to play it alone though?  The last one you could.

I'm not 100%, but I'm fairly certain you can play it alone. With the new class system, it certainly seems like playing it co-op is the ideal way to play. Sounds much different than previous zombies games in a lot of ways in how you progress and proceed through maps.

I'm really looking forward to a COD for the first time in quite a while.

 
I just noticed my top 10 solo finishes are not showing up in my stats on PUBG. That is irritating.  I've got three forth place finishes in the last three weeks so i have to think I'll get a dinner here soon. Somehow I've ended up outside the final circle and have had to advance on entrenched players. I'll have to work on that. Major props to Bender and TLEF and friends for all of the education in squad play.  The longevity of this game for me is going to come in squad play.  I'm looking forward to the new map!

I’m kinda looking forward to it, but I’ve read its basically the same as the last few, just without the flying.  I’m expecting it to be a bunch of coked up high jumpers running and gunning all over me.

I'm in it for the single player.  I'm over multi-player, and have been for a long time.
