Good comparisons. BTW, Ozy, we're holding an inaugural dynasty prison torture draft. I've got the 1.01 and am probably taking China, but we have a spot open if you're interested.

Depends on your league rules; if Cuba gets credit for Guantanamo Bay, it's the obvious choice, but if your league credits Guantanamo to the U.S., it's just another TBC situation.

Never heard Grogan referred to as "The General". Grogan played in a day when you didnt need neat little nicknames like the ones Berman or Stu Scott might give you. Although I always liked John "Hog" Hannah and Sam "Bam" Cunningham. Stanley "Steamer" was good too. Or "Mini" Mack Herron. I guess there were more nicknames than I remember but I dont recall one for Grogan or Steve Nelson who were the Heart of that team.
Not to hijack the thread, because I also mourn the loss of Darryl Stingley and wished he would have outlived Jack Tatum, an athlete that I have the highest contempt for. But getting back to Grogan, he was one QB who didn't mind taking the ball and running if he had to, despite not having the obvious athletic ability of today's scrambling QBs. I believe he still holds the NFL record for most rushing TDs by a QB in a season with 12.
The best part about Grogan taking off out of the pocket was he rarely, if ever, took the QB slide. Rather, he'd lower the shoulder and make the tackler pay for trying to tackle him. He was blue collar....one of a kind.
