what do you guys think? It's obvious that Favre needs a receiver and VJax is available right now. I think the vikings believe they are a contender even after a 0-2 start but are they willing to give up draft picks to get him?

draft picks shouldnt matter to a team with Favre. They have already let it be known the future is right now, of course they should spend a draft pick.

I would think they should offer up to a 2nd rounder and maybe an extra late rounder for Vincent. It's not only Favre; a lot of the team is in a peak performance range. When you have the pieces to make a run, you do it.

The problem, IMO, is that Favre doesn't trust any receiver other than Harvin and Shaincoe.. Teams are doubling up on Shiancoe and Harvin isn't 100% and isn't practicing enough to get "in sync" with Favre.Get VJ, who can out leap 90% of CB's and Favre has a target he can trust to go up and get the ball.I say they make a move an get him.. If they have any shot at the Super Bowl this is the last year for a couple years IMO.Favre is done, Pat Williams is done, Winfield is aging, the OL needs to be rebuilt as Load"ofcrap" and Mckinnie are just not cutting it, QB is a BIG question mark after this year... Giving up a 2nd rounder for VJ is worth it as a "last chance"..

They had 2nd and goal at the Miami 4 with under 3:00 left this week and didn't get it done. They decide to throw instead of run AP three times in a row, then maybe they are 1-1. AP didn't get it done.

I think the big thing is that Favre is not playing any different than he did last year. He always has and always will be a gunslinger who is just going to throw it up on occasion. The biggest difference is not having the large frame WR who can go up and get it. Harvin is most effective in the slot, not on the outside. Berrian also does not have the frame and has seemed to have lost the step to get separation.

Why do people say he needs a WR? All we have heard from Favre fans over the years is that he turns chicken #### into chicken salad.
