Minnesota homers:

Have any comments or updated info on the current status of the Viking's secondary? With Cook expected to out for the game and Griffin recently activated from the PUP, is Brees going to put up video game numbers tomorrow night? I know Winfield is a quality DB, I always thought he was a better (actually very good) run defender than in pass coverage.

Just wanted to see if we should revise the NO passing game upwards based on this, or is the data baked in to current projections?

Something I saw said that the Vikes only have 3 CB's fit to play this week and might use Abdullah in Dime packages instead.

ETA: Also said there was a rook CB on the practice squad who may get activated for the game.

As a Vikings fan I hope I am wrong, but I expect NO to put up huge passing numbers. They love to pass anyway and the Vikings pass defenders are not the team's strength and are not healthy. I own Meachem, but won't start him because I have better options. But this is a good week to consider Meachem and Moore because the team's third and fourth receivers in particular will have good matchups. If Henderson is matched up against Lito Shepherd he should get open a ton too.

Wondering Meachem's status with the NO offense right now. I know he was injured but came back to play in the preseason.

I also know Henderson is officially "the starter" opposite Colston and Lance Moore is as healthy as he's ever been.

Trying to figure out the NO receiving situation, beyond Colston, is not easy. But there could be serious FF value for those who start the right guy(s).

Possibly. I think its a good sign they trust him to start. If he were simply suiting up I'd be more likely to agree. Same defense held Brees in check last game......vikes demise greatly exaggerated lately. I think it will be another great game.
