Footballguy
This is the second week in a row that I started Young based on a good matchup and a high Footballguy's ranking (top 10 both weeks). He is absolutely killing my team. I realize that he is hurt this week but he was doing nothing in the three quarters that he played. Why so much love for him?

He does possess intangibles that can pull out a win but seriously, will this guy ever put up big fantasy numbers or is he a waste of a roster spot? Let's hear some opinions on him

In the last three weeks (with Alex Smith 3 weeks ago when he played ONE play) I have about 5 points from the QB position. I went against my gut and didnt start Huard, stupid stupid.

Not a VY owner or VY hype-believer. I get sick and tired of hearing 'he did just enough to win the game'....'he threw three picks but still got the win'. I've never understood this - I think he has a good OL and its his opportunistic defense that does just enough to win the game.

 Why do you hate african americans?

I've said on many occasions that he's way over-hyped. His ranking each and every week proves this. It started with the "Rookie of the Year" award which two other rookies out performed him by a wide margin.

:tfp: 'Because black QBs face more scrutiny than white QBs.'

Still can't believe Jones-Drew didn't win that award. VY the next coming of NFL QB play? Please. :banned: :yucky:

Are you serious? Did you not watch the insane plays he made at the end of games last year to get a bad team into the playoffs? He's definitely not a great fantasy option because his passing stats aren't conducive to lots of yards, but to ignore the fact he performed well in the clutch last while playing the most important position on the field is inane.

I'm confused. Are you referring to your fantasy team?

No...they won 6 of their final 7 games. If they won the final one, they still needed like 9 different things to go their way to make the playoffs. He won games when they had nothing to lose. Let's not act like he was playing in real pressure situations or anything. I'm not trying to dismiss him because obviously he's done that in the past (college) but last year the Titans played with no regard to outcome. The one game they suddenly had to win they got blown out (though admittedly they played a far superior team).

The titans only have three plays...a dive, a draw, and an 8 yard out. Todays Titan game was just awful to watch. Vince is a good QB, but nothing special. Fisher only wants him to not lose the game.

So why wasn't that OL or opportunistic defense doing anything last year before VY took over? Why were they so horrible in 2005? VY comes in and instantly the Titans become a great team.

Good to have the VY is a superstar and the preseason ADP is so overrated posters so quiet.

VY = great college QB and average at best NFL QB. One dimensional

Please. You can accredit some success to VY last year, but not nearly all of it. How about Henry and, as much as I hate to say it, Pacman? I'll never forget Week 15 (he went 8/18 and 85yds through the air) - they won 24-17 against the Jags. The 24 points came from a Pacman return and two long defensive tds. Of course, what do the announcers say? VY did just enough to win the game.

Yes, I am serious. That's why I posted this.

I am VY owner in a couple different leagues. Really thought he would do great with a big helping of rushing yards.

Suffice it to say, I cut him in one league today.

I may pick him back up, but that would be plan B at this point while looking at another QB later this week.

He is relegated to back up elsewhere, though to be fair thats with Kitna/Romo/Ben. However, he could be cut if I need the room.

Two of those games, if not three, were won by the defense. It's amazing how we forget this.

Dude, VY has been a huge dissapointment this year, any way you slice it. He has absolutely KILLED my team.
:confused:I :wall: VY as much as anyone, and even have him as part of a QBBC in one league (along with Ben), but if you were counting on him to carry your FF team, you have noone to blame but yourself. FWIW, I expected him to play lousy today, so I benched him. For Kurt Warner :bag:His play last week distressed me more than this week. TB's D is pretty good.
