I can't figure this guy out. Watched the game in week 10 vs Oak. On that Rivers int did he give up on the play or just lose sight of the ball? He's in the endzone and shouldn't he expect the ball to come his way? When the two Oak defenders tracked it he didn't notice that they were about to engage in a jump ball?

The big week potential is there as we saw in week 9. Then he follows it up with a dud. Can we trust him in fantasy playoffs?

I'm not sure he's got the polish of a top NFL wideout. He's a great athlete but just isn't in the same league as those other guys in terms of the details. He's good enough to dominate in a particular game or be effectively taken out by a good defensive plan.

I thought it looked like he was giving up on routes the whole game, and especially that throw in the end zone. The "other" Vincent (Brown) most certainly did not give up on anything thrown his way, and could be playing himself into a bigger role.

Is it really that or is it maybe the Qb; the guy that throws the ball? I know it sounds silly on the surface but VJAX doesn't make the decision to throw the ball and while we have seen VJAX having the ability to make great athletic plays and beat coverages at times, the more I have watched Rivers the past few weeks, I can't for the life of me understand how Rivers can't seem to get the ball to his main targets but seemingly every other QB in the league (playing against the same teams) can. Oakland can basically shut out VJAX AND Gates but guys like Decker and Stevie Johnson and Scott Chandler can push them around at will??

Worst WR1 I have ever had in my years playing fantasy. He was great when you could get him in later rounds - now his ADP is way too high.

Its utterly insane how such a talented wr and a talented qb can be so inconsistent. I think at minimum Vjax should at least get 5 catches a game. He had single coverage a ton last night and rivers never even looked his way.

hes not a high catch guy. he makes big downfield plays. those are more subject to variance than guys like welker or even marshall who grind out a ton of 10 yard catches. vjax is a slightly worse version of mike wallace.

its kinda funny that he is on pace for the best yr of his career aorn.

He's a big play receiver, not a guy that gets a ton of short passes that build up as the games goes on. Sure that happens sometimes but he's the kind of guy who gets those 40 yard plus gains and if he gets one of those, then he's on his way to a big game, without it he ends up with 22 yards.

I will say that 1 catch for 22 yards or whatever he got in a game where they are playing catchup is absolutely ridiculous, especially against a Raider team that was getting beat up recently.

Vincent Jackson is a guy you can't sit but he's a little like DeSean Jackson in that you are going to get a monster game or you may get a game where you wish you would have somehow sat him. How can you sit him against the Raiders???? You can't, ever so you have to live with these types of games or you pass on him.

The Chargers offensive line isn't doing their job either as the Raiders were putting too much pressure on Rivers, which didn't allow Rivers time to sit in the pocket and throw deep to Jackson, although a couple went to Floyd.

VJ surely has some of the blame but just like any player on a bad team they are inconsistant. Once we get past the fact that San Diego just isn't that good I think it would help expectations for all San Diego players.
