w. lundy 10 straight plays (1 Viewer)

Apparently you didn't watch them in years past with D. Davis. I'd venture a guess that no fewer then 60% of the offensive plays were run through or intended for D. Davis. I thought that would change with a new coach, but I guess not.

so is Lundy the starter? I didn't even see a RBBC yet and there is only 4 minutes left in the half

If he is the starter, he's not exactly lighting it up. Morency is still in the mix, just Lundy's turn to play.

Lundy looks ok as he's receiving the bulk of the work for the O right now...a lot of dumps and screens, but IMO he looks a little slow and lumbering when he runs, defenders seem to close on him pretty easliy. I mean for a pretty big guy Wali is fairly fast, but I think when/if Morency gets in we'll see a different gear. Not to mention he had a huge hole to run through on the 25 or so and he fumled and it almost went to Denver.....but they went right back to him on the next play. He also had a screen to him bounce off his hands for an INT I think.....it was a pretty bad Plummer pass though it looked like. Still that fumble could have been a drive-killer at the wrong time.

However, I feel like if the O had to run through Lundy they would do ok and he would grind out fairly nice numbers, but he just seems a tad slow IMO? No?

Let's see if we see a different tempo with VM in?

Lundy might not be "lighting it up," but he's the only person moving the ball for them. I said it in the other HOU thread that talked about the Rbbc...it's Lundy job by week 4 or no later than after their week 5 bye. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened before too. Lundy is the RB on the team that the current coach and staff selected...just remember that.

first week was antowain smith's turn with the first team offense. last week was morency's turn. this week is lundy's turn.

next week is chris taylor's turn???

Morency has yet to run with the 1st team for any significant amount of time, especially against 1st team defenses. I would have thought he would have been on the field today but no action in the first half has got to mean something.TOm

Thanks FootballGuys as I just drafted Lundy in round 27 of a 13 team IDP redraft league! We'll just have to wait and see............... but I will gladly take my chance at trying to get a steal!- I am a former DD owner/fan

Picked Lundy off waivers. Morency got drafted in the 9th round of my keeper league, but Lundy flew under the radar. You've got to love those bargain basement gems.

I don't think this would be there game plan in the regular season. They need to get a feel for their RB situation with DD obviously not ready to play.

On a positive note the texans should be little bit better than last year imo but that is not saying much since they have no where to go but up.
