Complaints and Grievances - We're starting with Week 2 - Line 'em up! (8 Viewers)

Ministry of Pain

My first complaint or grievance is with coaches or OC that call plays they absolutely know are not going anywhere

Example...it's 2nd and goal on the 10 yd line, let's hand off and run into the belly of the DL and gain 2 yards so now we have 3rd and goal form the 8
What is accomplished by doing that? Yeah Yeah I know they were just keeping the defense honest.
By God, you pay these QBs $50M+ a year, you have 2 downs to throw the football across the goal line for a score and you waste everyone's time crapping in your headset

i know you thought this was going to be about individual players that are not keeping up with where we drafted them, I figure most of you will handle that part just fine
I have other complaints and grievances that go beyond the players and right up to the people making play calls

And yes this thread is for folks that feel the need to get things off their chest
Please be kind to each other after a 6-7 hour afternoon of beer, cocktails and that vat of straight whiskey i'm getting ready to pour
Not to mention whatever you had with breakfast this morning

I'm sure there is going to be a list of players everyone has their fists up in the air with right now, LINE 'EM UP!!!

Week 1 - Seattle Seahawks
Charbs 12-47/TD, was involved early and your thinking he might be the eventual RB1
Walker 10/20
This looked like at the worst it was 50/50 time share

Week 2 - Seattle Seahawks
Walker explodes 18/105/TD meanwhile...
Charbs 15 carries for just 10 yds, that's not a typo...how could they keep handing him the football

Season
Charbs now 27/57yds on the ground, he had a TD last week
Walker 28/125 and a TD

How long is this experiment gonna go on? Seems like a complete 50/50 split from 1 week to the next and Walker looks better so far

It's KW's job....been saying it for months. Charbs didn't suddenly become more talented, and Walker less. Coaches, players all have stated that Ken is the stick that stirs the drink.

TIMEOUTS!!!

-The HC with the most wins in the history of the NFL, Don Shula. When you saw the Dolphins in the 70s and the 80s and into the 90s, especially with Marino, these timeouts were precious.
When you looked up at the clock with a couple minutes left in the 1st Half or 2nd Half they typically had all 3 timeouts left. Belichick didn't burn them frequently either

These teams and coaches burn timeouts like they're napkins at a Texas BBQ joint. Opening drive of the game and you gotta call timeout because you can't get the play call in from OC/HC?
Do you remember when the Niners in the 80s and the 90s would script their first 20 plays? What are these OCs doing to be ready when the defense is on the field?
You have ample time for several minutes to make an adjustment to what you see and get at least the first 4-5 plays you want to run.
You have a couple seconds at most, there's no time to do what FF GMs do at the draft and start thumbing thru magazines

J.J. McCarthy absolutely killed me. Derrick Henry too. Obviously I'll keep rolling with King Henry after one bad game against a tough run D, but J.J. doesn't look ready for the NFL right now - welcome to my bench, young man - and that MIN OL made the ATL D looks like the '85 Bears.

Scheduling gods hate me. Last week I played against Henry in multiple leagues, this week it's either Chase or Nabers. :ptts:
