W7 Game Thread - Philadelphia V Tampa Bay (1 Viewer)

I've just now calmed down enough to post.

Matt Bryant has looked awful this year, but that kick was a thing of beauty. :pirate: :pirate: :pirate:

The defense is playing much better,
Umm, not to throw dirt on the party, but the D gave up over 500 yards today, and a potential 55-yard game-winning run where at least four guys had a chance to make the tackle. The defense is terrible right now, and there's no reason to think it'll change. That said, it was a great game but I almost had a heat stroke at the stadium. Think I'm going to the sports bar next time, I can't take that #### anymore. :ptts:
No offense, but the key to our weak defense is still Jermaine "I'll tackle you by hitting you real hard" Phillips. On that 55-yd run, while everyone else was going for the feet of Westbrook to trip him up, Phillips tries to lay him out from behind, like the worthless safety he is.

He has over twice as many missed tackles as any other single player in the league, and that's saying something, considering he's nearly the leading tackler on the Bucs right now.

Brooks though is also looking very old these days. I can't imagine him playing more than one more season, and fully expect his replacement to be drafted next season.

Add that I can't believe the Bucs traded Booger away. While it was obvious he'd be gone after this season, there really isn't anyone who can replace him. I guess it was a good trade though.

Great game Tampa.

As an Eagles fan, if I had the option, I would have all of my games come down to whether or not any kicker can hit a 62 yarder.

Phillips may be the weak cog, but there's enough blame to go around. The whole defense is playing poorly.Booger was garbage. That has already been discussed here, and Brad Culpepper broke it down point by point this morning just how bad he's been. Good riddance.

Of course, Booger took Culpepper's job and made him expendable. :D

6 guys had a shot at him by my count. :bag:

Just got back from the game and I have no voice left. Awesome ending to a horrible game. Tons of Philly fans there and we were smack dap in the middle of a huge group - very loud but well behaved. Up above us in the nosebleeds was a different story - from the 3rd qtr on, it was a long parade of fans in green being led out in handcuffs. In spite of my hatred for the Iggles, I've learned 3 things that can unite us.

McNabb tossing his cookies :X

A single cloud providing 5 minutes of shade :hot:

a 61 yd field goal

Yeah, back in Nashville where it's forty freaking two degrees.Just caught Grudens post-game conference: Part of the factor in his decision to kick the field goal at the end instead of trying to convert 4th down was that he watched back-to-back 60 yarders in that direction in pre-game warmups. The kicker: David Akers :banned: Gotta love it.
