W7 Game Thread - San Diego V Kansas City (1 Viewer)

19 for 99 from Johnson against one of the best rush defenses in football, all with such little help.
Yeah, and the "best" RB in the game tanking it against an easy run defense.
His only bad game, FF wise, was....wait, he really hasn't had one. He had 140+ yds in every game except PIT, but he still scored a TD that game. He's gotten me at least 10pts a week, every week.
The point is, he should be ripping this defense apart since he's supposed to be the best RB in the game. Instead, Johnson, who was expected to have a bad game, is ripping the best defense apart.

Man, the NFL is a funny sport: KC got whipped up and down the field against Pittsburgh last week, then drew what was possibly the best looking team in the NFL coming into this week in the Chargers: And are kicking THEIR BUTTTS all over the field...

San Fran and Arizona both were playing with 8 and 9 men in the box. Hell, SF played a base 4-4 that game. SD isn't doing that, that's the biggest difference.

All the LT talk is moot now - he just scored on a ridiculously horrid defensive call. How you don't key on the best player on the field on 4th and short is beyond comprehension...

Maybe the entire KC defense had LT2 on their Fantasy team also? :D

The same thing was said on the Gates TD. First time they expected LT and it went to Gates, second time they were expecting Gates and it went to LT.

Indeed. And in both cases, the player was completely and totally uncovered - not a soul around. Inexcusable...

I can't see the ball in any of those replays.

Edit: That was BS. You can't see squat in those replays.

KC hasn't allowed a 100 yd rusher at home in like 2 years. And last week was the first week they got gashed by the run in a long time too. They are not a bad run defense, they are actually a very good run defense. LT just threw a TD pass, you're right he stinks.

is tomlinson still throwing the ball or is that cbssportsline being idiots. they said he completed the last pass to parker

Herm: "Go ahead, you try to win it, Marty."

Marty: "No, you try."

Herm: "We're trying not to lose."

Marty: "We're trying not to lose."

fn Rivers w/ANOTHER sack. Is the OL sucking that bad? Hell put LT back under center.

Edit: Gonzo tearing it up STILL......does SD not realize he is their best receiver?

Aren't the Chiefs really playing a gambling defense? When it's working they holds LT in check and gets Rivers out of the comfortable rythem he's established this season. When it doesn't guys get beat bad and the defense looks silly. You can't applaud the stops without willing to get burned once in awhile.Very tough loss for SD but good growing game for Rivers. Looked much better in the second half of the game than he did the first. Seems to need some time to adjust to the pressure defenses(just like vs PIT).An earlier poster made a good point that SD really needs Phillips/Igor healthy. Congrats to KC fans.... still hard for me to really dislike the Chiefs. I really like Herm as a coach and because of the make-up of their roster he'll get a ton of blame for taking over a very old team that was in transition even before he got there.

Good game by the Chiefs today, coming off an ugly game the week before.

Good game by the Chargers as well. After three turnovers in the first half (more than they'd had all year up to that point), they climbed out of a 20-6 hole and made it a game.

I'm not nearly as frustrated about this loss as I was about the loss to the Ravens. The Chiefs just outplayed the Chargers today; the Chargers didn't give the game away with terrible playcalling.

In games decided by 4 or fewer points, the Chargers have now lost 13 of the last 15, including the last nine straight. That is an ugly stat.
