Wagner will be in the final year of his 4 year deal with the Mets next year and he'll be 37.Doubtful the Mets wait on him. Best case scenario is the All Star break in '09 - that's too long of a wait IMO.I can see them entering the Krod sweepstakes.
As has already been alluded to, this gives the mets real motivation to go after K-Rod. Considering how many games our pen has cost us this year, the dollars will be thrown about imo.
