Waiver wire and FAAB Discussion (Redraft) - Week #3 (going into week 4) (2 Viewers)

Who are you guys prioritizing, in my position here:

Lost Ceedee. I have Dak, and Trevor Lawrence.

Pretty good elsewhere, but considering some waivers for Geno Smith and Tre Tucker. I do have Brock bowers. I dont NEED Tre Tucker, or Geno actually. But i dont feel confident rolling out Dak Or Trevor Lawernce going forward.

I own the #2 waiver priority. Would you guys take Tre first? and hope to get Geno? or take Geno first (i have Bowers) and hope to get Tre later?

IF i Take Tre, and miss on Geno, I'll probably stick with TLaw or grab Jaxson Dart.

I guess what im asking is, Do you guys think Tre could actually be real? or do i bypass him and get Geno?

I dont want to drop Dak, as i have the ceedee stack.
Is this a super flex league?

If not, I prioritize Tucker. I think, Tre is going to keep performing well. Nothing like Sunday but he may be a 7-8 target guy, as long as the run game struggles and the defense doesn't stop anyone. But, I also believe he is behind Jakobi and Brock in the final analysis so, if the run game kicks in he may become a 4-5 target guy.

If it's SF, and you're set in moving on from your QBs, I might lean Geno. I probably drop Trevor because he has looked so bad and Dak is still a very proven QB with, arguably still with a legitimate WR1 (I am more down on Pickens than most), a very good TE and a good run game with a lead back who can be a factor in the passing game. Ultimately I think the Dallas offense scores more than the Jacksonville offense.

I wanted Kincaid but got outbid, thankfully had a backup bid for Hunter Henry which I got. I love Fannin but can’t start him with confidence yet.

Took a 7% chance on Burden in a 2 keeper league. He’d be like a 10th rounder next year so figured why the heck not.

He probably won’t ever start for me this year unless something drastically changes in Chicago.

Who do you like more ROS, Kincaid or Hunter Henry?
This is hunch-based but I can see Maye leaning on Henry in particular especially after last week whereas we know Allen is already comfortable throwing it all over the place to whoever is open.

...curious why Tyquan Thornton hasn't appeared even as an exploratory add on this week's list.
I think Tyquan is ok for a week fill in. The fear is with Worthy and Rice coming back soon that he will be irrelevant when they return.
True. I guess as a BTJr manager, a bandaid is more attractive than usual.
If it would get BTJ to hold onto the damn ball I'd eat a box of bandaids.
They'd have to be dirty ones.

Give me a dozen TDs and we may be on to something.

Brandon Aiyuk can come off PUP after wk 4. He went for 79/1000 FAAB in our league. I have not heard any updates on when he's expected to play.

Two guys I am adding in my league. I use a spot or two at the end of the roster to gamble short term prospectively.

Roschon Johnson. Swift and Monangi aren't getting it done. Roschon to be active

Kaleb Johnson. Tomlin says Kaleb is in the game plan this week. Other backs not getting done. Johnson is probably chomping on the bit to eclipse the special teams snafu.

I expect at least one to begin their emergence this week.

I haven't followed closely, what do you mean by Warren not getting it done, I see him discussed positively?

No matter if you have WR issues or not, add Luther
Burden has 1, 2, and 3 targets in his 3 games.
Yeah, I don't understand the Luther love. If you apply the same logic to Burden that most people seem to be applying to Tucker (TD's were a fluke, etc.), I wouldn't be spending much on either one, at least in redraft. Dynasty may be a different story (but he's obviously not available in dynasty leagues). But, right now, what is Burden? Maybe the 4th (at best) option in the CHI passing game? In terms of targets, he's tied for 6th on the team (with Loveland), and one ahead of Monangai. Other than a 65-yard TD (on a flea-flicker of all things), he's got 5 catches for 38 yards in three games.

And, I get it... He's got higher pedigree than Tucker, obviously. Again, dynasty.... sure. Best ball? Absolutely, as a last couple of rounds flier. But, in redraft, I don't want to rely on a guy who's averaging 2 targets/week. Right now, I'd rather have Sterling Shepard.

Sermon is for special teams. KJ was actually active last week but did not play a snap.
I get that. Would they have 4 rbs active? I honestly don't know how many they generally keep active
 All I know is Tomlin specifically said the rookie will be involved this week. Since he was so highly touted in the off-season, he's worth picking up just to check what they do with him. Worst case he's your first drop next week.

Well said. I will add that if I am going to park a guy right now who is getting limited/few/zero targets it is Isaac Tesla. Saying it right now... I think dude is better than Jameo. Just a matter of whether or not he ascends later this season or sometime next. I can't say when, but health permitting, it's coming.

Burden is a stash, not someone you’re throwing into your lineup this week. A lot of people, myself included, think he might be the most talented guy in that WR room.

Also, I’d note that rookie breakouts sometimes start early in the season with big plays on low volume. Then, their roles expand. Victor Cruz and AJ Brown come to mind. I’m not saying that will happen with Burden, but he’s talented enough that it may.

Hope you’re right about Burden as I own a couple of shares, but a breakout this year seems to rely on an injury or trade of DJ. I think he’s in the Jamison Williams role from his rookie year. He’s a big play waiting to happen but the volume will be very low.

3.1 yards per carry on the season

Honestly think he’d more effective as third down back

Giving Kaleb Johnson decent pt this week would be a Tomlin kind of thing.

Terrible mistake followed by a game where he saw no touches.
I can see Tomlin building the guy up for a week to get some pt this week

A players coach leading men

Now I hope it works out for both

I'm not sure it's about Tomlin. I think it's Rodgers and his lack of trust in Kaleb Johnson and in rookies in general

Looks like it will happen. Gainwell will get a lot of work, but Kaleb should see a handful of touches. We’re just looking for the door to crack open for later in the season. Plus, we don’t know how severe the Warren injury is.
