Waiver wire defense week 13 (1 Viewer)

1.Panthers matchup this week is against the Seahawks- I got burned playing the Browns against them in week 12. I am thinking maybe pass this week. Seahawks got dismantled against the Chiefs as well

2.Jacksonville against Tenn- Crazy thinking? Hey if the weak Texans defense can keep them to a goose egg maybe not

3.Buffalo against the Vikings- They did respectable against the Steelers but I just cant, next

4. Arizona defense against the Rams- looks like a decent play as is the flip side

Who do you see that might be on a waiver wire in your league that is a decent play?

SEATTLE @ HOME vs CAROLINA

- Carolina has been able to muster 20-plus points only two times this season.

- Carolina must travel all the way across the country for the game.

- Jimmy Clausen only has 1 TD pass and 5 INT and has fumbled the ball 7 times.

- Carolina is averaging 16 PPG on the road.

- Carolina has given up the third most sacks in the NFL.

This one is a no brainer, don't over think it.

I have both TEN and SEA.

TEN has been dropping off, but they have a decent matchup this week vs JAC. Ten did score 19pts in my leage @ Jac last time. But I think the JAC offense has improved much since week 6. Thoughts?

I am going to roll the dice with KC DEF at home against Denver.

KC DEF looked decent enough in Seattle and will control the clock with that running game.

They will make the adjustments that made them look bad in Denver earlier this season.

I snagged the Chargers from the WW going up against Oakland. Even if I'll be playing against myself as a McFadden owner. Just got nothing else available.

San Diego vs Oak or Seattle vs Car?
This is my dilemma too. Have SD, but SEA available. Think I'll stick w/ SD because of how they've shut down the Broncos & Colts the last two weeks. But SEA is a decent play even if they do stink as a defense.

I'd narrowly favor the underrated Rams D here but you'll get an average team on either side of the ledger with above average upside. Bradford is still a rookie throwing to a bunch of nobodies. Derek Anderson guarantees mediocrity.

Above has it all. Seattle is the choice. Setting your lineup for this week based on last week is a sure fire way to lose. Last week was the lowest points for a D vs. CAR all year, won't happen back-to-back, look for a double digit effort from SEA.

CAR is finally running the ball well though.I think CLE against Miami look good to me.
I'm curious why you think this? I was looking to drop the Browns this week after not helping me at all against Carolina at home, but maybe you can convince me otherwise.

colts at home vs DALLAS. not sure i like this match up with felix and tashard potentially running all day

NE at home vs JETS is available on my WW (short benches to many adds/drops) or KC at home vs. DEN or STL @ ARZ.

don't know if pats will be able to contain the NYJ running game. sanchez should be good for a couple of INTs

i like KC at home, but orton could still have a big game

ARZ stinks and anderson stinks more, but not sure i can trust STL here

The Browns have an ability to explode on defense, and Miami isn't exactly going to be able to run like Carolina did. Cleveland actually seems to be forcing turnovers with some regularity, and Chad Henne is a bit interception prone. Ricky and Ronnie are far enough past their primes, what with age and/or injury history, that I think they will have way less success on the ground than the Panthers did.Btw, I still got 7 points out of Cleveland...that's about the average score for a defense. Just look at the Jax and NO games to see what can happen when they force a turnover or two...this defense really feeds on itself. I like the ability to return ints for TDs as well, but that may be a bias of my league's scoring system.

Someone just dropped NO in my league and I think I'm going to try NO vs turnover prone Carson Palmer over TENN vs Buffalo

:goodposting:you should check sanchize's int totals for the year before you chalk him up for 'a few ints'. 5 games he went w/o an int. only twice has he thrown 2 (vs den/gb). HTH

I'm liking the Giants at home against the Deadskins. Their running game is a mess and the receivers aren't scary. Yes, the Giants D was available.

Seriously thinking about picking up and starting STL or SEA def and playing them over PIT who havent been doing much lately.
