I am in a major bind atm. Currently 6-5 facing the 1st team this weekend. I am on the edge of slipping out of a playoff spot.
I have Chase Brown and Adams on a bye so my flex spot is wide open. However my bench besides those two consists:
I want to hold on to the RBs incase Bijan/Breece/Cook get hurt, and Pitts is meh but a backup option at TE. That leaves me Diontae to drop but the WW looks bleak:
- Diontae Johnson (Gonna drop)
- Pitts (Bye week)
- Algeier (Bye week)
- Braelon Allen (Bye week)
- Ray Davis (Bye week)
Thinking Worthy is worth a gamble?
- Worthy
- Watson
- Pierce
- Elijah Moore
- Thielen
- Slayton
- Noah Brown
I like Worthy and Watson on that list. Both are a bit boom or bust, but I'd feel more comfortable starting them over Diontae, who I dropped last week. Having said that, as fantasy goes, Diontae will probably pop off for no specific reason this week.I am in a major bind atm. Currently 6-5 facing the 1st team this weekend. If this is redraft, i would not think twice about dropping Braelon Allen. First, I think he is a terrible football player. Second, I think ARodg is a pass-first QB inside the 5 yard line. One would think this is where Allen's value would be realized. Third, I do not think he is physically capable of catching a football, which also limits his production. I own him in my dynasty league with the sole purpose of trading him if Hall goes down. On the surface he looks like a decent back who would do well with volume. Under the hood, he is really bad. Only Zamir White has a worse average yards expected average than Allen.I am in a major bind atm. Currently 6-5 facing the 1st team this weekend. I am on the edge of slipping out of a playoff spot.

Agree on Allen. He's just not a good football player. I feel sorry for his owners. He had that massive game and his owners have been chasing the dragon ever since. He's a physical specimen but not a good running back. The Jets and ARod are a hot mess and it wouldn't surprise me if they give Jordan Travis a look as the season winds down, provided he's healthy of course. If this is redraft, i would not think twice about dropping Braelon Allen. Ameer Abdullah/Zamir White for those desperate for a 1 week play. Mattison left in the 2nd half with an ankle injury last week.
I also heard White was banged up, but can't find anything on that. I'd probably lean Abdullah for the receiving role against Denver.

If it is strictly for a 1 week bye filler, I would lean more towards Watson or Pierce for this week. Both are boom or bust type plays, but they have good matchups in what should be games where they will need to pass. The KC / Carolina game, I always worry about opposing teams against Carolina getting too far ahead and not needing to pass.
The thing I should have mentioned is my starting WRs are AJ Brown and Jayden Reed. I am nervous of starting two Packer WRs so am leaning Pierce or Worthy atm.I like Worthy and Watson on that list. I'm in a similar boat in that I am doomed by byes this week and all of my plans of who I was going to start have pooed the bed as both Speares and Ferguson got hurt. I need to pickup both a RB and a Flex spot off the wire this week, and likely drop those two guys.
It's a ten teamer so there are a few guys that were dropped last week that could be good fill-ins. My team is fairly deep off the bye, so this is really just a one week rental.
RBs
Javontae Williams
Jerome Ford
Cam Akers
Roschon Johnson
Trey Benson (who I dropped for Ferguson to cover for Lamb in case he couldn't go)
Flex
Jonnu Smith
Dallas Goedert
Michael Pittman
Zach Ertz
Jordan Addison
Xaiver Worthy
Hall is elite, Allen is a very good handcuff. But guess who has a higher PFF grade, by 10+ points?Very interesting. I have always thought of Allen as a high-end handcuff. I would never start him if Breece were around, but if Breece goes down I'd think he would be the bellcow and hasn't been awful when he's gotten snaps.
Maybe I am wrong.

I would. Taysom/McBride will be a tough choice week to week and for me would depend on the quality of my other matchups, but I look at it this way. In one league I have McBride but thinking about dropping Hock for Taysom.
Taysom is just a different level of risk vs reward than anybody else at TE.
The last place team in our league owns Taysom. I don’t have any matchups with him the next three weeks, but it’s sort of comforting he can’t be started against me.I would. Anybody think they might give Dylan Laube a look? It's byeapocolypse this week. Many desperate. Including me.No argument there. More a consideration for someone desperate.Ameer Abdullah/Zamir White for those desperate for a 1 week play. Mattison left in the 2nd half with an ankle injury last week.

Raider running game has been gawd-awful all season long, including last weekend, after a bye and OC switch. FWIW.
I'm waiting on Abdullah. We haven't heard anything really on White or Mattison. Don't want to waste a bid at this point.
For those looking to chase points, Westbrook-Ikhine just continues to get into the endzone.
Dissly a no brainer for the TE needy and honestly, understanding the matchup against BALT and the high O/U Dissly could probably sit in the flex this week.

He has the 3rd highest PPG in games played. He just proved he has the highest ceiling of any other tight end. I still find it a big stupid he's listed at TE, but take advantage. Health is the concern. Depending on league setup I probably would have looked to keep Pitts as insurance, but I can't blame you for the move. You guys are killing me. But then Pitts has been killing me all year except for 1 week. I just ditched Pitts for Hill. Hopefully Hill stays healthy.

The season is over. I assume the Raiders know that. I'm curious if they give the rookie a look.
I say this as someone that started Mattison as RB2 last week and needed to do it again this week. It's not a good spot to be in, but I really care which Raiders RB would get clobbered by the Broncos if Mattison and White can't go.
Not unless Pierce gets fired. Laube fumbled his first and only carry and hasn't had a sniff ever since. Pierce seems very old school. Sad but true! *Said in james hetfield voice.*Thinking of dropping Waddle for Quentin Johnston. Say it ain't so!!!!
Maybe he’ll play the Godwin position in the slot while Evans plays outside? Could be big if the bye gave the hammy time to heal.My call - Jalen McMillan
Should be healed, Evans back, easy schedule, playoff run
I don't know, but I do know that I don't want my opponents holding such a high-ceiling player if he has figured things out. Same thing that was said about Taysom a few post ago.Anthony Richardson was dropped in 2 out of 2 of my 10 team leagues.
Is there no reason to believe he may have figured some things out based on this last performance?
I had the same thought when I kept reading garbage fantasy blurbs about Wright being the clear cut #2 now. I was around last season to see how Mostert is used if he's healthy and Achane is out. If someone drops Mostert, I'm snatching him up quickly.Mostert dropped in a league. I know he got his hip banged up and had like zero touches last week. Everyone's saying J. Wright jumped to #2 but I wonder if that was just a blip.
Better bench stash than T. Spears? I'd have to drop him.I had the same thought when I kept reading garbage fantasy blurbs about Wright being the clear cut #2 now. I dropped Speares for Akers. Wasn’t my top choice but missed on a few guys above him. And with my roster setup and byes it’s really just a dart throw for this week alone at this point.Better bench stash than T. Spears?
