Waiver Wire - Week 1 (24 Viewers)

Who are you looking at that you want to bid on in Redrafts?

I think Harold Fannin Jr in Cleveland should be on your list of potential pick ups
He still will not be thought of highly by many that don't frequent around here

I don't know how many targets he actually had but he hauled in 7 catches, 66 yds, in leagues where TEs get a little more, he definitely should be on your radar.
I also believe he isn't just being lined up next to the RT like a traditional TE, the Browns are looking for mismatches against him
Wish Cleveland has a better QB situation, he's always gonna suffer from the reality of the Browns right now

I like him and when Judkins gets in there and starts rolling, will only help the other skill players except maybe Sampson

Boute had 8 targets, 6 receptions, 103 yards.

I know Diggs played limited snaps, and that will go up. I have no idea how quickly it goes up. I also think we'll see Boutte starting opposite of Diggs all season with Douglas in the slot.

Hollywood Brown saw a ton of targets. It remains to be seen how much time Worthy will miss. Rice has 5 more weeks of suspension.

Calvin Austin: 6 targets, 4 catches, 70 yards. He's locked in as Rodgers #2 WR. He's probably boom/bust, but beggars can't be choosers on the waiver wire.

Romeo Doubs. Led the team in receiving yards. Reed may not get through the season.

Use the search function :P

So people are in leagues where Hollywood Brown is available? Ok then.
Like clock work.

Every year, the week 1 thread gets made. Every year, someone posts the whole "That guy would never be available in one of MY leagues." Cool man. That one doesn't apply to you.

Customary: People play in different size leagues, with different numbers of teams and different numbers of bench/IR spots.

Tonges in your deeper or TEP leagues.

Kittle left early in a competitive game with a hamstring injury. I don't know that he's anything special. But he looked pretty athletic on that TE catch.

I don’t see a true ww gem this week. Hollywood is a decent pickup as long as Worthy is out. Dylan Sampson in any leagues he’s sitting out there.

I'll be putting in a blind bid to try and add Fannin Jr. Lost George Kittle today to a hamstring injury. I have Jake Ferguson as a backup though, but like Fannin Jr.'s usage and potential for a nice season.

Quentin Johnston 5-7 2TD game, but maybe folks discredit him for that? Think its flukey. But its a top offense.
Hes the 3rd wr on the team. Most teams 3rd wr will have fluke big games. Hes not worth a bid imo. Doesnt mean he wont have some solid games but good luck figuring out when.
Could have had 3 TDs. I’m not familiar with how many snaps he played compared to Ladd and Keenan, but he was out there a whole lot. Not sure who’s the real #3 to be sure.

Yeah you're right. I dont think it'll last though but I could be wrong.

Geno Smith in 2 QB leagues or as a backup in bigger leagues. He has some good receiving options. Jeanty should get more than 2 catches for 2 yards going forward.

He underthrew Thornton on what should've been a 61 yard TD - Thornton made a nice catch anyway, showcasing good tracking skills.

Boutte looks the part to me.

He does look the part...it isn't just the stats but how it looks as he looks very smooth...as long as expectations are realistic (I would not go overboard on a bid) I think he is worthy of a roster spot right now...Diggs is still a work in progress, but I think Boutte has a chance to put up the best numbers of this group.
I remember Boutte getting some praise heading into last year. Maybe he’s finally figuring things out. Not sure how much Diggs has left so maybe there’s a big opportunity for Boutte here.

He was pretty immature when he came to the Pats...he had that gambling thing going on last year and I didn't think he was going to be a Patriot for long after that but that got dropped and by all accounts the lightbulb has gone on, he has grown-up and everything said about him this preseason was positive...he just looks like a professional WR out there right now.

Diggs played limited snap count yesterday and still had a pretty good game so seems like he took more looks from Douglas who I thought would be more involved.

ETA: actually Douglas got 7 targets but only 2 catches for 2 yards, and a TD, Diggs got 7 targets and Boutte 8

I thought Diggs was taking the receptions that could have gone to Pop...I am not a big Pop fan...he is not big and I think he plays small...I would rather see what they have in Chism...I do think Diggs was a little limited yesterday so I could definitely see him getting more targets but overall Boutte was easily their best WR yesterday and dating back to last year someone who is in sync with Maye.

He was a first rounder 2 years ago, Keenan is old and not durable. If Keenan gets hurt, he becomes a strong WR2 imo.

I don’t see a true ww gem this week. Hollywood is a decent pickup as long as Worthy is out. Dylan Sampson in any leagues he’s sitting out there.
I'd toss out Judkins, too, if he is available (probably owned in most but he's available in a couple of mine with shorter benches).

Ford doesn't look like he can handle being lead back.

Sampson looked great receiving, but how much work will go away as Judkins returns?
I think he’ll be the RB2 for Cleveland and be the pass catching back. Looks to have stand alone value even when Judkins plays. Ford isn’t worth rostering now IMO.

Penix or Fields. Leaning Fields because of his legs. Penix looked in complete control though and would be a fine add. Short bench league.

Watched the highlights just now.

Every catch was in front of the defense. That always gives me more optimism. It's not like the defense lost track of him and he broke a 50 yard play. He was working his way open all game long.

As a Kittle owner, I'm definitely putting Fannin on my radar.

Any CLE homers know what's up here? Was the lack of Njuko production just fluky?
