Waiver Wire Week 6 QB's, Rank them in order (1 Viewer)

I figured a lot of guys have a QB on bye this week (Kitna, Manning, Roethlisberger, Cutler) so I figured a thread talking about which QB's on the waiver wire were going to perform best in week 6 would be very helpful.

Here is the list of FA's in my league, feel free to add someone you'd like to talk about:

My order:

Kurt Warner vs. Car.

Brian Griese vs. Min.

Steve McNair vs. Stl.

Brodie Croyle vs. Cin. (starter this week?)

Gus Frerotte vs. Bal. (starter this week?)

Cleo Lemmon vs. Cle.

David Carr vs. Ari.

Tavaris Jackson vs. Chi.

If everyone could share some inside info on any of these QB's whether they're starting this week or their roles going forward the rest of the season and their predictions as to who will play best in week 6.

I'm sure a lot of people will be looking to pick up a QB this week so lets try to make this thread as detailed and helpful as possible.

Here's how I rank them...

Kurt Warner vs. Car. - With Leinert on IR and improved play by the offensive line and defense, I think Warner is by far the best choice out of all these QBs.

Gus Frerotte vs. Bal. (starter this week?) - The Rams will be passing the ball a lot, due to a bad defense, a banged up O-line, and questionable running game (though Leonard's stats from last week weren't too shabby). I see a decent amount of TDs, and a decent amount of turnovers as well. If your league doesn't penalize for interceptions and fumbles, Frerotte is a decent option.

Brian Griese vs. Min. - So far, he's filled the role the Bear's needed him to - a vetran QB who can manage the game and keep the offense on the field long enough to give the defense a breather. He's not going to light the world on fire, the running game is poor, and the WRs are not playing well right now, but he does have experience and has had some success as an NFL starter. I see fewer TDs and fewer turnovers than Frerotte. He probably won't win you a game by himself, but he can be expected to score you SOME points.

Steve McNair vs. Stl.

Brodie Croyle vs. Cin. (starter this week?)

Cleo Lemmon vs. Cle.

David Carr vs. Ari.

Tavaris Jackson vs. Chi.

The rest of these QBs are questionable for a variety of reasons. If I had to pick one of them to start this week, I'd take McNair or Croyle, mainly based on their opponents.

Where does Joey Harrington rank up there with those guys?

I picked up Joey, but I am considering going Huard vs. Cinci secondary or Lemon vs. Cleveland secondary

For what it's worth, Rotoworld says Damon Huard is starting this week not Brodie Croyle:

The Chiefs confirmed Wednesday that Damon Huard will start in Week 6 against the Bengals."Right now, unless he has a setback, he's going to play," said coach Herm Edwards. "And that's good for us." The Brodie Croyle era will have to wait at least another week. Huard has a great matchup versus Cincinnati.

heheheheactually, he was dropped for Frerotte last week by the Romo owner... pretty savvy move if you ask me.

There are several viable QBs on our WW that can make decent bye week fillers:

Culpepper - He had the TDs but is he 100%? Will he remain the starter?

Griese - Unspectacular but steady and solid

Jason Campbell - I think people are scared of his lack of experience and mediocre fantasy numbers.

McNair - Decent bye week filler but nothing spectacular

everyone else that may be available is mediocre...

I bought the hype for Warner. I need a QB due to the bye week. I had several choices and went with Warner. I like his supporting cast. Hopefully it will work out.

Not necessarily. I think I play in a pretty competitive league and a guy dropped Garrard yesterday for a bye week replacement. He already has Romo and Rothlisberger so I guess he couldnt carry 3 QBs anymore. I put in a bid for him because I have Kitna on bye and like Garrard better then Garcia this week
