I think he is playing. Mike Herman, FBG resident kicker expert, has him on projections.is gotkowski out this week

Since you get return points, I would go with Breaston. He will be the wr3 for a high scoring offense. Plus, Breaston is the returner for both punts and kicks.I need to choose one of these WR's as my third WR, its not much to choose from but if you could please help to try and find the best option this week I would appreciate it.Standard scoring: 6pts/TD, .1pt per yard, we also give points for return yards and TD's on special teams.Aundrae Allison WR VikingsEarl Bennett WR BearsSteve Breaston WR CardinalsRashied Davis WR BearsEarly Doucet WR CardinalsJohnnie Lee Higgins WR RaidersJason Hill WR 49ersDwayne Jarrett WR PanthersJosh Morgan WR 49ersLaurent Robinson WR FalconsJerome Simpson WR BengalsBobby Wade WR VikingsNate Washington WR SteelersTroy Williamson WR JaguarsOr I could choose a second TE instead if one of them look better then one of the WR's.John Carlson TE SeahawksGreg Olsen TE BearsI just need 1 of the above not great options but they are all I have at the moment, TIA.
Parker will start the season strong while the other two RBs will probably finish stronger. Parker could have a few strong games. I like Kevin Walter in PPR leagues. The other two will be tough to start any given week. But, if something happens to Andre Johnson, Walter might be a top 20 wr in ppr. He looks good. The other two will be streaky.PPR LEAGUE
Who is worth adding? I want to add 1 RB & 1 WR
RB
Ray Rice (Reading a lot about this kid)
Jamal Lewis (Leaning towards Jam)
Willie Parker (Worried about Mendenhall steals)
WR
Kevin Walter
DeSean Jackson
Eddie Royal

I like your team a lot. Thank you for the kind words. I, too, worry about Grant this week since he has not played/practiced at full strength since it was still cold outside. With Gates, I do not have a good feel so I would be afraid to say anything. But, this early in the season, I would try to start healthy players over ones that might not play. I say that because this early on, there is little info out there. Preseason was not good at helping matters since the teams are so secretive. The one move I might consider (not for this week) might be to drop Bryant Johnson for Perry. I go by the old saying that you can never have too much RB depth and WRs can be had off the waiver wire. Walter is underrated and you have Berrian as WR4. You can always pick up another WR when needed.Good luck.Heya Jeff,;0 Good to see you again this year, here is the team...I think I did okQB:RomoO'SullivanRB:Lynch GrantChris JohnsonTaylorFelix JonesWR:HolmesCalvin JohnsonKevin WalterBerrianBryant JohnsonTE:GatesLeeK:BironasDEF:MinnySo I have a couple questions about this week. Gates has admitted his toe may be problematic and he isn't going to start, but he is such a stud...Do I start Lee ahead of him this week? Another question about GB....going up against Minny's D who is tough on the run. I am thinking of benching Grant for Chris Johnson....Perry is on the wire also, but my depth at RB is pretty solid. So the starters this week look like this:QB: RomoRB: Lynch, JohnsonWR: Holmes, C. Johnson (Det), WalterTE: GatesSo what is your gut feeling? I know it's the beginning of the season and it's hard to tell how the teams are gonna do, but you're pretty good
Thanks in advance!!
I would roll with Warner. I think he is the safer play. This is a close one and I could see using Anderson if you think it will be a shootout. Start Chad vs a beat up Raven defense.Anderson v Dallas or Warner @ SF?
Is Chad Ocho Cinco a solid start?
Would you go with Reggie Bush or Thomas Jones at the Flex spot in a PPR league?
I hate to ask a kicker question but here I go anyway...Phil Dawson is questionable should I drop him for Scobee to play it safe
Thanks Jeff
I apologize I did not get to this in time to do you any good. I am not around on Sunday mornings. Losing Brady could not be good. Check back next week. Since it is non-PPR, I would drop Deuce and Davis for Pierre and Ward. It is curious why the Saitns gave Deuce no carries even though he was active. The game was against a divisional opponent and they needed a win. Getting Cassel prob will not help you much. Daniels will be fine I think. The Texans were overmatched and prob deserve a mulligan.WAIVER WIRE WEEK 1
Hi Jeff, I have B.Jacobs as my #2. I have Ricky Wiliams, Chester taylor and Deuce for flex. Do you think I should go after D. Ward right away or would my waiver wire be spent better elsewhere? Pierre Thomas is available. I was thinking of dropping Deuce for him but 1 week might be premature for that decision.
my roster;
Garrard Schaub

My plan is to drop Davis for Ward or if he is gone a TE( Z.Miller, Fasano, Rosario, M.Lewis). Should I target Cassel?
I think I would only want to drop Davis and maybe McAllister.

I would keep LJ Smith. McNabb looked to him often. Fasano is > than Rasario, imo. The Chargers were not ready for him, but others will be ... plus Smith comes back in a week. Now Heap vs Fasano is a gamble, but the big guy in Miami looked good. Now, he offers llitte big-play ability, but catches the ball well. I do think Heap will have a tough year as the Ravens go with Flacco. But, ti is hard to say to drop Heap since you picked him relatively high. Expect Smith and Fasano to be in the TE10-15 range and Heap to be a huge wildcard. One sleeper TE is Dave Thomas in NE if Watson misses much time.Jeff thank for doing this agian this yearIn my yahoo league my TE areTodd Heap got me -2 this weekL J SmithI saw on WW Dante RosarioAnthony FasanoIs any of these an Up grade if so who should i drop
I do not like it. Yes, Welker will suffer some. But, we should give it a week before packing it in on Welker. Also, Jackson played against the horrible Rams PLUS had both Reggie Brown and Kevin Curtis out with injury. One more I have Wes WelkerAnthony GonzalezCalvin JohnsonBrandon MarshallAnd i saw DeSean Jackson on WW is he upgrade over Wes Walker

you have a good team so don't sweat the one week. I would definitely try to pick up Crayton. The others are not as reliable. Hey JeffI have a big problem on my hands early in the season. My starting WR is out for the year (Burleson) and I need some advice on who to possibly pick up. Hello Jeff,
I have a couple questions(0.5 points/Reception, 8-Keeper League):
Should I make a move to replace Alge Crumpler? Todd Heap is my other TE. I don't feel that I can count on either of these TEs at the moment. Heap apparently suffered another injury, but I think Crumpler's situation is even more worrisome. Normally I wouldn't worry about a TE having a bad week, but I do worry that he's going to continue to lose targets to Bo Scaife. The best TEs on waivers are:
Dante Rosario
Anthony Fasano
Randy McMichael
Zach Miller
Fasano is my first choice, but my friend mentioned that he was picking him up as a #2 TE and he has waiver priority. Rosario strikes me as a one hit wonder. McMichael and Miller both have weak competition for targets and seem like safe pickups and both are likely to slip through the wire into free agency if I put in a claim for Rosario. I could also look at working a trade: Tony Gonzalez is a reasonable target because his owner has Kellen Winslow and is using Gonzalez in his WR/TE slot. I'm not sure what I am willing to pay for a 1 year rental, though. I would want all but Rosario. ZMiller would be great on any other team. Fasano has Top 10 written all over him and would be my first choice as well. McMichael will have a good season, but will be as unpredictable as the Ram offense. I would order them: Fasano, ZMiller, McMike, Rosario.
2: In the pre-season, I tried to trade for Chris Johnson and his owner asked for DeAngelo Williams+My First in 2009(very likely 1.07-1.10 range). I turned this down and made plans to try again later, but it looks like Chris Johnson is going to be the man in Tennessee and I am mulling over a play for him before it is too late. What is the most you'd pay for Johnson? That is a lot. If you are going for it, which I would never argue with, I would start by asking for a DWill/1st for CJ/2nd deal and see if he bites. If not, do the deal if you like Johnson. He sure looked the part this weekend.
3: What are your thoughts on Ted Ginn Jr.'s prospects this year? I can get him for close to nothing. He'd replace Bryant Johnson as my #6 WR. I am avoiding him like the plague. Ginn was yanked from the game Sunday for running the wrong routes. I would prefer Johnson, and I am not a fan of his.
Thanks Jeff for the reply. Like you mentioned seeing that I have only 12 drops would you wait on Taylor to see how he plays and seeing that they are talking about looking for a veteran WR (Horn/Robinson) or would you gamble and jump on him now? What do you think of Greg Lewis (Phi)? Also in terms of week#2 who would you recommend starting:1. Bowe (KC) at NE2. Burleson (Sea) at Buff3. Driver (GB) vs Minny4. Walter (HOU) at Pitt5. Patten (NO) vs TB6. McCareins (Ten) vs Jac.Second out of the above 6 WR's would you drop any of them for any of the following 12 WR's that are available on waver:1. Laurent Robinson (Atl)2. Demetrius Williams (Bal)3. Nate Washington (Pit)4. Andre Davis (Hou)5. Dennis Northcutt (Jac)6. Bobby Wade (Minn)7. Mike Furrey (Det)8. Devard Darling (KC)9. Derek Hagan (Mia)10. Donnie Avery (Stl)11. Hank Baskett (Phi)12. Courtney Taylor (Seat)Thanks ....
I do not like Greg Lewis. he, Devery Henderson and others will tease you with a big play every few weeks. He will be obsolete when the other WRs come back from injury. I would wait on Taylor just because the odds are that you will not start him anyway. Might as well wait for someone that would impact your starters. Thanks Jeff for the reply. Like you mentioned seeing that I have only 12 drops would you wait on Taylor to see how he plays and seeing that they are talking about looking for a veteran WR (Horn/Robinson) or would you gamble and jump on him now?Jeff Tefertiller said:I understand. I was just thinking of your limited waiver moves and making them count. Courtney Taylor is the Seattle WR to have ....Hey JeffBryant was drafted and therefore not available. What do you think of Greg Lewis (PHI)? Any Seatle WR's look good to you? I guess what I am saying is that I am desperate. No use keeping Burleson on my roster. Of the above who would you suggest? Thanks .....that is a tough one. I like Walter for your wr3, but really do not like any of those choices very much. All are on bad passing teams. Who is available from San Francisco? How about Antonio Bryant, TB?Hey JeffI have a big problem on my hands early in the season. My starting WR is out for the year (Burleson) and I need some advice on who to possibly pick up. My WR's that are left on my roster are: Bowe, Driver, Walter, Patten and McCareins. Who do you think I should drop Burleson for? We are not allowed to trade in this league. Available on waivers are:Since you are only allowed 12 drops for the season, might as well wait. Upgrading McCareins to Taylor will not matter to your lineup until week 5. Might as well wait for a player that could start for you. I like Walter over Taylor. Plus, Branch will be back by then. Not a fan of Hagan and the 'Fin passing game. My issue is that I really do not see a scenario where you can start Hagan (or even Ginn) with confidence in a given week. Thanks for the reply Jeff. What do you think about Hagan (Mia)?drop mccareins for c taylor ... demetrius and robinson are intriguing but both are wr3 for their teams with rookie qbs. not good situation. 1. Bowe (KC) at NEHi Jeff
Can you please help me out with a couple of questions.
First what 3 WR would you start out of the following 6 on my team in week #1:
1. Bowe (KC) at NE
2. Burleson (Sea) at Buff
3. Driver (GB) vs Minny
4. Walter (HOU) at Pitt
5. Patten (NO) vs TB
6. McCareins (Ten) vs Jac.
Second out of the above 6 WR's would you drop any of them for any of the following 12 WR's that are available on waver:
1. Laurent Robinson (Atl)
2. Demetrius Williams (Bal)
3. Nate Washington (Pit)
4. Andre Davis (Hou)
5. Dennis Northcutt (Jac)
6. Bobby Wade (Minn)
7. Mike Furrey (Det)
8. Devard Darling (KC)
9. Derek Hagan (Mia)
10. Donnie Avery (Stl)
11. Hank Baskett (Phi)
12. Courtney Taylor (Seat)
Thanks ....
2. Burleson (Sea) at Buff
3. Driver (GB) vs Minny
I think I would go with these three. The only other one to consider would be Walter for Bowe give Croyle under center. But, I expect the Chiefs to be down early and throwing often. If benching bowe, Walter would be the choice.
I agree with your Taylor pick but my only concern is that he will then be on the same bye week as Burleson and I already have 2 guys with the same bye week. Would you wait till after week 1 to drop McCairns seeing we are only allowed 12 drops in this league or would you act now.
Thanks again...

What do you think of Greg Lewis (Phi)?
Also in terms of week#2 who would you recommend starting:
1. Lynch at Jax
2. Grant at Det
3. Jones vs NE
1. Walter vs Bal
2. Patten at Was
3. McCarains at Cin
4. Taylor if picked up vs San Fran

Easy one first:Hall is the only one the RBs who could be a fantasy starter. The other two are bit players who will tease.WRs:Walter is a good guy to have on the roster in case AJ is injured. Walter has been consistent. I like Roayl, too. He played very well last night. I am unsure of his role when Marshall comes back, but is a great player to hold and have on bench. ARE, I like ok, but the other two are better fantasy options most weeks. They play on better passing offenses. Also, ARE will be impacted this week with kelly coming back. As the rookies get up to speed, his role will diminish.QBs:I think Schaub will be fine. Pitt was very good. garrard looks to be a HUGE ? going forward. Pennington will struggle many games because he has no decent WRs. Check how few of his passes went to WRs. Most went to TE and RB. Kitna might surprise people because the defense is SO bad. Cassel will have the benefit of Moss and the receivers, but he will not put up Brady numbers. Look for him to produce around Favre-type numbers.I know it is risky, but I could see dropping Garrard for Cassel. Garrard losing his guards will really hurt him.hey jeff, I have concerns about garrard in redraft league......my other qb is schaub. what about these guys: Cassel, Kitna,Pennington.Wr's ....Walter,Royal,ARE,......who you like best.Rb's Slaton , pittman, Hall ....just a back up guy.
Thanks Jeff. Just to clarify...You would go with:TE Fasano at Arizona this week over Owen Daniels vs Balt?I do not like Greg Lewis. he, Devery Henderson and others will tease you with a big play every few weeks. I think I would go with Grant (as long as no injuries from last night) and Lynch. Grant gets a great matchup and Lynch should be decent. NE will button down the defense without Brady.
1. Walter vs Bal
2. Patten at Was
3. McCarains at Cin
4. Taylor if picked up vs San Fran
With Collins starting, McCareins is a sleeper this week. He might have a huge game. If not, then drop him.
1. Daniels vs Bal
2. Fasano at Arizona
I think I would go with Fasano. He played well this past week and could do so again. Heap is nicked up so who knows with him.
keep minny def. they will be good. plus, the vikes play some bad teams coming up. I would stay put at TE for now.I am mulling over dropping someone for a back up defense. Here is the roster:
Romo Ryan
Grant, Lynch, Johnson(Ten), Perry, Taylor, Jones
Holmes, Johnson (Det), Walter, Baskett
Gates, Lee
Bironas
Minnesota
Here is the top of the WW:Arizona, Houston, Buffalo, Jets, Cincinnati, Detroit, KC
Would you drop someone for WW options? Or try to trade a RB for a better def? Which ones would you target? Min was pretty disappointing against GB...I thought they were top ranked haha! Is GB that good??
Also, Lee for Fasano? I was pleased with the targets Lee got, I think he will be a large part of Rogers passing game. GB looks a lot better than Miami too. And unless something happens to Gates my backup TE will only start on his bye week.
Thanks Jeff. Re: Fasano vs Daniels did you say to go with Fasano? Also what are your thoughts on Matt Jones Wr from Jax? He is available on waivers.no problem. At WR3, this one is tricky, but I think I still like Walter. Patten or McCareins could have a decent game, but Walter seems to always get his. If you do not like that option, Patten does get a good matchup against the skins. Good luck
Fasano .... just to see while Daniels has a rough matchupI am avoiding Jones and other Jags as much as possible until I see a sign of life. This looks like a team that will struggle to put up points. Thanks Jeff. Re: Fasano vs Daniels did you say to go with Fasano? Also what are your thoughts on Matt Jones Wr from Jax? I do not think you can bench Romo no matter what as long as he is healthyHey JeffWho do you like at QB this week: Romo vs Philly or Warner vs Miami?
