So it looks like the BAL-HOU game is being postponed to Nov. 9. I need to quickly pick up a DEF/ST off waivers to replace Baltimore and a TE to replace Owen Daniels.It looks like these are the best options for D/ST. Which would you go for? (6pt DEF/ST TDs, 2pt FR, 2pt INT, 2pt Safeties, and points for opponent score, starting from 10pt for Shutout, and about 3 points less for every 7 points the opponent scores)BUF (@JAC): Buffalo was great last week and Jacksonville looked terrible and its O-line is torn upJAC (vs. BUF): traditionally, I'd expect this to be the better end of the bargainTB (vs. ATL): assuming Week 1 was a fluke for ATLARI (vs. MIA): Arizona had 18 points in our league last week against woeful SF, MIA probably not much betterAlso lost Owen Daniels for the game. it is a hassle for many. I think for the defenses you would be best with AZ or TB. Both should do well. I would probably lean toward AZ and MIA is not any better of a defense. I think I would drop Garrard and keep Daniels. You can dump the backup TE after this week since it will serve as Houston's bye week. The TE I like this year is LJ Smith, especially while the Eagle WRs are all hurt. Good luck.

Dunn or Matt Jones ... Curry played poorly last week. Coles seems hurt. Matt Jones had 10 targets last week and Tampa coach Gruden said he will give more work to Graham, not Dunn .... so I will go with Matt Jones. Best guess.

Do you like any of those over Palmer and/or Chad? The lineups are flexible, so I can basically sub in any of them.

I think the Bengals carry too much risk. Griese is safer and Atlanta is not good on defense. At WR, Chad vs Royal would be my only choices. The WRs are close so I would choose the Royal. Chad will have a tough time against Tenn while Denver might be in a shootout with SD.

I have dropped Vince Young for Collins for $1. I have activated Chris Johnson from my rookie squad for $10/year. Anyways, the Warner($) owner also has Rivers($4) and Palmer for $16. He is in bad need of a RB and has offered me a descent offer. He will send one of his QB's and L. Maroney($31) for my Chris Johnson. My QB is really killing me and is the reason I have lost the past two weeks. I am not particularly interested in Maroney for that price and the injury concerns me. I don't have a whole lot of depth at RB so giving up Chris Johnson is hard to do. The guy said he might offer Jamal Charles instead of Maroney.

So, should I hold off for another week and see how Garrard does, he should have Porter next week which will help. I think I like Warner the most but its hard to give up Chris Johnson. What do you think? Thanks

2 teams that could use a QB, one has Palmer/Young and the other is Bulger/T. Jackson.

That is iffy on Hass. At this point, I would wait it out with Garrard. In the next six weeks, better QB options should be available.

I would definitely pick up Sproles with the return points. Would be a good spot starter if nothing else. Maybe I am believing the Eli play will last, but that seems like an expensive deal for Cutler. I would pass. The weather will get colder in Denver. Things will change. On Bruce, he would probably never start for you so no need picking him up. I like Sproles, though, especially if LT misses games.

Sorry about suggesting LJ over your beloved Reggie Bush. I would drop Penny for JTO. The 49ers might put some big passing games together. I, too, think Delhomme will be fine with Smith back.Dropping LJ for Sproles sounds extreme. I think I would consider it, but check the bye weeks first. Sproles has played very well this preseason and first two games.

I think I would keep Johnson and offer jamal Lewis for Warner and the best RB you can get him to add. Johnson is a cheap keeper. Get rid of the older RB you cannot keep.

I could use a #2 RB not sure if Graham or Cadillac will be able to carry that spot and Bradshaw may never get the chance, but a #2RB will take more than AZ QB's.AD, Graham, Cadillac, Bradshaw, KJ, B. Jackson, and RiceI'm pretty good at WR but could always use another quality player as we can start 3 or 4. At TE I have Winslow and Daniels, once the Texans schedule gets easier I can use Daniels as a #4 WR.AJ, Cotchery, Driver, Gage, and some young prospects.Palmer- would be good to pull offMcGahee- what do you think of him going forward? I would think the Card QBs could bring a WR20-type player. I think I would try for Chambers (might be tough after this past week). I think getting palmer would not be bad for longterm if you could pull it off.There are only a few ways to go:Sell with a player to upgrade a position - easiest to doSell for player at same position (Palmer) - more difficult because of where draftedor, sell for younger prospects and upside.I personally like the top option since both teams look at it as a win/win.What position do you need upgraded?

I could use a #2 RB not sure if Graham or Cadillac will be able to carry that spot and Bradshaw may never get the chance, but a #2RB will take more than AZ QB's.AD, Graham, Cadillac, Bradshaw, KJ, B. I think I like giving Graham and the Card QBs for Willis and a throw in QB.I like getting Mendenhall if you can keep longterm. His time will come. Just may be late this year, or next. I also like the idea of moving a prospect and the AZ QBs for Chad. Chad may not help until 2009, but neither will the prospects. This way you get a top WR for 09.

I would definitely pick up Sproles with the return points. Would be a good spot starter if nothing else. Maybe I am believing the Eli play will last, but that seems like an expensive deal for Cutler. I would pass. The weather will get colder in Denver. Things will change. On Bruce, he would probably never start for you so no need picking him up. I like Sproles, though, especially if LT misses games.

Congrats on the 2-0 start. I like Cutler, but Eli is having a good start, too. I also think Cotch will see more looks as Favre attempts more passes. So far, they have been conservative with Favre. If you are looking at this deal, I would target which WR you want him to add to make it a 2-2 deal. I think I would target mason. Galloway may be out for a couple of weeks so you may need a decent wr.

I have dropped Vince Young for Collins for $1. I have activated Chris Johnson from my rookie squad for $10/year. Anyways, the Warner($) owner also has Rivers($4) and Palmer for $16. He is in bad need of a RB and has offered me a descent offer. He will send one of his QB's and L. Maroney($31) for my Chris Johnson. My QB is really killing me and is the reason I have lost the past two weeks. I am not particularly interested in Maroney for that price and the injury concerns me. I don't have a whole lot of depth at RB so giving up Chris Johnson is hard to do. The guy said he might offer Jamal Charles instead of Maroney.

So, should I hold off for another week and see how Garrard does, he should have Porter next week which will help. I think I like Warner the most but its hard to give up Chris Johnson. What do you think? Thanks

I won't be keeping Moss anyways and I think Housh will rebound. Although, part of me wants to stay away from anyone in Cinci. I may have to throw in one of my #4 WR to make the deal happen. However, my 3rd and final WR is always coming down to Roy Williams or Chad Johnson or Lav. Coles or Desean Jackson -- I have a deep team.

So I'm trying to consolidate a little.

Trying to get Steve Smith. Guy wants Roy AND Chad. Is this a rip? I think it makes my team better, but I don't think this is valued correctly.

I asked him about Roy AND Carson Palmer. Haven't heard back. What do you think of this strictly value-wise in a PPR league?

Rodgers will play well. The only issue is health. That guy got dinged in his only meaningful appearance of 2007 (Dallas after Favre injury). I think I like it for you, but it is risky. To be honest, you giving Moss should be enough without adding anyone. If he wants more, offer Mason (rookie QB). Brown and Rice are cheap keeper.I like it for you as long as Rodgers stays healthy. One other QB to target is Schaub, imo. He has had his bye now and the only backup you would need is Sage (from the waiver wire).

I do not like giving Roy and Chad for Smith .. and I am a Roy hater. For that price, you could prob pick any WR you want. As long as you are deep at QB, I would do the Roy/Palmer deal. You can always sell a WR for a QB if need be.

I would drop Morris and Muhsin for Sproles and Pierre. When you can start three RBs, might as well take that chance. None of the FA WRs are too attractive. welcome to Footballguys. In this thread, we talk about anything football related. Now, on to Addai. I personally am afraid of him, but some love him. I am prejudiced against Addai so take it as such. I would move Addai (who some would love as a keeper) plus Burleson for a RB and WR3-type receiver.Who would I target? The better RB you ask for, the worse WR you can get back. So, with that in mind, here are the RBs I would want in order to give such a highly ranked Addai:GoreReggie BushLynchGrantChris JohnsonPortisI like these three more than most:JacobsMcFaddenJ StewartAt WR, I would look for a youngster like Royal or DeSean Jackson. If those are too expensive, maybe a veteran like Engram or Branch that will soon be coming off an injury. These are the ones I would ask for on the low side. In the high side, I might target Welker and Cotchery who seem to be underrated in PPR leagues.If you can pull of Chris Johnson and Royal, Desean, Welker, or Cotchery, I would love it for you. I do not like any of the seattle wrs since next week is bye and branch, engram will be back week five. I would start Grant if he is healthy. I expect SD to play great this week and stop Jones' running. The WR3 is a tough one. I think I would go with Walter. Hou will want a win. Patten and the Saints pass game is best at home in dome.

I have LT in one of my leagues and I am feeling a strong desire to grab up Sproles.

On this team I have:

LT-Reggie-MBIII-TJones

I don't want to drop one of my RB's so here are my WR's:



Wayne-DJackson-ERoyal-SHolmes-OchoCinco-Crayton-Meachem

I need to drop one or maybe 2 of the guys above to grab Sproles and believe it or not Jonathan Stewart is also available.

I am leaning towards saying goodbye to Crayton for sure then it gets gray.....

OchoCinco hasn't shown up b/c Palmer hasn't but seriously can you ever consider dropping Chad---NO

Meachem looked sweet and Colston has at least 3-4 weeks to go

I would drop Meachem and Crayton for the two RBs. I love Stewart for the end of the season and Sproles has great upside.

I forgot to ask your opinion on Derek Anderson. He has nothing but tough match-ups ahead and something isn't right with Cleveland.

I have Warner and he has been my starter. These are the guys on the wire. Just wanted to know if you like any of them and think I should drop Anderson to scoop them up.
