Neither are great option, but I think I would go with New Orleans. They have been hot of late.
Brown is the easy one. For the second, I think i would lean toward Grant. HOU has really shut down RBs of late, including Gore last week and Grant is a threat in passing game.
Hey Sean, I think I would lean toward Lynch but I agree on the HOU run defense. I know he will get carries, and we do not know anything on Felix. I would go with the guy who will get carries and Lynch has emerged as the primary back and getting the majority of the load. Good luck. Jeff
I think i would take Jacobs nad not look back. I say that because I have soured on McFadden just because of the Oakland offense and how long it might be before the team turns it around. Jacobs has not looked good this season, but looks much better than McFadden.

I would go with who you have. Collie is a good play with Wayne gimpy. Cotchery is not 100% heathy, Mason has a tough matchup, and I do not love either RB this week. I know Grant looks to have a tough matchup, but at least he should see consistent touches.

I picked up the NO defense and have a great slew of matchups in the coming weeks. However, this week they get the ATL, while I still haven't dropped the CHI defense which has CLE at home (and not much else going for it). Which is the better play?
Scoring is pretty standard (6/defensive or ST TD, 10/shut out and down from there, 2/sack, INT, recovered fumble).

I think I would go with Chicago. Anderson throws picks. Atlanta and Ryan do not allow sacks nor turn the ball over much. I expect the Bears to assert themselves this week. They need a big win for confidence.
Hi jeff, man this is just not my year. If I win out, I may have a shot at the playoffs. I traded away Ray Rice last week for Andre Johnson, that hurt, I benched Antonio Bryant for Johnson and lost by 2, I would have won

I think it hurts you since you are losing three every-week starters and getting two ...and not really getting better players. I have had seasons like yours where it is frustrating. I fell your pain. I like that deal because I think Marshall has a strong second half of the season. I would pick up Fred Davis after this week for the next few weeks at TE

I need to make a move because Daniels could be out for the year.
For a dynasty league, is a trade where I give a late first rd rookie pick for 2010 and Eddie Royal for Chris Wells and Winslow just right or will I have to offer a lot more? Or should I just trade Daniels for Z Miller - yes, that was offered to me after the injury.

The late first and Royal deal is probably fair. You might see how cheaply you can trade for Heath Miller, Celek, or Vernon Davis ... all who are playing at a higher level than their "value"Unwrittenlaw said:

should i hold on to shonn greene or drop him for tim hightower who just became available on the waiver wire?
greene has more longterm upside but hightower could help my team right away in case of injury. i play in a 12 team re-draft league...no dynasty here.

I like Hightower because he gets receptions each week and can help with the Slaton uncertainty

I need another “sanity check”!
An owner is 2-6, and on the outside looking in at this point. I’m 5-3, with nothing certain, but feel like a gamble could pay off.
For week 9, he has 2 of his 3 RBs on bye. I have bye problems then too, but for the chance to upgrade, I wonder about a short term loss, in that I’d probably lose week 9 for sure.
My thinking is that he needs to win now…and may be willing to sacrifice longer term value for the chance to stay in the playoff hunt.
I’m thinking about offering Addai, Roddy White, and Braylon Edwards for Steven Jackson, Calvin, and DeSean.
His SJax is on bye week 9, and Addai would give him a 2nd pretty good RB.
Calvin has been injured, so both he and DeSean are probably each individually < Roddy right now, but combined they are certainly better, I think. He also gets Braylon (wk 9 bye too) in the deal, who has been playing a bit better for the NYJ.
This week he’d have Grant and Addai, along with Anquan, Roddy, and Northcutt/Crayton as his starters…
My team wouldn’t be much this week, but it seems like the gamble could pay off downstream.
What do you think?
As a follow-up, what if he counter-offered Ronnie Brown instead of Addai? I’m thinking that would be ok too, but I think I’d prefer to trade Addai rather than Brown. Agree?

There are basically 3 teams that are completely loaded right now, which has lead me to consider moving Calvin since I'm not sure he will be producing well again this year with that knee.

I would love it for you w/ giving Addai ... not Brown. I would keep him.
That is a square deal in non-PPR. I would do it since Rice is hot and could help you. You also may see what you would have to add to get his pick as thrown in on the primary deal.
Keep AZ. I like NYJ/SF/CIN .... check the schedule of AZ and look for bad matchups. I would think SF/CIN have some great matchups on the shedule, just look to see how they match up.

I would say Garrard most weeks. I would definitely look to add Moats and drop a fringe player just for added security

Hey jeff i've switched to this site in desperation because other sites haven't answered my questions all year and it seems pointless to stick with them. i'm coming to you in hope that you can really bail me out of a .500 season. Trying to 4 peat in my league.
Ok, so im a 4-4 owner in a 10 team ppr league. I've won this league 3 years running but this year im full of underachievers. Qb's are very valuable in my league as the average qb will score from 40-50 pts while the rest of the positions score 20-35. the qb's get points per completion and 5 per td. including the 1 per 10 yard standard. Running backs will score on average 20-25 but the great running backs will score 30+ (i.e chris johnson got 47 on his recent game, mjd gets 33+ on his breakouts) and wide receivers are sort of in the same boat as the rbs (wes welker gets 35+ on his 10 catches and 150 yard games reggie wayne gets 35 plus) i know the scoring is strange but its high scoring and the only mess up is how over valued the qb's are but we can't change that 8 games into the season now can we? ANYWAYS
The league is Start 2 qb, 2 rb, 1 rb/wr 2 wr's 1 te a few idps and the rosters are very deep considering its a 10 team league

Right now i'm in a bind at qb. Trust me when i say there is no one in the free agency pool (not even Jamarcus russell) and the trade deadline is Tomorow at 12. I absolutly refuse to give away my top 3 wrs and chris johnson. what is steve slaton worth in a trade?
Who do you like better for the rest of the season Pierre Thomas or Steve slaton? Brent celek or Greg Olsen?
right now i'm in trade talks with another 4-4 team for eli manning for a package but don't know what, the 7-1 team for donovan mcnabb but he's asking for way too much (fitzgerald or welker etc) and i don't want to strengthen the 1st place team, and a 6-2 team for matt hasslebeck for pierre thomas.
Last but not least i'm in a position where i might end up going with vince young on the hopes that he breaks out. but nvm that, in the fantasy playoffs (championship week 16 to be exact) if i was to make it there it would be tennesse vs. San Diego Chargers. lets forget about who the qb's are for a second and can you tell me is that a really bad idea to have the two qb's play eachother in a very important game and start them?

Hey man, will do my best ..... Welcome to Footballguys. Here are the questions I see:Who do you like better for the rest of the season: This is a tricky one since it is guesswork on Slaton's role. I will say Pierre since he is now healthy, running well, and has great matchups. At TE, give me Celek all day. Olsen is not involved much in offense. For your QB problems, do you think a combination of: a RB (Slaton, Lynch, etc), QB (Stafford or VY) and a WR like Cotchery is enough for McNabb? Since QB is such a big position, I would do what it takes to get a top one for a stretch run. I would offer the above deal for each of the Top QBs you like and see if you get something. This trade would not affect your starters except at QB.Good luck.

Hey by the way you mustve missed the question about having two qbs facing eachother I'm the playoffs especially in the championship is that a seriously bad idea? I have Vince young and Phillip rivers and thanks to your advice I'll be trading for another qb but if I made it in the championship I'd have them facing eachother is that just such a bad idea? Also who is a better trade for Eli manning or Donovan mcnabb? Donovan lit them up recently but elis playoff schedule looks really good who's better value remember my previous post the qbs are worth alot. But yea trade deadline is tomorow wondering if I should panic for another q.

Hey what the connections with this and the podcast? Ironically I'm listening to the podcast right now to the waiver wire episode. But yea do they read these questions on the podcast? Jeff Pasquino (Trader Joes) and I are on staff at FBG. We answer these questions and write articles. Sigmund Bloom and Cecil Lammey are also on staff. They do a great job on the podcasts. There is usually a thread in the Shark Pool before/during the podcasts taking questions.

Also who is a better trade for Eli manning or Donovan mcnabb? Donovan lit them up recently but elis playoff schedule looks really good who's better value remember my previous post the qbs are worth alot. If QBs dominate, I would pay the price to upgrade. I think i would go with McNabb (and pick up Kolb for insurance if on waiver wire). When Eli was tearing it up, the big stats were due to TDs, not completions or yards. McNabb has more 300-yard games and rushing yards.

Can you link me to that thread? I have played in a keeper league for a couple of seasons now and would like to try a dynasty league. I saw myfantasyleague.com allows you to sign up free midseason as a tryout and was thinking of starting up a league there. But, I don't know how many teams I need or how large the rosters need to be.
