I am off for the night. Have a great Sunday and good luck tomorrow.
Just a FYI, I will not be around tomorrow.
Just a FYI, I will not be around tomorrow.
drop Dez for Ivory ... good move. And check the bye weeks, but I like Daniels more than Winslow the rest of the wayHey Jeff,
I hope your teams did well this week. I won by less than a point! WHEW!
OK....I need some direction
My RB corp consists of:
Jahvid Best
LeSean McCoy
Ryan Torain
Reggie Bush
My WR's are:
Randy Moss
Hakeem Nicks
Pierre Garcon
Santonio Holmes
Mike Williams (TB)
Dez Bryant
I am thinking about dropping a WR for an additional RB.
Chris Ivory is available now, I was thinking about letting Dez Bryant go for him.
1. Do you think this is the right WR to let go?
2. Do you like Ivory as an option since my RB's are all beat up except for Torain--Who for some reason didn't play the
last 3 series of the game last night!
*I don't expect Ivory to have the same numbers every week but his match ups for next week vs the Browns looks good.
*Do you still like Mike Williams (TB) more than Mike Williams (SEA)?
TE:
I grabbed Winslow like you suggested. Do you still think I should drop him and grab Owen Daniels now?
Winslow went 7-43
Daniels went 5-79
*I'm in a PPR League----1pt for every 10 yds
THANKS AGAIN!
great move since Brandon Jackson does not get enough TDs to be startable week to week12 team ppr redraftThomas Jones was dropped last week and is on the WWDrop Bjax for Jones?
I would wait until the week you need a QB before worrying about it since it seems so much happens week to week. I would pick up one of the SD WRs .. not because I like them but because they have no one else and River will continue to throw a ton.Hello Jeff,Is it time to think about picking Stafford or another qb up? Week 8 is coming up. I can get him or maybe Smith from San Fran. Let me know what you think.I'll have to let you help me later this week. I benched Megatron and It was a big mistake. Good news .....im still tied for 1st in my division. Someone dropped sims walker.......is he worth a pick up.....amendola flopped. Davis or Crayton may be available?Thanks!!!![]()
I would much prefer Romo to Ryan. Ryan is no better, fantasy-wise, than many QBs much cheaperHi Jeff,Our league moved to a salary cap league and I'm trying to figure out a reasonable cap strategy heading into next season. The keeper cap is $50 and the total cap is $100. Players rise in value by 20% every season. It's a PPR league. My team currently is (this season's values): Tony Romo $12 Matt Ryan $7Maurice Jones-Drew $30Lesean McCoy $8Marshawn Lynch $1Benjarvis Green-Ellis $1CJ Spiller $2 (rookies are $2 in year 1 then rise in value based on sportsline values the following year)Larry Fitzgerald $15Deion Branch $1Bears D/ST $3Basically though, I'm wondering about how to even approach a roster. I'm planning on cutting MJD at $36 for next season. I'm torn between Romo and Ryan. Definite keepers are Larry Fitz and McCoy and all of the $1 guys. Along with Spiller. So then I'll have $50 to spend on WRs and another RB. Should I not exceed $25 for a RB and $20 for a stud WR?Thanks!G

love KC defense this week ...Thinking about grabbing KC this week, for their matchup at home v Jacksonville. They're a really poor road team, and it could be a great matchup.I can drop either SFO or Cincy, and as of now plan on dropping San Fran. However, here are other options:Carolina, which hosts San Fran --- but teir QBs give the other team too many scoring opportunitiesTampa Bay, who is home to St Louis --- but Bradford looks really good
Start Winslow. He is decent enough. A Buc is better than a Brown.Hey Jeff
I dropped D Bryant and scooped up Ivory as you suggested.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have no question about which WR's to start this week, thanks to Bye weeks but......
it does give me cause at the TE position this week.
Do I drop Winslow for Ben Watson (Cle) vs NO this week?
**ODaniels is on his Bye this week-I still plan on grabbing him for wk 8 forward like you suggested!
These are my 3 WR's this week:
-Randy Moss @ GB
-Hakeem Nicks @ DAL
-Mike Williams (TB) v STL
*If I keep K Winslow I will be starting 2 Bucs this week...I know its the Rams but is that a scary idea or what?
**If I drop Winslow for Watson, Ben faces the Saints.......is that a better option?
***I feel safer with Freeman as QB but starting 2 Bucs seems scary!
What would you do Jeff?
THANKS!!!
If you are looking back on it now, look how many top backups would have been only $1-2. This is how it is every year. The idea is to spend good $ on a QB, RB1, and WR1, then avg $ on RB2/3 and WR2/3. You can get WR4+ and TE1 on the cheap. In terms of big picture theory, how would you build a roster with $50 to spend keepers and $100 total cap? Basically, the keeper cap allows me to keep a few guys under $15. I can then fill the roster with players in the auction.I'm trying to make a max value template at each position so I don't overspend. Basically can you help me create a budget? I need to create a budget that allows me to be competitive every year. We start 18 players and have $23 total. We start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs and 1 RB/WR FLEX, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DST. The backups can be any position. Here's my initial take. I think the vast majority should be spent on starters. Though I might need cap room as free agents are $5, although I think a better strategy is to not worry about free agents and if I need one, cut an underperforming/overvalued player from my roster.QB $15RB1 $30 (only if I can get a top RB) RB2 $15WR1 $15WR2 $5WR3 $1FLEX $5TE $3K $1DST $2 This totals $92 and would leave $1-2 per backup. Thoughts or recommendations on how I might approach the budget? Thanks!

ben watson makes a great play this week. drop tate or sjohnson for him this week.Jeff,My team is 2-4 so I'm beginning to hit the panic button but I'm trying to hold off. This is a 12 team league with standard scoring that starts 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, T, K, D. My team:Vick, Hill (dropping for Kolb)ADP, Bradshaw, Moreno, Jacobs, Lynch, EllisFitzgerald, Jennings, Ward, Murphy, Tate, Steve JohnsonViscianoRackersSteelers DI'm trying to pick up Fred Davis or Ben Watson in addition to getting Kolb with Hill going down. I think my biggest weakness is TE as Ward should step up with Big Ben back to fill my #3 WR hole. I went to the owner of Keller and Owen Daniels asking about Daniels, instead he sent me this offer:I give up Jennings and Visciano and get Keller and Robert Meacham. I don't think I can do this trade as my WR core in a 3 WR league looks incredibly thin. His other WRs are Megatron, Collie, Walter, and Wallace. I'm not sure Walter would be enough to make the trade worthwhile. He already said he doesn't want to trade Daniels as he thinks his value will rise with him being healthy. Thoughts?
Ivory is a good start, so is Jacobs and Crayton. I think you can drop Hightower if need be.JeffRate these guys Standard scoring May have to play a few this week......D. williams, Woodhead,Jacobs, Mason,Avant, Crayton, Colston, Ivory.......Floyd hurt leaning Woodhead and Crayton for this weeksome of these are available.Thinking Crayton and also Ward available......I have McCoy and Bradshaw on bye in week 8 Would you dump Hightower for any of these guys: Would have Crayton, Ward for later and Woodhead THinking is Crayton for S. moss this week.....would have to play Colston for MeagatronThanks,
Drop Tolbert for Brown first and foremost. Then, I would not drop any others for BJGE, unless it is Britt but you may need the WR to cover byesJeff,
Somebody just dropped BGE. My team (starters in bold as we require 2 RB, 3 WR, and 2 flex spots with standard scoring):
Big Ben, Vick
Gore, Ivory, Woodhead, MBIII, Reggie Bush, Tolbert
Megatron, Boldin, Ward, Royal, Britt
Steelers
Kicker
I was thinking either Tolbert, MBIII, or Reggie Bush...thoughts?
Also, with Addai out for several weeks apparently who do you recommend I drop for Brown?

I would use one move for either Ivory or Meachem ... both playing well. I would dump Kuhn. Meachem is the better longterm move but Ivory this week. Then, I would sit Dez this week and start MB3Hey Jeff. Here's the facts:--12 team Non-PPR, all TDs are 7pts, standard yardage.--Very limited league in regards to transactions. We're at the halfway point of the regular season and I have 4 left. I also have 4th position on the waiver list. --You have to have 5 RBs and 6 WRs, no more no less. --I also need to save at least 1 transaction for most of the season in case Hernandez gets dinged as my other TE is Finley, although I could trade. My RBs = Best (bye this week), Bradshaw (bye next week), Barber, Sproles, KuhnMy WRs = AJ (bye this week), Ocho, MWilliamsTB, Dez, Naanee (banged up), McClusterFA RBs = Woodhead (RB only), Ivory, BettsFA WRs = Meachem, Burleson (bye this week), DAlexander, Avant, JenkinsI'm not all that comfortable starting Barber and Dez this week against the Giants. This seems like a good time to use a move or two with my waiver position. If Naanee is healthy, and Gates/Floyd are not, he has a good matchup....but that's alot of if's. I'd also rather not play guys coming off that type of injury right away. The Saints play at home against the Browns making Ivory (with Pierre out) and Meachem attractive, but they play the Steelers next week when Bradshaw is on bye (Barber plays Jags though). I also see Woodhead as a viable option this week and down the stretch. I like Burleson too, but he doesn't help me this week, and that's a move I could make right after waiver runs if nobody picks him up and I didn't get Meachem. Not sure I have enough info on Alexander.I need to put the best lineup out there since I'm a game out of the division at 3-4....but I also am limited on moves so what I do needs to try to also have an eye on later in the year. What would be your move(s) here? Hey Jeff....Thanks Very much for your Advice
I like your group. Starks might be only one to consider dropping. I might take a chance on FJackson or SpillerDesperately need your help. I am in a 10 team, .5 ppr league. All TD's are 6 pts. 1 pt per 10 yds. rushing/receiving. Defenses score alot of pts, for example my Tennessee defense scored me 25 pts. last week. 2-4 at this point in the season sitting in 9th place. I do have the 4th most pts. in the league however. We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 RB/WR, 1 TE, 1K, 1 Def and 1 IDP Here is my lineup:QB: BreesRB: J. Best. M. Forte, P. Thomas, B. Jackson, C. Ivory, J. neither are worth that large of $$ .... I would risk Alexander over Mason if neither is a starter. Maybe 30%OK Jeff one more.Dynasty PPR both D. Mason and D. Alexander are on the waiver wire and I plan to spend a high % of my bidding bucks on one of these guys, not too many players are usually available in this league. I'm ready to win now but I'm good at WR and Mason would be my 5-6th WR. Alexander would be a lottery ticket for the future since I'm good right now.Which player would you make a priority? Also do you think either are worth 80-90 % of blind bidding bucks as I still have most of mine left.
Thanks for the quick response. My waiver ran last night and my order was Ivory-Meachem-Woodhead. The #1 waiver claimed Ivory and I claimed Meachem at #4. I'm still debating making the move on Woodhead as he was not picked up. He certainly would be an upgrade to Kuhn, but I'm now down to 3 moves. If I picked him up and didn't start him this week I'm not sure that's worth it...but it could be.Jeff Tefertiller said:I would use one move for either Ivory or Meachem ... both playing well. exactly what I would do ... dump Shockey for AG since Winslow has had his byeHi Jeff,Anthony Gonzales is available on our WW. Ivory or Hart (depending on Addai/DBrown health) at RBAt QB, I think Hass is the way I would goJeff, standard scoring redraftWho would you rather have just for rb depth?Ward, Spiller,or Hart,Woodhead.. Im playing Ivory this week . Just thinking of a plug and play guy.Or maybe keep Ivory after this week.......and go ahead and pickup a qb for next week with Kob/vick on bye. drop Wood to do this.Afraid a couple guys make pick some and hold on roster: Smith, Freeman,Cassel,Hass available. PPR LEAGUE
Need 2 RB's to start (Best on BYE, BUSH on IR)
[C Ivory vs CLE
L McCoy @ TEN (Worried about what I saw the Titans do to MJD---but McCoy can catch!)
R Torain @ CHI (Just don't want to see him come out of the game in the 4th for K Williams like last week)
Thanks to BYE weeks...My WR question is more of a WR/TE one.....
I have to start 2 BUCS this week
M Williams & K Winslow face the RAMS @ home
Would you be worried or is their match-up ok?
My other 2 starting WR's are R Moss & H Nicks (Do you think he bounces back)
* I hope to grab Owen Daniels after his bye this week
THANKS
I think I would go with Brady. Cassel is a great bye filler, but you have Brady. He is safer with similar upsideHi Jeff,What do you think about starting Cassel over Brady this week? KC gets to go against the Jags secondary, while Brady has to face the stingiest defense vs. QBs in the Chargers.6pts/TD, 1pt/25 yards passing, -1/sack taken, -2/INT or fumble lostAlso who should I drop to pick up Cassel (Team 1 below)? I'm thinking either Thomas Jones, Roy Williams, or NYG Steve Smith. Thanks!
hey jeff,
sit/start help needed
12 team, auction keeper, 1/10 yds, 6 td, ppr, 1/40 ret
need 2 rb, 2 wr, flex, te
foster and addai off this week
RB Charles, Stewart, Wells---------------------def Charles, leaning Wells, or possibly grabbing Woodhead and dropping Stewart (too early?) Charles and Wells ... hang onto Stewart. Woodhead does not get many carries.
WR Wallace, Owens, Harvin, Amendola, Garcon (bye)----------------1st three is what im thinking right now agree
TE Celek, Maeoki-----------Celek, especially w DJax out - agree , Tony burned me last week
Same team, trade advice:
this team is loaded at WR and terrible at RB, wants Foster or Charles. What WRs would you target first and what would you offer?
RBs:Bradshaw, Lynch, Ivory, Williams, Barber
WRs: White, AJohnson, Welker, DBryant, Holmes
I would want one of the top three for Charles, and hang onto Foster unless you get White or AJ
thanks man
I would go with Orton, especially with DeSean Jackson out this weekInstinctive said:Kolb v OrtonI have a strange need to start Orton, but Kolb's matchup looks nice to me. I feel like Denver may actually be able to run the ball pretty effectively this week, while Philly will throw all game long.We get .5 for comps and only -.25 for incs, so a west coast passer like Kolb becomes quite valuable. Also, a bonus at 325 yards passing...Thoughts?
