He has my two handcuffs in Betts and Irons, and is clearly in need of another starting caliber runner. I have two ideas

ption 1:I get: T. Jones, L. Betts, M. Hasselbeck, 1st round pickHe gets: R. Johnson, S. McNair, R. Bironas (trash)In essence, I would downgrade from Rudi to Thomas Jones and in exchange get Betts, upgrade from McNair to Hasselbeck, and get a first rounder (in 2009 though).option 2:I get: Betts, IronsHe gets: Morency, Bironas (trash)In this option I get my two handcuffs and give up an enigmatic potential starting back.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------An addendum to any potantial trade is that I own this team's 2008 first rounder, so making him better for this coming season isn't really in my interests. I don't know how to value that though.I'm not particularly high on either Betts or Irons. With Betts, I feel he is a good backup but will never be the main guy, given his age and the situation. With Irons, I look at him and don't see someone who can just step in for Rudi; they are different backs. Irons is so thin, and Rudi so thick. At the same time, I know Rudi and Portis both have mileage and I am uncomfortable without the handcuffs. With Morency, I know that he hasn't done anything, but I am unsure about trading him for the two backups. We accumulate backups in the hope they will eventually start, right? So why trade away a guy with the opportunity to start this year for guys who MIGHT somewhere down the line, even if the starter is an unknown who could flame out? And again, with him, I am afraid to give this team a second starting back, since I have the first rounder. All in all, a complicated situation. I need some advice.
