Jeff,

1 PPR redraft is going on right now, trying to figure out who to invest in. Auction league and I have money to go after one of these players:

Scheffler

Shockey

S. Moss= most $$

Fred Taylor

Roster so far, RB-WR-TE. Start 2-3RB, 2-4WR, 1-2TE:

McGahee / Rice

Graham

Young / Hall

Marshall

Boldin

Cotchery

Driver

T. Gonzo

McMichael (current high bid)

Also what do you think the chances are C. Brown is the #1 RB in Houston?

14 team dynasty league, standard scoring no PPR, starting lineup 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 1 TE, 3 Flex(RB, WR or TE).My rosterQB's McNabb, Garcia, CroyleRB's McGahee, S. Jackson, Portis, IronsWR's Wayne, Bowe, J. Walker, Galloway, StokleyTE's Winslow, V. DavisI do not have a 1st round pick this year but have 2.03 & 2.08 picks this year.I was offered a 1.03 and 2.11 for S. Jackson. His 1st offer was R. Bush, 2.09 & 2.10 for S. Jackson.Bush is his only RB and only has Romo and Fitz that I would be interested in. He has been trying to trade for S. Jackson for about a month now. I know what I think of the trade and would like to know what you think of it since everytime I reject his trade he does not understand why I will not accept any of the trades. I might just offer him S.Jackson, D. McNabb, 2.03 & 2.08 for Romo, Fitz and 1.03 to see what is does.
To be honest, it would take a lot more than either for me to move Steven Jackson. His offers are what you would get for Larry Johnson and there is a huge difference in the two for me. You might some RB rankings on another site (:LMAO) and show him where the differences are. No one I know of would have those offers as close. To put it this way, this offseason, I traded for SJax. I gave: 1.02 (McFadden), 1.03 (Mendenhall), Gaffney, Curry, Pierre Thomas, and Chris Henry - rb. I think I paid a ton, but it was worth it to get a top back. I have a very good team and needed a top back. You have very good RBs, so you could afford the offer you made, but even that is not bad for him ... even though he will think it is.Good luck with this one .....
He was insulted with the offer pretty much said we were done talking about a trade for SJ and I could put up with the headach of watching him not play this year.Draft question for this league it is a Rookie/FA draft. I have picks 2.03, 2.08, 3.08 & 4.08. Would you take Favre at my 2.03 if he is there over players like Donnie Avery, DeSean Jackson, Earl Bennett, Jordy Nelson, Eddie Royal since my backup QB's are not that great if I take Favre at 2.03 I can get one of these WR at 2.08.Also should I pick Antonio Pittman with my 3rd or 4th round pick just in case SJ is not back by the start of the season. Thanks for all the help this offseason.
do not let the other owner sweat you. Jackson will play, just a matter of when. When he comes back, it will be best time to move him. I think I would take DeSean Jackson or Josh Morgan at 2.03. Then at 2.08, I would look at Favre, Morgan, or Royal. Definitely consider Pittman in 3rd, but I would want Hightower if he is there over Pittman. I would not worry about QB too much. Can you trade for Kolb on the cheap or is he available? I do not have high hopes for Favre this season. I think he finishes midpack.
Kolb is a FA someone dropped him during the off season and I made the mistake of not picking him up because I was thinking Croyle would be my backup and future QB but now I am not so sure about that. Hightower will not even be there when I pick in the 2nd round this draft startes out heavy with RB's. I would guess that the 1st 10 picks will be RB's with a possiblity that Matt Ryan falls to me at my 2.03 pick.
I like Ryan. ALso, I would look to pick up Kolb. He seems forgotten now, but that offense produces points.

I like your team. I would target Fred Taylor of those. I think I would target cheaper depth WRs. Also, look for James Jones and possibly Meachem late if cheap enough. Being PPR, Curry is underrated. In Houston, I like Brown, but he usually gets just a few games before injury. I would much rather have Fred.

Hey Jeff

I was just offered a drafting order trade spot. 14 team league with 2 keepers each (mine are Romo and lynch) and I am currenly drafting in the 11th spot.

The guy who is considering making me the trade is cuurently drafting in the 7th spot. His keepers are RB's S. Jackson and A. Peterson. He stated that if WR's that he is interested in (Fitz and Wayne) are gone before he drafts he would trade me his 7th pick straight up for my 11th pick. I currently plan on drafting an RB with my 1st pick. He states trading spots would give me a better shot at a better RB than in my current draft spot.

Would you make the draft spot trade? Why would he want to make the trade?

Thanks

This all depends on who is kept. Do you know yet which players have been kept? If so, it would not be hard to figure out? But, in general, I like it if one of the RBs you like will be there.

One more quick question. Would you still target Willis that high up seeing that he just had surgery and may not even be back for week 1? Also would you take Jacobs seeing that he may be in a RBBC over Turner, McFadden, Graham and Jones? Thanks for all your input....

Taking Willis that high does mean you have to take Rice earlier than you would want, but it should translate to a very good RB2. On Jacobs, all of the others RBs (except Turner) will share carries as well.

Spoke with him today again. He still does not know if he will make the deal as he has RB S.Jackson who still is holding out so he may need to grab a RB at that spot. In that case besides keepers RB's most likely off the board before my pick will be: MJD, Grant, Jakobs, Willis, Turner. What are the next best 5 RB's to target as a good RB2? Thanks.....drafting in 2 days.

The RBs really drop off after those five are gone. I would strongly consider taking a top wr instead of this group of RBs if one is available. But, the next group of RBs has:

McFadden

Edge

Thomas Jones

Parker

Graham

6 pts/catching td

1 pt/10 yrd receiving

1 pt/10 yds rushing

Basic scoring for DEF and K

Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 4 WR(TE's also WR), 1 K, 1 DEF

This is only my second ff draft and my first auction. The draft didn't go as planned, my first pick was Moss and the draft was delayed and I picked him by accident, still got descent value though.

QB- Garrard($7), Young($5)

RB- Lynch($48), Lewis($22), Johnson($12), Chris Brown, Jason Wright, Sammy Morris, and Brad Jackson(all for $1)

WR- Moss($40), Calvin Johnson($20), Holmes($16), D. Mason($3), R. Brown($7), James Jones($3), Chris Henry($1)

K- Crosby($1), Scobee($1)

DEF- Seatlle($3), Buffalo($1)

Rookie Draft- Chris Johnson, Malcolm Kelly, Early Doucet, Josh Johnson

I just dropped Scobee and snagged Scheffler for $3 bucks in the TE draft(messup in original draft).

The question I have is should I drop Rudi? He is taking up a considerable amount of my salary cap. He has yet to play and may lose his job. He may rebound but he could be a major bust. Both Chris Perry and Maurice Morris are on the waiver wire. On Saturday night, we can begin to blind bid on waiver wire players. Should I drop Rudi and put in some bids for these RB's, if so how much? I could also bid on some WR's. There might be some potential pickups with the Seattle and Philly situations. So should I drop Rudi?

I could drop Seattle D instead which is costing me $4 bucks. In our league ST scoring goes to the individual player. Would that be enough to get my Chris Perry? Thanks

Hey Jeff,Ok, so just finished our Auction Draft. The league is a H2H Keeper league, we can keep 3 players for max of 3 years. Salary cap is $200. I think I would consider dropping Seattle Def and Wright for Perry and MoMo if you can. You are in great shape at WR. Reggie Brown gets a break with Curtis now hurt. I would try to get Perry first, then Maurice Morris if you can. Both may start the first game of the season.

The RBs really drop off after those five are gone. I would strongly consider taking a top wr instead of this group of RBs if one is available. But, the next group of RBs has:McFaddenEdgeThomas JonesParkerGraham
Hi JeffWould you rank the above RB's in that order? Which ones do you think are least likely to time share? Also if for some chance I landed McGahee with my pick at what point do you figure that I should grab Rice as a handcuff? Thanks...

I would say that order is about right. Parker and Jones are close, real close for me. On Willis, i would look at rice in the 5th or 6th. Yes, it is a lot to pay (1st for willis and 5th/6th for rice) but the ravens will run it well

Well, I like Graham. But, he will share carries with Dunn and Michael Bennett. This does not even include what happens if/when Caddy makes it back. The team just lost a starting Guard in Davin Joseph and looks to be in a mess. To be honest, other than Galloway as a WR2/3 and possibly a flyer on A Bryant, I do not like any Buc this year ... maybe the defense.

Hey Jeff - My auction draft is Saturday. It is a partial keeper league so some names are gone. I have my "formulas" all figured out and some guys I am targeting. My question for you is, do you have a few names of some guys that may be under the radar, yet could have some fantasy impact?

One guy I like is Robert Meachem of the Saints - great offence - great upside!? What do you think?

Thanks for the input!

Hey BR,some sleepers for me are:QB: Matt Moore with Delhomme's injury, Kevin Kolb since McNabb rarely plays all 16, and Warner. I expect all three to see game time this year.Schaub and Cutler are undervalued starters. If you do not get a top 4 qb, wait for these two.RB:Betts with Portis leading league in carries in 2007Chris Johnson has been tearing it upHightower with Edge's ageSlaton in Hou has looked goodRay Rice - been great this preseason and might be too expensive nowChester Taylor prob starts 4-6 games and is a top 10 rb when startingRicky Williams (if you are a believer) could be the starterI like the Chris Perry/Kenny Watson cheap combo for CincyWR:Rookie DeSean Jackson with the Curtis injuryNate Burleson will be only legit Sea WR for 5-8 gamesGaffney in NE should be WR3 in that offenseRookie Josh Morgan and Eddie Royal should start for SF and Den. Morgan has more upside, imoIke Bruce will be a decent possession wrReggie brown (if can stay healthy) has a chance to have a great seasonChris Henry if cheap and you can stomach paying for himLaurent RobinsonMuhsin Muhammad is a quiet sleeper this yr who can easily be a top 25-30 wr this yrJames Jones has a ton of talentTE:Zack MillerLJ SmithBoth good sleepers this yrGood luck. 12 team dynasty league, max limits for QB's is 4, RB's is 7, & WR's is 8.

I need to cut 2 players and one must be a RB so what 2 players would you cut.

QB's McNabb, Pennington, Croyle, Chad Henne

RB's D. McAllister, M. Barber, Chris Brown, J. Norwood, K. Watson, L. White, A. Bradshaw, A. Hall

WR's Burress, Edwards, Wayne, Galloway, D. Henderson, Jason Hill

TE's Todd Heap, LJ Smith, R. McMichael

K's Akers, Rackers

Def San Diego, Baltimore

At RB, I would cut either Deuce or Chris Brown, preferably Deuce. I guess I use the rule that I could see starting Brown in a given week but not Deuce. We still have not seen him back to 100% yet. The last cut would either be Henderson or McMichael, depending on if you think you have too keep the WRs.

Well I have to start 3 WR's & can only start 1 TE. Just made a trade offer to the Bush owner Duce & McMichael for D. Lee.Might look for the Green owner and make him a trade offer only thing is I have to make my cuts by midnight tonight.

I hear you. You will need to add another WR for depth but you have a good team.

I got Jackson would you pick Chris Peery with my other 2nd round pick or just go with Royal or Morgan.

Hi Jeff

Just finished my draft. Can you please rate my team. We start 1 QB, 2RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 kicker and 1 defence. Pts are 1 pt for every 10 yards rush/receive and 6 pts for all TD's. Here is my team:

QB: Romo, Bulger, Warner

RB: Lynch, Grant, T. Jones, B. Jackson

WR: Bowe, Burlson, Driver, Walter, Patten, McCairns

TE: Daniels, Fasano

Kicker: Folk, Pratter

Defence: Minnesota

Thanks...

I like your team a lot. Burleson and Driver will be better than most think just because of situation. The one thing you might think about is finding an upside WR or two. You have a top QB, Top RBs, A very good TE, and the Top kicker and defense. Walter and Patten played well last season. I might look to drop McCareins for a WR with some upside.

Hey Jeff, when you get a chance I need a little help...

Scoring:

1 pt/25 yds passing

6 pts/rushing td

Brown($7), Scheffler($3), James Jones($3), Chris Henry($1)

K- Crosby($1),

DEF- Buffalo($1)

So the salary Cap is $200 buck, I am currently at $196. The Faab will start soon, we have $100 bucks for the season and adds must keep us at $200 or below. Some players on the waiver that I need or interest me are Chris Perry, Maurice Morris, Chris Cooley. Cooley was dropped, initial price was $9.

With the injury to Brown and and insecurity of Rudi, should I drop Scheffler and Brown and try to pick up both Chris Perry and Chris Cooley. Im thinking if I put a bid of $11 for Cooley and $3 for Perry I should get this. I mean Cooley will score more TD's and have more yards than Brown. I like Scheffler but I like Cooley more. Any advice? Thanks again...

I got Jackson would you pick Chris Peery with my other 2nd round pick or just go with Royal or Morgan.
I think I would take a chance on either a QB or Rookie WR considering the injury history of Perry. Yes, Perry looks good but that guy has trouble staying healthy. If you take him, I would look to trade ASAP.
I ended up with Royal in the 2nd, Perry in the 3rd & Kolb in the 4th.
very nice

I like your team a lot. Burleson and Driver will be better than most think just because of situation. The one thing you might think about is finding an upside WR or two. You have a top QB, Top RBs, A very good TE, and the Top kicker and defense. Walter and Patten played well last season. I might look to drop McCareins for a WR with some upside.
Thanks Jeff...I agree with you re: some week 4,5,6 WR's. I still like Walter as I had him last year and he was an ok filler. As for Patten do you think he will be NO #2 WR? I keep hearing diff't stories. As for McCairns I just took him as hardly any decent WR's with any potential were left and he was listed as the teams #2 WR. Any suggestions as to who I might look to with some more upside. Keep in mind that this is a 14 team league that drafts 6 WR's each team. Thanks...

Is Ken Watson available? I would suggest dropping rudi, brown, and scheffler and getting cooley, perry and watson. I like it even without watson. BTW, I do like Reggie Brown for the first half of the season while Curtis is out.

I do like Brown if he is healthy, Kenny Watson is taken...he went for $7 in the draft(crazy). I think Rudi is taking up way too much of my cap space for what he is worth. For RB's notables available are Maurice Morris, Chris Perry, Aaron Stecker, and Pierre Thomas. Vernon Davis is also available, this is a tough call. I am really worried about Rudi and my depth at RB in general but I would mind having Cooley or Davis either. Any other thoughts?

This might be my best option here. I knew Rudi was going to be a boom or bust this year and I know it's early on but he is already looking like a bust. I mean he is already complaining of a hamstring injury. By dropping these three players I will be left with $22. So, I'm thinking spending $12 on Cooley and $5 on both Perry and Morris, sound about right to you? The only regret I have now is dropping the Seattle DEF, but they were costing me $4 and our scoring counts ST points towards the individual player so...

those numbers look about right. I would assume the rbs might go for more and cooley less since te is not required.

Would you do the trade of Duce for D. Lee since I have to drop a RB anyways.

I have another Dynasty league draft and I have the 1.02 pick. In one of my other dynasty league I have already drafted J. Stewart should I draft him again in this league or should I go with Mendenhall just to offset this league and not put all my eggs in one basket.

There is no PPR scoring.

I think i would drop Chris Brown instead. Getting a 4th te does not help any. But, it is close and should not be a big deal either way. Lee would not start over your TEs.

I would not sweat having the same player everywhere as long as you like him the best. You prob like Stewart best since you drafted him in the previous draft.

Looking to drop a Kicker/TE or Defense for the following options before they disappear:

PPR LEAGUE

(My RB's are LJohnson/RBush/Michael Turner)

Chris Johnson RB TENN

Mendenhall RB PITT

Chris Perry RB TENN

Chester Taylor RB MINN

Felix Jones RB DAL

(My WR's are TOwens/Cotchery/Burleson/Jennings)

DeSean Jackson WR PHI

Eddie Royal WR DEN

Robert Meachem WR NO

I can only pick up 1 RB and 1 WR out of the groups above. Please place them in order, as always I appreciate the help!

10 team league that starts 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR/TE, 2 flex, K, D. Traditional scoring (but includes punt/kick returns).

My team:

QB: Eli and Favre

RB: MBIII, Portis, Forte, Mendehall, L Betts, A Hall

WR: TJ Houshmanzadeh, Burress, Cotchery, Calvin Johnson, Galloway

K: Vinatieri

D: Pats D

The first thing that shows up is both of my QB's play in Giants stadium which can be difficult come November/December.

I'm thinking of dropping Mendenhall for Maurice Morris once waivers open up. WR's are pretty slim.

I would keep Mendenhall vs Morris for now. Hard to tell how Sea will end up. You have a strong team. I would not sweat the QBs for now. I think you will do well.
