14 team dynasty league, standard scoring no PPR, starting lineup 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 1 TE, 3 Flex(RB, WR or TE).My rosterQB's McNabb, Garcia, CroyleRB's McGahee, S. DavisI do not have a 1st round pick this year but have 2.03 & 2.08 picks this year.I was offered a 1.03 and 2.11 for S. Jackson. His 1st offer was R. Bush, 2.09 & 2.10 for S. Jackson.Bush is his only RB and only has Romo and Fitz that I would be interested in. He has been trying to trade for S. Jackson for about a month now. I know what I think of the trade and would like to know what you think of it since everytime I reject his trade he does not understand why I will not accept any of the trades. I might just offer him S.Jackson, D. McNabb, 2.03 & 2.08 for Romo, Fitz and 1.03 to see what is does.

To be honest, it would take a lot more than either for me to move Steven Jackson. His offers are what you would get for Larry Johnson and there is a huge difference in the two for me. You might some RB rankings on another site LMAO) and show him where the differences are. No one I know of would have those offers as close. To put it this way, this offseason, I traded for SJax. I gave: 1.02 (McFadden), 1.03 (Mendenhall), Gaffney, Curry, Pierre Thomas, and Chris Henry - rb. I think I paid a ton, but it was worth it to get a top back. I have a very good team and needed a top back. You have very good RBs, so you could afford the offer you made, but even that is not bad for him ... even though he will think it is.Good luck with this one .....

He was insulted with the offer pretty much said we were done talking about a trade for SJ and I could put up with the headach of watching him not play this year.Draft question for this league it is a Rookie/FA draft. I have picks 2.03, 2.08, 3.08 & 4.08. Would you take Favre at my 2.03 if he is there over players like Donnie Avery, DeSean Jackson, Earl Bennett, Jordy Nelson, Eddie Royal since my backup QB's are not that great if I take Favre at 2.03 I can get one of these WR at 2.08.Also should I pick Antonio Pittman with my 3rd or 4th round pick just in case SJ is not back by the start of the season.Thanks for all the help this offseason.

do not let the other owner sweat you. Jackson will play, just a matter of when. When he comes back, it will be best time to move him. I think I would take DeSean Jackson or Josh Morgan at 2.03. Then at 2.08, I would look at Favre, Morgan, or Royal. Definitely consider Pittman in 3rd, but I would want Hightower if he is there over Pittman. I would not worry about QB too much. Can you trade for Kolb on the cheap or is he available? I do not have high hopes for Favre this season. I think he finishes midpack.

Kolb is a FA someone dropped him during the off season and I made the mistake of not picking him up because I was thinking Croyle would be my backup and future QB but now I am not so sure about that. Hightower will not even be there when I pick in the 2nd round this draft startes out heavy with RB's. I would guess that the 1st 10 picks will be RB's with a possiblity that Matt Ryan falls to me at my 2.03 pick.

I like Ryan. ALso, I would look to pick up Kolb. He seems forgotten now, but that offense produces points.

I got Jackson would you pick Chris Peery with my other 2nd round pick or just go with Royal or Morgan.

I think I would take a chance on either a QB or Rookie WR considering the injury history of Perry. Yes, Perry looks good but that guy has trouble staying healthy. If you take him, I would look to trade ASAP.

I ended up with Royal in the 2nd, Perry in the 3rd & Kolb in the 4th.

Would you trade a 2009 2nd or 3rd round pick for Reggie Brown, WR PHI or he also said he is looking for a QB but the only QB's I have are backups Garcia or Croyle. I would end up cutting Stokley or I could trade Croyle and a 3rd or 4th for him.What do you think would be a good trade for Brown or do I just stay will what I have. He also told me he would move these WR's Deon Branch, Mark Clayton, Chad Jackson or Darrel Jackson out of all of these Brown is the only that I really like.Just received this offer N. Burleson and W. Franklin for C. Perry. This one I might take or do you think I should hold Perry to see what he does in the first couple of games.

You are fine at WR since Curtis' injury makes Reg Brown startable early in season.

I would hold Perry for at least a week. If the Bengals trade or cut Rudi, Perry's value soars. The only thing to think about is his injury history. As with most things, timing is everything. But, to be sure, Perry is seeing his value soar.

Jeff, we have moved to a keeper league this season after doing redrafts w/o keepers for years. I have Adrian Peterson as my keeper (we're keeping 1 this year) and he's my 4th round pick (pick 31). I have the 10th pick in our 10-team league, so I'll have picks 10,11, 30, 31 (Peterson), etc. PPR league with standard scoring.Looking at the ADPs, rankings, and other keepers in our league, it would appear that about the best RBs that will be available at #10 will be MJD, or maybe McGahee. These WRs will be kept: Moss, Wayne, Colston......possibly leaving TO/Fitz/Braylon/Housh there for me at 10. Only TO is a a risk to be taken by 10. Other keepers "ahead" of this ADP: Brady, Lynch, MB3.I was strongly considering going WR/WR at that spot and taking a RB at #30. The MJD/McGahee tier of RB doesn't excite me as much as having two premier WRs, considering that I have my stud RB in AP. RBs that could be there for me at #30 would be FWP, Jacobs, McFadden (early for him)....and I'd also probably go RB at #50 with someone like a Selvin Young or Jonathan Stewart. If Bush is there at 10, then I have to go Bush/Fitz, in my opinion.Your thoughts? WR/WR at 10/11....or take best RB available, then WR (11) and take best WR available at #30. There Thanks.

I like MJD and think the little guy is way underrated. He should be a top 10-12 RB once again. To be honest, TO (and maybe Braylon) are the only ones of that group I would consider at the turn. The group of 3rd round WRs will be very close to Fitz, etc but the dropoff at RB is much bigger. I would like to have the MJD/TO (or BE) combo at the corner, then a WR like Plax or Holt or even Welker in 3rd. The thing about it that I see is that the dropoff from MJD to Parker or Jacobs is larger than the drop from Fitz to Plax. I do like Jacobs more than most and he would be a good 3rd round pick. But, the MJD is in a better situation.

Would you go RB/WR if MJD was gone and I was left with a McGahee or Graham? Unless Bush or MJD present themselves for me, the others just below them, and I would rank McGahee in that group (injury) are questionable for #11 pick. A touch confused on your thoughts on Fitz. He seems to be widely regarded to be about the 4th WR after Moss, Wayne, TO, and you had him rated 6th I believe, with Braylon at 9th. You had Andre Johnson at 4th, most recently. Wonder if I should consider him, but hit injury history concern me. I do track what you were saying however about the dropoff from say MJD to FWP, as opposed to Fitz to a Welker (not as much of a drop). THat concern is partially why I inquired. all depends on scoring ... for the wrs. The fbg rankings are non-ppr. I do expect braylon to take a small step back from last year. no way he gets 16 tds again. But he is a safe choice. I think you draw a line in the sand at MJD/Bush (if you like him) and take WRs if they are gone. If there is a run on RBs, stud WRs should be there and vice versa. Fitz scares me some because of Leinart. He racked up points with Warner. I do like Andre Johnson but understand why he scares you. Also, with both he and ADP, you might be too risky.

I like your team, especially the WRs and TEs. Your QBs are strong. Only thing to sweat is RB2 but you should be fine between one of the Falcons or Chris Johnson. Daniels was a steal. Very strong team. I think you should be happy with the results.

So, basically it is Stokely and a 4th for Jackson. While I think Jackson has a lot of talent, I would hold off. He cannot come close to beating out Gaffney as it stands now.

I've been concerned about my QBs and have a deal on the table to give Mendenhall for Cutler. I like Palmer, but he's been regressing and that team looks like it's going to implode. I like Edwards, but he's yet to prove himself as a fantasy commodity. And I like Warner, but how many years are left? Cutler seems on the verge of becoming a perennial top 10 guy.

As for the RBs, I'm not sold on Mendenhall becoming a stud back, however it might be best to keep him around in case Bush never "gets" it.

Should I stick with my group and just keep hunting for a breakout QB? Or should I move a question mark at RB to solidify my QB corps?

I think your team would be fine moving Mendenhall for Cutler, but I think you are short-changing yourself a little on value. Mendenhall has looked ok, despite the fumbles. I think I would want a RB prospect or pick added tin order to give up on the Pitt rookie. I do think Cutler is a buy at this stage, he is still young and has no running game to speak of. I like the deal, but would just a little more.

Stewart easily in my mind. Perry has a tough time staying healthy. Stewart could be HUGE.

My issue with Grant lies in his hammy injury as much as anything else. You have another RB with a decent matchup, so not worth risking it. I do think TJones will be a decent RB3 all year and offer good insurance and bye filler.

I like your WRs, but would jump at the chance to get Moss for Jacobs or Turner. I would not do the deal for Wayne, but it is a great deal if you can get Moss. You have good RB depth and it would be a huge upgrade.

3. Kenny Watson: He was a late pick and can probably be had fairly cheaply. This locks up the Cincinnati backfield. If Marvin Lewis is true to his press statements, Cincy will be leaning more towards a feature back setup than an RBBC and I think either RB will be a decent #2 RB based on their receiving output. This move blocks my flexibility to make waiver wire pickups (we are limited to 5 RBs between the starting lineup and the bench).

4. Chris Johnson: He was an early 9th round pick and the owner wants DeAngelo Williams + My 2009 1st Round Pick. I would take this in a dynasty league, but I am reluctant in an 8-keeper league. How likely is it that he ends up as one of my 8 keepers to start next season? At what price is this deal a slam dunk?

5. Chad Johnson: His owner seems spooked by the shoulder injury (benched for week one). Now might be the time to buy low with a Roddy White for Chad Johnson deal. Chad Johnson carries a lot of risk, though.

First of all, I like your team. You have good QBs and great starting WRs (and MJD). I would make sure to keep a close eye on the waiver wire to upgrade the bottom part of the roster ... just for depth.

It might be the case with Ryan (before he improves greatly in 2009). The two WRs are close, but I give the slight edge to Bowe ... but very close.

Reggie Bush: I will likely have to give up a lot for him, but the owner has him on the block and might not be high on him for whatever reason(he took him at the end of the 4th where he was a slam dunk value pick). I would pass. Warner was the tenth ranked QB last yr and did not start all of the games. I would want a much better wr than Muhsin to do that deal.

The only deal that seems reasonable that could upgrade Bryant Johnson or Berrian would be:

Maurice Morris+Bryant Johnson for Kenny Watson+Sidney Rice

I'm not entirely convinced that Rice is an upgrade over Johnson. I certainly project Johnson for better numbers this season and young receivers are notoriously hard to pin down.

As I was typing this, LenDale White was placed on waivers (I know his owner is really down on him, but I was surprised at this). I am dropping Maurice Morris for him, but my waiver priority is 8th so I don't know if I'll get him unless everyone is asleep at the switch.

Congrats on the trade. This is just a matter of preference, but I like Sidney Rice's upside much more than Bryant Johnson, especially since the chances are good that you will not start either all season. I am someone that is much higher on Rice's longterm prospects than Berrian. Also, with Berrian's injury history (including the toe malady now), Rice would be the only WR in Minny. Plus, I do not think you could depend on MoMo all season, but Watson would definitely be startable if Perry went down. He was last year. First of all, I like your team. You have good QBs and great starting WRs (and MJD). I would make sure to keep a close eye on the waiver wire to upgrade the bottom part of the roster ... just for depth.

Thanks, I think my starting lineup is in the running for the championship and I have the best depth and keepers in the league.

3. Kenny Watson: He was a late pick and can probably be had fairly cheaply. This locks up the Cincinnati backfield. If Marvin Lewis is true to his press statements, Cincy will be leaning more towards a feature back setup than an RBBC and I think either RB will be a decent #2 RB based on their receiving output. This move blocks my flexibility to make waiver wire pickups (we are limited to 5 RBs between the starting lineup and the bench). I would offer Morris as part of the deal to get Watson. Since Morris is worth mroe than Watson, maybe you can upgrade BJohnson or Berrian in a 2 for 2 deal.

His 3-6 receivers are:Kevin Walter, Justin Gage, Sidney Rice, Jerry Porter

The only deal that seems reasonable that could upgrade Bryant Johnson or Berrian would be:

Maurice Morris+Bryant Johnson for Kenny Watson+Sidney Rice

I'm not entirely convinced that Rice is an upgrade over Johnson. I certainly project Johnson for better numbers this season and young receivers are notoriously hard to pin down.

As I was typing this, LenDale White was placed on waivers (I know his owner is really down on him, but I was surprised at this). I am dropping Maurice Morris for him, but my waiver priority is 8th so I don't know if I'll get him unless everyone is asleep at the switch.

5. Chad Johnson: His owner seems spooked by the shoulder injury (benched for week one). Now might be the time to buy low with a Roddy White for Chad Johnson deal. Chad Johnson carries a lot of risk, though. I like this deal more than the Bowe one. Few times can you get a great WR this cheaply. You can keep him for next year which minimizes any injury concern.

He accepted Roddy White for Chad Johnson straight up. I think I got a steal (albeit a risky one). Reggie Wayne-Marques Colston-Chad Johnson-Roy Williams is a pretty absurd receiving corps.

Congrats on the trade. I did notice that MoMo is starting this week, so you might use that as leverage to upgrade another position in addition to WR. Or, you can hang onto him for a week in hopes of MoMo playing well and then ask for even more.

Good post. You're right about Bryant Johnson being unlikely to start for me this year (and if he does I might be in pretty bad shape anyway). Even if Rice puts up lesser numbers than Bryant Johnson, he might have good trade value at the end of the season even if he is unlikely to make my keepers, whereas Bryant Johnson would have to break out huge to make it as anyone's keeper.

I would offer bulger and ask for a smith and swap mccareins for welker or mason if you can. With the good wrs on the waiver wire, I would only do this deal if you can get a solid wr back. No need going after ginn, etc when you have good options on the waiver wire

You can try for White ... but I did not think the other owner would go for it. I prefer Welker to Mason just on the QB situation. The Ravens look to be in trouble with a rookie QB starting. I say that because very few have enjoyed strong fantasy seasons.

Again, I love Galloway's matchup and have no idea how the Manning to Wayne express will do in week 1, but I can't imagine sitting Wayne for Galloway.

I love Jacobs tonight and think the Giants will get ahead and pound Jacobs. Also, I like Wayne. Galloway is not totally healthy this week so start the healthy stud.

Ben easily .... Hass has limited weaponsWesty/Parker easy choices at RBHolt/Harrison easily at WRFlex is fairly tough for me. Most weeks, I would say Willis, but his health (or lack therof) scares me so I am staying away. MoMo vs Coles. In a PPR, I would start Coles if he is healthy (Which I think he is). The Jets will throw for 200 yds and Colles/Cotch are the only options, imo. Miller. I will want to see how much the rookie targets Heap before starting him.

Welcome to Footballguys.You have a good team with some strong players. I do think that picking two RBs each week will be tough. With that said, I think I would start Selvin because he is the primary ball carrier no matter what. McFadden vs Graham is tough for me. I would not argue with anyone either way on these two. But, I think I would play Graham until I see how the Raiders break the carries.
