.5 PPR standard scoringDustin Keller vs. NYJTodd Heap vs. OAKOakland has been pretty bad at stopping TE's so far this year, but Keller could see an increase in targets as Cotch or Coles may not play.
I think I would roll with Keller just because the Raven will not throw that much versus OAK

Hey Jeff

Looking for advice on which 2 WR's to start this week:

Points are 1 for every 10 yards and 6 for TD's.

1. Washington vs NYG

2. Moore vs SD

3. Floyd vs NO

4. Furrey vs Wash

5. Walter vs Cin

Thanks...

Floyd is the best option. My second choice would come down to walter or washington. i think i would risk it and take a chance on the upside of nate washington.

Considering trade for R. Wayne .........redraft He has R. I would offer Jacobs (definitely) for Wayne. I would even add Chambers if need be. You will not need him and getting Wayne will help your lineup a ton. Good luck this week.

you have some great matchups this week with MJD, Slaton, and Westy at RB and Flex, Calvin and Bryant at WR. You have a good team, congrats.

Hey Jeff, appreciate your thoughts on this.

In a 14 team league, start 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1flex... 0.5 PPR this season, 1 PPR next season. We must keep 4 players at season end. Draft goes from worst to first for rounds 1-3, then serpentine...

My team:

QB: Cutler, Rodgers (lucked out draft day)

RB: LT, Portis, Gore, McFadden, Benson

WR: SSmith, Calvin, Cotchery, Ocho

TE: Daniels

K: Prater

D: Jax

I've received an offer from the guy in 3rd last place.

I give: LT, Rodgers, Ocho

He gives: Marshall, Delhomme, 2009 1st, 2nd and 5th

I'm tempted... I might sub Cutler for Rodgers as Rodgers has a nice playoff run. With my depth, an extra early draft pick next season could let me recoup whoever I need to cut at season end. However, I do trade away LT for this year's playoff run.

Thoughts on this deal or how you would evaluate it?

Thanks

I like it. I think LT has few top tier years left and you are selling high in a PPR league. In addition, I might counter by getting a RB thrown in since you will be without one of your stars the next two weeks. I am just thinking of a startable RB assuming McFadden is out. I love Marshall in PPR leagues.

Heya Jeff,

I know it's early, but I would like to know what you think about a TE to fill in for Gates in week 9. Here are the guys on the waiver:

Stevens vs KC

Boss vs Dal

Fasano vs Den

Smith vs Sea (concussion?)

Winslow vs Bal (obvious choice, but he is suckin' this year, and isn't so good vs Bal)

Heap vs Cle

Lee vs Ten

Watson vs Ind

Crumpler vs GB

Royal vs NYJ

Keller vs Buf

Bennet vs NYG (if Witten is out pick him right?)

Who do I drop to pick them up? Team is in my sig.

Also, great advice on Houston's Def this week! Thanks for helping me cross the century mark for the first time this year

Glad to help. I think Bennett is a great play if Witten misses time. If not, I think I would lean toward Fasano, with Winslow the 3rd choice. I would drop the Texan defense and hope Minny scores more against Houston than the other way around. The other choice for a drop would be a WR.

Jeff- still trying to trade away Warner & Leinart (PPR dynasty), I also own Rodgers and Schaub. Only about 3 teams that could use a QB and so far have tried to land Grant and McGahee in separate trades and both were turned down. Here are a few other options I'm thinking of offering:

B. Edwards & Fargas- worth a try or no way they would ever do this

T Owens & C Taylor- I own AD, he also owns Jennings and Burress. I would think Jennings has too much value and not sure I trust Plaxico

Hey Jeff - It's me again with another question. Thanks in advance for your input!

A little background - I am 7-1 and am by far and away leading my 12 team auction league. I have made one trade thus far this season sending my Eddie Royal and Shockey for A. Gates. I really liked the deal for me, because I never started Royal once and Shockey, well you know...

I would like to get my team ready for the stretch run, but I have another guy who is only 4-4, but has had some bad luck (which I am sure will change) and has made some major deals as of late that to be honest have me shaking in my boots, come playoff time.

Two questions, could you look at both rosters and tell me if I should pursue one more trade - first the rosters (only major players) and then the potential trade.

We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, (or 1 RB and 3 WR) 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Def.

His team: Peyton, LT, ADP, Lynch, Deuce, McFadden, Fitz, Jennings, L Moore, I Bruce, O Daniels

My team: Cutler, Schaub, SJax, R Grant, Turner, Hightower, D Avery, B Marshall, Calvin, V Jackson, Gates

We can keep 2-5 players for next season.

I am considering to offer this trade to the owner of a team that is 1-7 and I am sure ready to build for next season.

My Cutler for his Portis. Portis has been the most consistent back and mine are not alway consistent. My thinking is I could play Portis and SJax or whoever has the best matchup that week.

Good deal or stay put and play the best matchup between Schaub and Cutler?

Thanks for your help!

I do not like the Portis deal. I think I would prefer offering Schaub and Grant or Turner for Portis ... and you keep the elite passer in Cutler. On the other team, I do not see anything unless you could get LT or Jennings. If you do not get Portis, just play Turner against bad teams. I glanced quickly at the schedule and it looks like he has a ood matchup every other week, with a nice one this coming weekend.

Need some help on who to start. Use traditional yahoo scoring.

Need to pick 2 RB, 3 WRs, and 2 RB/WR flex

Burress

Avery

Cotchery

Houshmanzadeh

Calvin Johnson

Cedric Benson

Steve Slaton

Matt Forte

MBIII

Portis

Also need to choose a QB between Eli and Favre

Thoughts?

I would go with Eli against a beat up Dallas secondary. MB3 and Forte at RB.And, I would start all five WRs.I really do not like Slaton or Portis due to their matchups. My, you have a great team. It is tough to say to bench the great-producing RBs.

hi jeff!, I have a trade question for you.

start 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1K, 1DST

1pt for 10 yd pass, catch, run

5 pt for TD pass

10 pt for TD catch run

I think I can get Jamal Lewis for Santana Moss to bolster my weak RBs. Washington has a weak Strength of Schedule especially compared to Detroit (Calvin). Am I pretty much all in if I make this trade? (my record is 3-5).

Alternatively, I may be able to get Earnest Graham and Pennington or Garcia for Santana and Rhodes (other team has Addai)

I am second guessing myself because Moss is #1 WR in our league right now. Am I giving away too much or is this the definition of selling high?

ROSTER:

J Campbell

D Rhodes

S Slaton

A Stecker ®

A Green ®

C Benson ®

D Williams ®

K Smith ®

A Johnson

C Johnson

S Moss ®

J Witten

S Gostkowski

Packers

Thanks,

ben

Hey Ben,I think I would try to offer Calvin for Lewis or Graham, assuming this is a redraft league. Graham has a great matchup this week vs KC so he would be nice to get. I would think that Santana would fetch a better RB than Lewis ....Lewis has not played well.

Two questions for you for this week....non PPR, 12 team, 10 yds=1pt, all TDs=6pts, 25 return yds=1pt

Who do I start at RB2? J Lewis (tough matchup), Fargas (decent matchup and starter), or Norwood (great matchup and returns kicks)..Leaning towards Huggy Bear Jr.

At TE (have Witten but not sure how he'll play and I'll use the same one for next weeks bye)..Carlson or Z Miller?

I would say Fargas, especially if McFadden is out or limited. The ATL defense is not strong. Norwood would be my second choice. At tight end, I like Miller against the Falcons.

Jeff~

Someone just dropped Carlson. I am trying to fill in for Gates this week, so I picked up Bennet. Should I switch it out? Philly has been very generous to the TE, but it is Seattle we're talking about :hophead:

Hey Jeff,The LT owner in my league has made it known he will entertain offers. Here is my roster for a start 1/2/2/1 flex/1 TE league:Matt Schaub/Jay CutlerMarques Colston/Calvin Johnson/Brandon Marshall/Anquan Boldin/Bobby Engram/Josh MorganChris Johnson/Westy/MJD/Marshawn Lynch/Selvin Young/LenDale White/Aaron SteckerZach Miller/Tony SchefflerScoring is 1/30, 1/10 all TD's=6 and .5 PPR. I feel like my team is pretty solid even though I'm only middle of the pack right now. If you had this team, would you go after LT? What would your initial trade offer be? What would your highest offer (player(s)) be?Here is the LT owner's roster:Jeff Garcia/Tony Romo/Matt RyanHolt/VJax/Kevin Walter/Jennings/Steve Breaston/Chris Chambers/Lance Moore/Donnie AveryLaDainian Tomlinson/DeAngelo Williams/Willie Parker/Ryan Torain/Jamaal CharlesMarcedes LewisThanks!!!
I will assume this is a redraft league. I think I would offer deals with Lynch as the main guy to give. He also needs a QB and WR so I would offer Calvin and Schaub for LT, Ryan, Breaston (since you have Boldin). I think that is a very good offer. If he balks, you can toss in WHite. None of these players affect your lineup, other than the upgrade at RB. You have a good team and i would trade depth for studs.
First off, yes it is a redraft league, sorry about that. A couple of questions:So you feel I can ride with Cutler and Ryan at QB? Seems a little risky maybe? What about Lynch and Calvin for LT, Breaston and the Tampa D? You feel LT is worth going after in my situation? IE a buy low.
I would go after LT just because you prob dont need to start Lynch or Calvin (with Boldin and Colston healthy) anyway. You might ask for Garcia and Ryan if worried about Cutler. If so, just give a little more. I think this is a good deal for you.
Nothing got worked out prior to last week's games, so I imagine LT is going for a little more now. I started out with Lynch & Calvin for LT and Tampa and after some bartering, here is his latest offer:LT, Holt and Tampa for Chris Johnson, MJD and Calvin. I don't really want to lose MJD or Chris Johnson, but I started thinking that MJD really only has 3 more good starts (Cincy, Detroit and Houston) and 2 of them are on the road plus I will agree to the trade after this week's games. He still has Taylor chipping away at carries and the D is obviously not what they were supposed to be which is getting Jax out of their running game quicker than they would like. Tennessee pretty much has the division wrapped up and have a 2 game lead on everyone else for home field, so they might lock things up early and rest some players. Their schedule isn't that bad, but isn't great either. If I do this, my starting roster would be:CutlerLT/WestyMarshall/BoldinFlex--Lynch/Colston/...Scheffler/MillerKTampa/Carolinawith Schaub, Selvin, Stecker, Lendale, Ginn and Engram Am I over analyzing this and talking myself into the deal? What about adding White giving him the Tenn backfield--what could I ask for in return?I was looking at Schaub and Ryan's schedules and maybe something like MJD, Calvin and Schaub for LT, Tampa and Breaston? What do you think?

I think you should consider the deal. It is risky, but that is what redrafts are all about, imo. It should help your starters' points each week. I would hold onto WHite and Schaub just for injury insurance. Not to sit on the fince, but only you know whether that is too muhc risk. If me, I roll the dice with the assumption that this team is good as is, but maybe not good enough to win it all.

Hey Jeff!

Team 1

TE (1)

Winslow v Ravens

Miller v ATL

Miller for now

WR (2)

A Bryant @ KC

Cotchery @ BUF

Jennings @ TEN

Royal v MIA

Cotch and and Royal. I like Jennings a ton, but it is a tough matchup

TO is my given in this situation, you would still start him over Jennings though right?

RB -- I have Larry Johnson but I want to DROP him for one of the guys below--who do you like best (rank'em please)

Kevin Faulk @ INDY

Leon Washington @ BUF

Leonard Weaver v PHI

Derrick Ward v DAL

Ray Rice @ CLE

I would keep LJ for now. If dropping him, I like Ward and Rice best.

Okay, you have gotten my attention with this one, WHY keep LJ? You don't see a greater upside moving forward with the other options above?

RB (2)

I have....

Chris Johnson v GB

M Turner @ OAK

Reggie Bush is still out so do I start these 2 guys above or 1 of them along with the guy you think I should pick up when I drop Larry Johnson?

Love both of these this week.

DEF (1)

Chicago v Detroit

Jax @ Cincy

Chicago because of Hester

----------

TEAM 2

QB (1)

Warner @ STL

Schaub @ MIN

Warner

RB (2)

Slaton @ MIN

M Moore @ WASH

MBIII v NYG

MB3 and Slaton, Parker is prob back this week

So, do I drop Mr. Moore?

WR (3)

DeSean Jackson @ SEA

D Avery v ARI

Reggie Wayne is a given

S Holmes @ WASH

E Royal v MIA

Wayne, Desean and Avery ... these two rookies are hot recently

---Do I keep S Holmes who is headed for more trouble? Do I grab up one of the guys below?

Ginn Jr @ DEN

Matt Jones @ CIN

Nate Washington @ WASH

Keep Holmes

Plus I need 1 Flex (WR/RB) i am leaning towards a WR this week b/c most of my RB's are on a bye this week and I am concerned about MBIII.

What do you think? Flex = Royal

DEF (1)

Baltimore @ CLE

Minny v HOU

Baltimore

Thanks again Jeff sorry about how many questions and concerns I have this week. You are my patient and wise friend!
Good luck this week.

Without quoting everything, here are the questions in order:

TO and Jennings is a close one ... I would lean toward TO ... ever so slightly.

LJ has upside if/when he comes back. He might only give you one HUGE game in your fantasy playoffs, but that would be enough to warrant keeping him.

I would hesitate to drop Moore until you see Parker play a game (without re-injury), plus you will need a RB next week to cover Barber.

Hi Jeff,

Standard scoring, 1/10yd, 6/TD, -2/fumble lost, non-PPR.

How do you feel about Slaton @MIN? Is someone like Kevin Faulk @IND a safer matchup?

Also, who would you start out of these four WRs?

Wayne (vs. NE) - a little worried about his knee

Moss (@IND)

DeSean Jackson (@SEA) - easiest matchup maybe and still looks to be #1 WR

White (@OAK) - afraid Asomugha will shut him down

I'm leaning towards Wayne (if healthy) and Jackson right now but really am not sure.

Finally, Jacobs (vs. DAL) or Graham (@KC)? I'm worried about Graham having to play more FB even though the matchup is so good.

Thanks again as always Jeff.

Start Graham this week. Dunn is out and the Chiefs are horrible vs run. The WRs is a tough one. I think I would start DeSean, but the other one is a tossup. I might go with Roddy since he has been so hot. I almost get the feeling that the IND/NE game might be low scoring. Faulk is safer than Slaton, but less upside. I think I would go with Faulk this week.
