Ware are you Demarcus? (1 Viewer)

Demarcus Ware is fast becoming a liability in my line-up in a couple of leagues where roster space is tight...does he even sniff a handful of sacks this year? If his ceiling is say 7 sacks...is he worth keeping if his tackles remain low?

A lot of the big sack guys from last year are struggling, Harrison only has 1 I think, Ware has none, Woodley had 11 and has only 3 tackles for the year. There is still a lot of football left so I would not give up on these guys yet, Ware is a proven stud and has been one almost every year he has played, I would give him a couple more weeks before dropping him unless you have a guy like David Harris to replace him with. Just mho.

Though Harrison kept up his solid dual tackle/sack pace in both 07 and 08, this is generally what you'll get when you hitch your wagon to a rush OLB. Ware and Harrison contribute enough (usually) outside of the pass rush columns to have okay value on their non-sack weeks, but most other rush OLBs will not. Unless you're willing to take the bad with the good (and hope that the good happens more often than the bad), there are two situations where these guys make sense in your lineup.

1. Big play scoring system.

2. LB2/3 alongside a number of other consistent lineup performers where they're bad weeks won't hurt you much.

:goodposting: I recently traded for Ware so he can play "next to" Lofton, Morrison, and Vilma. The guy I traded with needed more consistent scoring, I'm hoping for a couple big games.

Not sure Ware will get the 1.5 sacks being forecast for him this week (Clady is solid) and this Dallas team doesn't play from ahead as often as years past...color me pessimistic on Ware.
