Just curious to know what your thoughts are.....we know both of these guys can play, but have they both already had their time in the spotlight or do you think they could surpass expectations for the rest of the season?
I think Warner has a better shot than Culpepper for being a consistent fantasy start, but neither are Top 5 by any stretch. Warner could be serviceable if he takes his medication for fumble-itis.
Both are on the downside and are major injury risks. Warner is the better bet, however 1 big hit and he will claim the seat next to Trent Green. Culpepper has shown nothing so far. The 3 TD runs did not impress. Fargas could have done that as he rolled up 180 yards on that porous run D.
Why is Culpepper on the downside and/or a major injury risk? Culpepper's a year younger than Peyton Manning and about 6 months older than Tom Brady. Are they on the downside of their careers, too? Hell, Culpepper's only a year older than Garrard, and he's being viewed as potentially the future of the Jacksonville franchise. I also don't get why he's any more of an injury risk than he was 3 years ago when he was considered potentially the #1 fantasy QB in the league.
