Perhaps Tony Romo's girlfriends should stay home from his games.

Wearing a pink Cowboys jersey (with Romo's No. 9 on it) and mouthing his name, Jessica Simpson made a surprise appearance at Texas Stadium Sunday to watch her new Dallas Cowboys quarterback beau play the Philadelphia Eagles.

Not only did his team lose 10-6, the Associated Press reports, Romo's quarterback rating of 22.2 was also the worst of his career. He completed 13 of 36 passes for 214 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions.

Tim MacMahon, who blogs the Cowboys games for the Dallas Morning News, wrote, "No wonder Tony Romo hasn't completed a pass. Jessica Simpson, wearing a white-and-pink Romo jersey, is sending him bad vibes from a luxury suite."

"Jessica Simpson owes it to her man to leave at halftime, although that would mean sacrificing valuable face time on national TV. Don't count on it."

Romo's previous low rating was last December when then-love Carrie Underwood turned up at Texas Stadium, where the Cowboys lost against the Eagles 23-7.

Well, either that or the Eagles seem to know how to play Romo correctly.(I would think this to be the more likely cause)

Well, either that or the Eagles seem to know how to play Romo correctly.(I would think this to be the more likely cause)

I've now seen an article from US magazine posted in the Shark Pool, and it wasn't an accident or schtick. Yup, this place is headed downhill.

The best was my intense buddy who's a big Eagles fan watching the game.

"GEEZ! THERE'S A GAME GOING ON! NO ONE GIVES A S***!"

And the more they showed her the more pissed off he got. It was pretty funny.

After the 300th time I said, "Funny, they're not showing that hot male model that TO is getting with these days."

Cue rapturous applause, and everyone dropping the subject finally.

 
If Jessica was responsible for his poor performance, I'd like to sign up for poor performances for the next few days.

 
I don't blame Jessica for Romos' poor performance.

I do, however, blame her for the accelerating pace of recession of the Glacier Ururashraju in Peru's Cordillera Blanca, the Teapot Dome Scandal, and for perpetuating that ungodly myth that the Coriolis effect causes water to flow down the drain counterclockwise in the northern hemisphere.

What a beeotch.

This is so ######ed the question or even the suggestion that Jessica Simpson had any effect on Romo's game. FYI Jessica Simpson was at the Packers game and also at another game after that one (cant remember which one) the point being Romo performed well in each of those games and won prior to losing the Eagles.

 
You heard of fighters not having sex before fights.......I think she threw it on him on the way to the stadium. That would explain most of it......

Plus.....he should have spanked her with his left hand instead of his right. :stalker: Don't get me started on the thumb thing.

 
Guys, there is serious NFL knowledge to be gained here.

Why do these women show up in December? They are looking for a big Christmas present. I didn't see Carrie picking up the pieces of his broken heart in Seattle last January. And don't expect Jessica to be in Green Bay next month asking if Cheeseheads are really made out of cheese.

You really have to question Romo's judgment and decision-making ability, when he can be so obviously manipulated by famous women around the holidays.

I'd be more then happy to let her manipulate me! :kicksrock: Seriously...she made no difference to his performance, and any suggestion otherwise is just some idiotic reporters reaching for a story.

"Right now, Jessica Simpson is not a fan favorite in this locker room or in Texas Stadium," T.O. said. "I think with everything that has happened, and obviously the way Tony (Romo) played and the comparison between her and Carrie Underwood, I think a lot of people feel like she's probably taking his focus away. Other than that, she was at the top of my list until last week."
