***Washington vs Pittsburgh -6(43.5)*** (1 Viewer)

Typically, Tomlin is one of them.  He is utterly horrid at clock/time out management.   This time?  Blind squirrel, meet nut.
I was trying to be nice, thought Tomlin might be a culprit but I seem to recall some other times he has made good moves and out-coached the opponent. You guys know better so I'll check my exuberance. Cheers

Pittsburgh screwed up using that timeout with 2:11 left.  If they let it hit 2:00 mins then they would still have 2 timeouts right now with about 1:45 left.

Instead the clock getting to 1:59 instead of being 2:01 pretty much has cost them any chance to stop force a FG and still have a shot.

At the time they called it with 2:11 I thought it was a mistake but now 100x bigger mistake.

Well the only good thing is that we don't have to hear people talking about how much of a undefeated fraud we were.   Based on the last 2 games, they were right .  Too many drops.  Can't run the ball.

Well, unless I am mistaken, the Steelers would still be the 1 seed even with this loss. Better to lose to an NFC team than to one in the AFC.  Still four weeks to play, but this was inevitable.

Vintage Ron Rivera, has his team in the thick of the Playoff Race and the Division Title, he's got a 3 day head start on next week, the man speaks a dozen NFL Languages on Defense, knows officials in every NFL Stadium, with any luck he's already got the Lombardi Trophy secured.

KC a lot more likely to win out than Pittsburgh in my opinion

If I am honest, I can't wait until this is no longer a thing.

That team deserves the accolades as it's a feat not repeated since.

But the tradition of celebrating undefeated teams' first loss is decidedly unclassy and more than a little lame.
I agree its pretty lame.  I think probably it's just more of a reason for them to get together and reunite together.  They'll probably lose a lot of the closeness they have once they stop doing it.

Maybe they'll do a socially distanced one this year.  Probably not a good idea for 50 75 year old dudes meeting up together :P

I believe it's an urban legend. Besides, Shula and many of the players are no longer around. And Mercury Morris said he was pulling for Cam Newton when the Panthers were 14-0 back in 2015.

My 6 year old son just started bawling after that loss.  He really got obsessed  with football around the middle of last year.  Last year he never got emotional because they weren’t that good.

Don’t ever let him become a Cowboy fan. We been crying since Jimmy Johnson walked.😒

Late to the party but that was a gross game by the Steelers.  Losing to WAS (or any NFL team) isn't a surprise as they weren't going to go undefeated.  But losing to them after being up 14-0 sucks.  At that point in the game WAS was 0-8 (or whatever) on 3rd down.  Props to WAS for making the plays they had to make to win.

Long term the Steelers need to actually catch passes, need to improve the running game, and they need to stop getting hurt on defense.
