Watching Thursday night games on nfl.com (1 Viewer)

Has anyone tried this before, any feedback?

Also, do you know if there's a subscription to view (cost)

Thank you

I tried to watch last week and it was really bad...stopped all the time. Free, but not worth it. :topcat:

I've watched the 1st quarter of the last 2 games and I'll be honest, your going to miss some drives.

They will go back to "headquarters" for discussion and will talk over a drive or 2.

I tried watching it in the 4th Q but it said the viewing room was full. You might want to get in early to watch it.

best link for watching free sports on the computer that I know of, steams are perfect some weeks and lots of games on sunday usually. (lots of them bring you to the justin site anyways)

last week i watched the game on Justin.TVnot sure how that guy gets away with it.
I try doing this on Sundays and before the 1st quarter is over most all the links no longer work. Some of the games work the whole game though and are usually good quality.
Most games are on Justin.tv or TVAnts. TvAnts games were pretty good in the beginning but now i can't seem to find a game (that I want to watch) that will stay on the entire game. And there are a huge number of freezes and stoppages. I've never seen a game on Justin.tv that was watchable due to the number and frequency of freezes. HDTV feeds are the best. Very few games are streamed over this however. They are awesome quality and almost no freezing at all.Nothing beats paying your $200 for DirectTV I'm afraid.

Completely unwatchable. I find it more informative and entertaining to stare at Gamecenter on my computer screen.

I've actually had pretty good luck watching on NFL.com, although I've only done it a couple of times this season.

I watched the first half online last night and I thought it was a pretty good deal. Very clear picture and I was surprised they showed as much of the game as they did.

2 weeks ago, I watched about a quarter of the Thursday night game on NFL.com. I thought it was great. Not perfect TV quality, but still much, much better than 6 years of my football watching off an analog antenae from 1984-1989 before we got cable TV where I live. We've become so spoiled with modern technology we don't even know it! I won't even bring up the many baseball games in the 70's I was perfectly content to listen to on a transistor AM radio in bed at night when I was a child. I've got HD and a widescreen now, ..but always got to remember where you've came from!

Watching the games on NFL Network is a bit better.
Not when your cable carrier isn't allowed to show the game. Just a black screen.
Satellite? U Verse? Are neither of them options?
Satellite is an option, just costs more and reception issues. I'd rather not pay more for intermittant quality even though there is more to watch. This is based on watching satellite at nearby houses and I'm not impressed. I guess I'll just live with missing thursday games.

Once you get U Verse in your area I strongly recommend it. I chose it over satellite because of those reception issues, no problems so far and service has been great. :pickle:

Worked VERY WELL for me. I'm running 300+kb/sec DSL (actual) on a a sub-$400 laptop. Much better than the 'pirate' sites last year. I logged in after the first quarter. You do miss some of the game when they go to the 'studio' though.

So Justin TV and NFL network both suck and not work watching is what your guys are saying?
I have been watching games on Justin quite a bit this season. Sure there are some stoppages or or choppy feeds but I find this to be rare and usually a quick of the F5 key will refresh the page and eliminate the problems. There are also usually more than one feed for the Monday and Thursday night games so if one isn't to your liking you have options.
