Sports Science only bring in the creme-de-le-creme of the sports world to participate in their tests.Last year before the draft Nmdamukung Suh was the top rated DT and he was chosens for the show. I felt he was a generational prospect so, no the show didn't change my mind, but loved what I saw of him on Sports Science last year. This year their isn't a clear cut #1 prospect and I've had Dareus as the top choice in one of my mocks so the show wouldn't change my mind in that I've already had Dareus listed as #1 and I don't feel Cam is the top ranked player just as I thought that Sam Bradford wasn't the #1 ranked player last year. Per the show, I didn't think Dareus would best Suh on any test but he did. Dareus is impressive and he tests impressive and the one thing he showed me in college is that he is a serious hitter who will hurt people just as he knocked Colt McCoy out of a game on a routine play, he is a hitter.Blowing thru 900 lbs of bags and slamming a QB dummy with over 3,800 lbs of pressure in the record shattering time is impressive especially for a serious hitting DT prospect who may very well be the top ranked player of this draft and it wouldn't shock anyone if he got selected first.
I don't consider Colin Kaepernick the creme-de-le-creme of football. If Dareus goes number 1 sports science will not have had any effect on the panthers pick.
Dareus isn't a nobody just like last year when Nmdamukung Suh participated on the show to display his raw power.Suh's abilty didn't make him the #1 pick even with an impressive display on top of all of everything else. This year Dareus' abilty may not make him the #1 pick but he's already shown what he can do.Sports Science is a perfect way to showcase the raw power of both Suh and Dareus and both impressed on the show. Sports Science is the perfect format for showcasing raw power because NOBODY can fake some of their raw power testing like running thru 900lbs of bags in record shattering time and hitting with over 3,800lbs of pressure.I agree that Kap isn't considered creme-de-le-creme but I have to confess that I don't watch the show however I did catch last year with Suh and was impressed. I never thought Dareus would do better than Suh but he did so yeah I am impressed. I feel that four or five guys could go #1 and that Dareus' display of raw power bumps him back up to the #1 pick in my mind even if I am sure Newton will be taken ahead of him.
