Weak at QB? Start working on a trade for Hasselbeck (1 Viewer)

Hasselbeck faces a brutal schedule over the next stretch, with a bye followed by 5 straight weeks against top 8 teams against the pass (using last week's S.O.S. rankings via FBG's).

I am probably going to start working on trades in two of my leagues using this as the premise = Hasselbeck s not going to do you any good over this stretch = let me take him off of your hands. The teams he faces are:

wk 5: bye

wk 6: Rams

wk 7: Vikings

wk 8: Chiefs

wk 9: Raiders

wk10: Rams

These defenses, while currently ALL top 8 vs. the pass, don't put too much fear in many teams (Vikings the lone exception IMHO). The kicker is, after this stretch is over they get...

wk 11: 49'ers

wk 12: Packers

wk 13: Denver

wk 14: Cardinals

wk 15: 49'ers

wk 16: Chargers

wk's 13 and 16 aside, this is a great schedule down the stretch.

Hasselbeck has only had one good (OK it rocked!) game thus far, with two very poor performances = the Hass owner has to be worried about his investment.

IF your Hass owner needs help immediately, while you are in fine shape, it's prime time to make this deal to assist with your team down the stretch.

Hass is a prime buy low candidate, and has HUGE upside down the stretch.

All of this may be true, but you won't buy him low, I guarantee that. Not with his stable of receivers.

Guy in my local redraft just gave up Willie Parker and Delhomme for Hasselbeck.

I wouldn't call that paying a low price. I think he made a major mistake.

I got Hasselbeck for Dominic Rhodes and Bernard Berrian after his week 2 performance. Then he blew up enough for me in week 3 to make me wary of letting him go.

By week 11 when the schedule eases up, Alexander will be healthy again and he'll be the one getting the TDs for that team with Hasselbeck getting his 1TD and 200yds a game.
