The unsportsmanlike for 15 yds for a salute was piss poor pathetic. The NCAA is a joke and the primary reason I dont watch college football.

If they let the salute go they'd have to let a whole lot of other individual gestures and routines go, which the don't want to do.

I think the NCAA has gone overboard as well, but the refs called it right by the rules and the kid really should have known they would.

This would be correct if similar stuff didn't happen all the time. We see small gestures that certainly are individual ones in seemingly every game. Heck, it just happened on the Tenn TD a minute ago. Its like calling palming at the end of an NBA playoff game.
